A Wadsworth man will spend three years in prison for providing a Creston woman with heroin that killed her and then dumping her body in Cleveland in 2014.
Kevin Fisher, 36, of the 500 block of Jessica Lane, was sentenced Monday by Medina County Common Pleas Judge Christopher J. Collier on one count of corrupting another with drugs, a second-degree felony; one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony; and one count of gross abuse of a corpse, a fifth-degree felony. He received credit for 713 days already served.
An autopsy report showed 49-year-old Lorrie Pratt, of Creston, died Oct. 25, 2014, of an overdose.
Fisher pleaded guilty in April. A charge of involuntary manslaughter and repeat violent offender specification were dropped as part of a plea agreement, according to court documents.
