I'd be willing to bet they are already involved. I don't think there is any chance this was another teen and LE was likely aware of that from the beginning and is taking appropriate action.

They probably are involved, but it's so sad and scary that 1) There are such disgusting predatory people in this world who would do this and 2) These Apps exist that might make tracing their identity/location impossible even in this day and age.

There are a lot of vulnerable people out there and they are just seeking friendship or a relationship. It's important that all of the blame go to the predators for exploiting that and that these predators don't get let out again once caught.

A Colerain Township father said he has not slept in days as he searches for his missing 16-year-old daughter, Madison Fields, who vanished after leaving to meet someone she met online.

The Colerain Township Police Department issued an Endangered Child Alert for Fields Friday night.

Agreed, I got involved with a case involving an airline pilot that used social media to groom and meet up with an underage girl. He posed as a teen/young man. He took her across state lines for their "date". She went willingly but she was underage which made it a sexual offense (as it should be) as well as transportation across state lines for immoral purposes. He was arrested, federal charges. He was released from in home detention to attend religious services (he was from the middle east, not a US citizen but working legally in the US) and jumped bond. His family had a lot of money, and I'm sure got him out of the country privately. He never faced charges. Still infuriates me.

Fields' father, Tyler Hirn, said he discovered that Fields was messaging an 18-year-old man named Josh on an app called "Session" and was supposed to meet up with him.

"Nobody should go through this. It's breaking us down," Hirn said.

"I'm punching in anything and everything to find her. I can't just stop looking," said Carrie Hirn, Fields' mother.

It's day nine of her missing, and we're gathered here just to put more flyers out and try to get her face out there more. As much as we can so somebody will say something," Tyler Hirn said.

Dozens of people responded, meeting at the Kroger parking lot off of North Bend Road.

"We want to hit up as many businesses as we possibly can, right? At this point, we've already kind of searched through Colerain and the Harry Lee area. So, we're going to kind of branch out," said Joseph Selvidge, the father of Fields' boyfriend.

Unfortunately, I am guessing that the man she was texting was a lot older than 18.
