Canton man shot to death inside Massillon movie theater; suspect in custody

Massillon police said a 27-year-old Canton man was shot to death inside the Massillon Regal movie theater on Friday night. The suspect is in custody.

Police responded to the scene after the shooting was reported around 11 p.m. and found the victim, identified as Daron Davis, near the front lobby, the statement by police said.

Massillon Police Lt. Nicholas Antonides said previously the shooting occurred just before 11 p.m. Friday, May 10, at the Regal Cinemas, located at 175 Cherry Ave.

Officers found 27-year-old Daron Davis, of Canton, dead near the front lobby.

Thomas will be back in court at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, for a pre-trial hearing
