While that may be...

MOO....more may be asking why she needed to come from a safe place

.... and to aggressively come others with a knife after the police arrived. Vs. staying in a safe place.

She came OUT of the house... MOO
There may have been a sustained build-up to this that took her to the place where she disregarded everything around her except for her targets.

We don't know what preceded her rage. None of us know that.
Fear can be a factor in rage precipitation.
We need to await the facts here.
Rage does not come out of nowhere.

So so true! Does Ms Reid know the facts of this case, to discuss and describe how Ma'Khia was feeling? Or, was that just speculation and narrative on her part? Hmmm

Well, I share those views..
I feel nothing but compassion for this girl and I am interested in finding out the circumstances which led to her rash actions.

The kicker appeared to say something to MB immediately prior to her running towards the others. I still cannot fathom where he came from, however he seemed to have some involvement, otherwise why did he kick the girl on the ground. Was he a neighbour, friend of one of the participants, the foster father? Who knows but he certainly got involved very quickly JMO

Exactly! IMO, this hideous excuse of a man is Key to the story! MB came out of the house as LE arrived, the two other women were already outside, it appeared peaceful...then the Head-Punt dude suddenly does his master move ( to stop Victim one from talking? ), and MB lunges after Victim two with a knife ( to stop her from talking? ). Something was seriously wrong, and the two remaining and alive victims in this case were needed to be silenced by MB and El-disgusto, so that they would not tell LE something. All, IMO

It'd be nice if news outlets stuck to reporting the information they have rather than speculating on motive.

I think it was her Bio dad.
IMO
He’s the same age.

Oh this brings up so many more questions if that proves to be the case. My mind is in overdrive now!

Why would the bio dad be there if she had been removed from his care? MOO

I have not heard one iota of information on, or statements from the bio-dad. Did he live in the same neighborhood as MB, with her foster family? And, if indeed this guy was her bio-dad, then the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Rage=rage.
Children live what they learn. So so sad

A possible scenario in this type of situation could be, the parents not living together for whatever reason, the daughter/s being put into foster care from mums home and someone phoning dad for help as he lived nearby/had transport/not at work. All JMO of course

There is a new report out there not sure if MSM about a recording of the chaos and kicker referring to MB as his "baby".......I believe he is her bio dad and that would explain his defense of her by kicking the girl. Not defending him, mind you, but it explains his rash behavior. JMO

Found this video with new info.

"Since November, there have been seven [911] calls to the home on Legion Lane." Foster mom had called 911 complaining about a 10-yr-old removing ornaments from xmas tree & yelling. Also called to report her foster children running away. MB's 15 yr old sister Jania called a month ago asking to get out of that foster home. Police told her they couldn't help with that and she said if they didn't get her out of that house she was going to kill someone.

Something was NOT right in that foster home.

Some screenshots with quotes from the

This is all IMO:
Having worked in child welfare and with foster parents, I don't think we can jump to the conclusion that the foster home/parent was the problem.

The prior 911 calls and situations are not necessarily "red flags", especially if this was a specialized foster home where children and teens with emotional/psychiatric issues were placed. Hypothetically, a foster parent who is good at working with this population might have a higher likelihood of police visits, due to having children who have more severe issues.

Part of the issue is that many times, foster home placements are used as an alternative to residential treatment, as a less restrictive environment. IMO, this is an effective and less traumatic option for the majority of children (and is mecessary due to a lack of residential treatment facilities). However, this does not always work for every child.

Again, this is only my opinion and there are also problematic and even abusive foster homes. Just wanted to give a different perspective.

'We don't know the details of what happened beforehand but I'm bothered that no one is asking what could've scared a 16-year-old girl enough that she felt that she had to grab a kitchen knife facing two adult women,' Reid said.

'No one's asking what would've scared a kid who's in a foster situation so much that she felt that she needed to defend herself or pick up a knife,' she added.
Joy Reid claims Ma'Khia Bryant must have been 'scared' when she lunged at another girl with a knife | Daily Mail Online

Wth? Did this woman even watch the video? Maybe she's on a news channel that purposefully, imo, edited out what really happened. Gah! Still imo what's she said is ridiculous because its once again filled with misinformation.

Imo, there isn't any excuse for what M did. None.

She certainly wasn't scared nor using self defense. M was the full on angry aggressor.

Why some try to make the offender into the victim is mind boggling.

It reminds me of the PC in WDC who made excuses for the two young minors who are AA girls that killed an Uber driver when they carjacked his vehicle when he was just doing his job trying to make an honest living to provide for his family. Shortly after that more minors crashed their stolen vehicle killing a thirty year old dad who was on the way to buy Easter baskets for his children.

There isn't any excuse for inexcusable violent behavior.

I wonder if JR even covered those tragic cases that should have been covered extensively on all stations. Carjacking in WDC are skyrocketing, and at least 20 percent or more are done by very young teens.

That itself should be a big news story covered by all. I highly doubt they did.

Jmho

So, the Miami Herald....releases the names of victims/witnesses in a probable media-stirred frenzy case of "Black person dead at the hands of Police" for what purpose, I wonder?

Please note....again....There is absolutely ZERO mentioned of the miscreant's name, kicking the **** out of a woman's head when she is on the ground..... (just his anguished cry). This is our media!

Yes! It's a horrible tragedy! A young woman lost her life tragically. But, this is not the next GF case, IMO. Chauvin was guilty, we all saw it! This cop is not! We can see that as well. And, IMO our MSM must stop fanning the flames!! We are all hot enough and burned enough already. Peace

Seems MB FELT threatened, whether she actually was, or not. We do not know all the details, so we have to wait for BCI investigation and interviews to complete. Obviously a troubled child, or she wouldn't have been in foster care in the first place. The whole story is tragic. JMO

For all we know, kicker may have been detained by BCI. If no reporters interviewed him, he didn't give them his name. Maybe no one gave his name. jmo
