Being 1400'ish miles away, all I can offer are my prayers. Perry's family and friends are also in my thoughts, I honestly cannot even imagine how stressful and scary his being missing is for them.

Thanks for caring and getting involved Tillicum...you have a heart of gold my dear

Ponds, creeks, woods, pasture, flat land and hills. Hubs and I are going back out to look again. There's places it's almost impossible to get to our creek but we're gonna try to get through the briars. At one point I heard what sounded like a kid goat bleeting near the creek and there are no goats around here. We looked up and down the creek but didn't get in it.

Bless your heart! You both stay safe!!!

So glad he has been found! This boy has a most precious face, and beautiful eyes! What a lucky family he has. I always say, "the most difficult children are the biggest blessings". May they all grow old, happily together.

ETA; I want to add, if anyone finds my saying hurtful, I'm sorry. I know that there are many children who must be more of a challenge than I have ever known. But, I do have 7. Now grown and the hardest ones taught me the most about life.

No one who has raised contrary and obstinate children could ever fault you for your thoughts! We recently had a RAD child in our home for 6 months. It'd like to be the death of me (and I've already raised 5!) It's no joke.

[h=1]Missing 11-year-old boy found, Clark County considering charges[/h]
Perry was found roaming in downtown Christiansburg by a member of the Region 3 Rescue Strike Team along with a bystander.

Perry is the son of a Clark County deputy. Officials told 2 NEWS this wasn’t the first time the 11-year-old went missing from his home. Perry ran away disappeared just last month around Memorial Day. In that instance, he was found four hours later several miles from home.

According to authorities, the juvenile and his family could face charges related to his disappearance. Law enforcement did not say what those charges could be, but they have discussed ways to prevent the boy from running off again with the family.

WTF?

It's JMO but I think the charges will help the family to take advantage of available resources to help with Perry's care that wouldn't be available without the charges.

I was thinking perhaps his dad pushed for the charges, but it does seem like an unusual approach, IMO. I hope you are right and this kid can get some help.
