Franklin County deputies are searching for Melanie Lynn Wood, 31, last seen on Dec. 8.

• Per LE, she is likely traveling in a 2017 blue Acura with OH plate HTR8120.
• Possibly traveling with her dog Lea, a mixed Pitbull and Rottweiler.
• Melanie is 5-foot 3-inches, weighs 140 pounds and has brown hair.

Deputies ask anyone with information to call 614-525-3333.

I think the above article is incorrect. The Franklin County Sheriff's poster says she was reported missing on December 8.

The Ohio Attorney General site says she was last seen on December 5:

It's saddening to read this update. I wonder whether Melanie returned home after her disappearance? Her obit lists her date of death as 24 May 2021. My thoughts and prayers go out to her loved ones.

Melanie L. Wood, age 32, of Grove City, Ohio, died Monday, May 24, 2021, in Grove City. She was born April 23, 1989, in Cambridge, daughter of R. R. and C. M. V. W. of Pleasant City. Melanie was a 2007 graduate of Shenandoah High School and a graduate of Zane State University, where she earned a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. She was serving a journeyman apprenticeship with Claypool Electric in Lancaster. Melanie enjoyed birds and cared for her pet doves. She also enjoyed gardening, caring for her plants, and horseback riding.
