Woman reported missing after vehicle found in Lorain

Police in Lorain search for missing woman | wkyc.com

Michelle Opaliski, 46, was last heard from January 16 around 3pm.
She was reported missing on January 18.


Michelle’s 1998 Maroon Ford F-150 truck was found parked in the 4000 block of Shawnee Drive on Monday, January 19.

Police believe it had been there since the evening hours of Saturday the 16th.

Michelle is 5’3” and 138 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes.

Lorain Police are seeking a missing adult whose truck was found abandoned on the south side of the city.

Police said they were told Opaliski has not spoken to family members since 3 p.m. Jan. 16. It is unusual for her not to contact family daily.

Morningcall.com had an article about an arrest where Ms.Opaliski reported she was changing a tire when a man drove up and abducted her 16 year old daughter. Completely fabricated. Charged and fined.

Just praying that whatever that reason was or any problems surrounding it have nothing to do with her missing.

Hope they find her soon. Edit to say that was 2018.

Police received a tip from a member of the public on Jan. 18 that Opaliski’s vehicle was parked on Shawnee Drive in Lorain. Detectives found the vehicle and noticed what appeared to be a large amount of blood.
At that point, police established a person of interest. Four days later, on Jan. 22, detectives found Opaliski dead near an access gate at the Sacred Heart Chapel. The location of her body and the injuries she sustained were determined to be inconsistent with a natural death, the news release states.
