On all 22 charges? It will take them longer than that to fill out the paperwork! MOO
Lol I was just gonna say. I agree the verdict will be quick, otherwise hung jury.

I think Parker did a good job. Wilson was too loud and I felt was yelling at the jury, plus seemed hyped up on caffeine. In my opinion.

I don't remember JW testifying to that. I could be wrong of course.
You know, you're right. It's been talked about since the trial but I only heard ten minutes of JW's testimony. How he killed DR, HMR, and little CR2. If you want to hear a psychopath, I fully believe that he is one, but a low functioning one. I do not believe that anyone else was in that house, at DR's, but for him. He was so into telling his story of how it happened, and it was ALL I, I, I, I. He drove CR2's truck to DR's, and the others waited outside. That was his size 11 shoeprint. JM2

You know, if only for the W children, if they all go to prison, and they are out of their lives, it will be justice. G4 has his parents' upbringing drilled into him, he was basically a child reared in abuse, as was JW, but their raising is so ingrained, I don't feel they should ever be in their children's lives, unless the children decide to see THEM, at some point, years in the future. I feel G4 aligns more with his father and JW with his mother. G4 is taking it to trial and JW is a big rat, just like G4 said he was. AW, and JW, the ones who I feel started this, turned tail facing death, G3 and G4, will not rat. G4 never even ratted out JW on the stand. Just said if anyone is convicted of such a crime, they should get the DP. AC lifts DP making it easier on jury.
Well put!

I thought it was just me. I did have to turn my headphones down for him. I felt he was being passionate, but, around here, passionate can be mistaken for being yelled at, so I did have a bit of worry about that part, but these folks sat through four hours of Angela Canepa so, I figure he was at least a welcome break from the monotony.

I see both Billy and Angela in George. I think he is manipulative just like his mother. Look at Jake trying to be the voice of reason when talking to his mother. He was trying to defense Beth. I wonder how many times he tried to defense Hannah? Not saying he is a good person at all, but people do get wore down. How much did he really believe vs finally just gave in to his mother saying xyz and said okay fine. George seems to like to start crap just like his mother does. He is fueling all the fires about Beth. He is going to raise Sophia himself if he has to. Who is all wired up about BCI following them and how he outsmarted that car and figured it all out. Who is all proud they didn't get stopped at the border. I think George is a lot like Angela. I think he also is a lot like Billy and that just might be why Billy and him clashed and fought so much.

Did Judge Deering pop an Adderall at lunch? He is really rolling through the instructions!

I don't believe they'll get the case today; unless they just cover electing foreperson. Otherwise, they'll start fresh tomorrow. IMO

I would love to be in that jury room to watch how they deliberate.

Yes, is the judge going to read 150 pages? He's going to need a pick me up.

JW kept it in mind that everything was bugged though. Remember G3's first interview in the car? Loud. Louder, and very Loud. This was a loud family. JW just kept it in mind he was being recorded.

"Parker asks jury if they believe George was there, that they remember he had no intent to kill and that he only went along to protect Jake from his father."

IMO, quick deliberations
I fell over when Parker said that. Wowza!

I'm really surprised the defense wrap up was so feeble. I thought surely they would come on strong, take up a lot of time, make up some more stories.

ETA: Judge Deering telling jurors they can consider "Other Acts" evidence. Glad AC introduced those items. They do fit closely with the events that followed - the enmeshed family, AW's obsession with control of grandchildren, making them call her "mother", etc.

I'm hoping one or more will speak publicly after their verdict. I'm sure both sides' attorney's learn a lot from those interviews moving forward.

George didn't. He did not think his family was guilty, he was not guilty, figured there was no chance LE could prove something they did not do. From George's perspective, that is.

He said he'll incorporate when feasible, otherwise, yes.

ETA - sorry for going back to the beginning, I'm just getting home and catching up

He is so strange, why is he trying to get the jury to make sense of of this crazy family? How do you say Angela is crazy and Jake is crazy and they're both liars - does he really think that the jury won't take another step and say so is George?!?!

Also - people kill over custody ALL THE TIME! Maybe not 8 people but they certainly do
Yes, they do. They even go to the lengths of killing their own children so the other parent can't have them. Thank goodness this wasn't the case here. I think they feared that b/c of the way they arrested the four of them. Very quick and easy take downs.
