5/16/23 Update: Next hearing on continued commitment on 5/23/23. 5/23/23 Update: Judge John Durkin said Legg was found incompetent to stand trial. Was sent back to the Twin Valley Behavioral Health Center in Columbus. Another evaluative hearing will be held in 2025.
5/20/23 Docket update: JE-Matter came on for mandatory 2 year review of continued commitment/competency of Dept. Court finds defendant remains unable to understand nature & objective of proceedings against him & unable to assist in his defense. Matter will be set for further hearing as required by statue Durkin.

charged & indicted (1/23/19) & arraigned (2/14/19) with 2 counts of rape. Plead not guilty. $1M bond. Medina County
Familial DNA match. Was extradited (Jan. 2018) from Chandler, AZ to Ohio.

11/24/21 Update: Medina County Judge Joyce Kimbler found Legg responsible for two counts of felony rape. However, due to mental illness, Legg is deemed unfit to stand trial, according to court records. Legg will remain committed to a hospital in Columbus for up to 10 years.
7/17/23 Docket updates: Competency hearing journal entry. Cert for Court stenographer's fees. Hearing held. 8/3/23: Warrant for removal returned & filed. 5/13/24 Docket update: Request for Court paid experts and/or expenses. In appeals.

charged (7/30/20) with 2 counts of 1st degree murder. $3M bond. Lake County
Will eventually be extradited to Illinois to face the charges. The warrants were filed on 7/29/20 when the case was opened. They are for Murder/Intent to Kill/Injure & Murder/Strong Prob Kill/Injure.

charged (8/20/20) with 2 counts of aggravated murder, murder, 1st degree rape & 1st degree kidnapping. Wood County
Legg's DNA was linked to her death.

3/1/22 Review hearing on competency. 3/3/22: Order: Judgment Entry: This matter before the court this 1st day of March 2022. Ordered that the defendant remains unable to understand the nature & objective of the legal proceedings against him or to assist in his defense & remains a mentally ill person subject to court order. Legg (21 @ the time) was Angela’s step father. DNA link to 3 homicides in Ohio & 1 in Illinois.
