Great post!

I thought Canepa's opening said that George's shoe prints were showing outside Little Chris's bedroom and Jake will testify that George was stationed there to make sure Little Chris's didn't wake up and leave his room during DR and HR murders.

I do remember Angela starting that George said he missed wiping one of his prints.

???? Shoe prints prove nothing. Big fail. After all.

If George is guilty I hope he rots in prison. If he’s innocent I hope it is apparent and the jury finds accordingly.

IIRC, at Dana's, wasn't there a print just inside the front door, and also one somewhere close to Chris Jr.'s room/door where it's been alleged that GW stood?

TIA.

JMO.
A print right inside the door. George? Or Jake. Since Jake may have been the only one inside Dans’s

Hate to see Courtney leave WCPO before the trial ends, she's been a big help. @arielilane

Just a heads up, followers… I won’t be live tweeting the Pike Co. Massacre next week because I have taken a new position reporting for Atlanta’s WSB-TV. I look forward to sharing more reports with you as soon as I get settled in there! ❤️

I believe it was Jake's. Haven't been able to find confirmation just yet. Still sorting through tweets & articles.

Only footprints at Dana’s were inside the front door. Lifted off entryway. Carried in from rain outside. No bloody footprints since all were killed in bed. No blood from the scene. Outside Chris Jr bedroom? Nope. Red herring.

I don’t think we know who was wearing the size 10.5 or 11 Walmart shoes. No proof that it was George.

The front entry is outside Little Chris's bedroom. Walking in front door, door to the right is his bedroom, to the left is the living room, straight ahead is a bathroom. Standing on that linoleum he was right where Jake said he stood in the proffer.

I didn't think the blood would have been from that location, I thought perhaps they had some dried blood on their shoes that got wet and showed in the entryway.

I'm talking about Jake or Angela's testimony about which pair was George's. Although he may not really remember if it didn't matter to them who wore which pair.

I'm not following your point here. To you they prove nothing? Because for me it's a huge smoking gun. Angela has a receipt for the exact shoes in the exact sizes that made prints inside 2 of the murder locations. I don't believe it's a coincidence. Especially since Jake admitted they wore them while committing the crime.

Jake testified that he entered through a window and then let George (or Billy??) in through the front door. No proof George was wearing the shoes that made the prints

No proof. Expert witness could not tie George to the shoes.

Don’t get me wrong, I think there are things connecting George to the murders. Not the shoes, though.

I believe @silenced is saying since there is no direct evidence placing George in the shoes, then George was not in the shoes.

There is, however circumstantial evidence and witness testimony x 2 (Jake and Angela) that indicates (to me) George was indeed wearing the shoes. But that's just my opinion. The beauty of Websleuths. We all have opinions, we can all state our opinions and we don't have to agree.

The proof is in AW's testimony (she brought the shoes, the sizes for her two sons) and in JW's testimony (he was with GWIV that night and saw him wearing those same shoes AW had purchased for himself and his brother).

As much as the prosecution wants the shoes to be proof, they just aren’t. And the prosecution put a big part of their case on the shoes.

I will say that's inaccurate because two witness's testimony and proof of purchase is not being evaluated into the mix at all. Evidence can't be cherry picked, it must be view as a whole. Somethings give other things relevant context. AJMO

You are correct. This is by design though. Watch and pay attention to sentence syntaxes. webslueths allows for open discussion but using multiple logins via VPN is a challenge
