Watching Vinnie Politan's Court TV coverage on it now and the guests are cracking me up! Calling AW Ma Barker. :D
Hilarious! That's the best comparison ever!

Just going by what I saw today. He said, while making motions with his body, CR was hit in the arm, whipped around (talked about blood spatter) bent over and was hit in the face with splinters, then took rounds in the top of his head. He mentioned a shot through the heart (and I believe he meant while standing) . Some shots were after he was on the floor.

I'm done reciting and fetching timestamps. If you anyone thinks I'm lying, go watch today's video and see if you still think so.

Y'all tell it the way you want. It's in the hands of the jury now.
Col, It's been a pleasure to be with you on this site as I was on the site 'that shall not be named' in 2016 shortly after the murder happened. Then as now, the attention and common sense that comes through in your posts is refreshing. All the best to you~~

Good morning from the Pike Co. Courthouse where deliberations will begin momentarily in OH v. #GeorgeWagnerIV. Jurors heard closings and jury instructions yesterday.

Jurors in OH v. #GeorgeWagnerIV have been deliberating for about an hour - give or take - and have asked to see exhibits. Prosecutors met with Judge Deering in chambers to discuss which exhibits jurors want to see. We saw a big box of photos brought down.

We now have a third question from the jurors. Not sure what #2 and #3 were. Will try to get more info. OH v. #GeorgeWagnerIV

A box of evidence just taken into the deliberation room

Edit: added tweets

The jury finally gets its chance to decide Wagner’s fate after more than 10 weeks of testimony – making it one of the longest criminal trials in Ohio history.

Hey if AC didn’t play the interview at the Border tape because George acted like he was innocent then why didn’t Parker play it????
Like so many other cases, all the info isn’t released. I mean I understand that might be necessary… to a point. Hopefully everything will be divulged
I think we all have the capability to have MH issues. I think the isolation just aggravated it. They lived in an echo chamber.
I like the way you stated it: “They lived in an echo chamber” is the perfect metaphor. They fed off each other’s “concerns” (some might say “paranoia”) with no input from third parties. Didn’t I read somewhere that one (or both?) of the sons attended public school for a grand total of one month?! Idk about you all, but i went to school for 12 years + kindergarten + three years of college. I’m not saying I travelled the world as a U.N. ambassador or whatever, but i believe most people had an upbringing more like mine than like the Wagners. Their view of the world became increasingly isolated & warped.

AC IMO did not do a great job, AW was a better attorney, this case pre trial was considered a slam dunk, it is not now IMO

I could never convict GW of any of thew murder charges, under any theory or complicit or conspiracy, but sorry for repeating myself I think he will be convicted

the jurors (even though this should not be a consideration) know the weight of expectation on them, they are local, they know the magnitude of the crimes and the length and cost of trial, to not convict him would take a very strong person, to stand up and say I do not think the state met its burden,

they know the whole county, state and country want a Guilty verdict, and sometimes justice gets lost in the extraneous elements of a crime and a trial, and the jury can easily convict GW by stating his mum and brother say he did it, when they too may think the state did not reach its burden and they may have lingering doubts,
Totally Agree

All this discussion reminds me of a theory that trauma is passed down through the generations. Do you folks think that is true??
I’m not talking exclusively about the “If your dad beat your mom & you were around to see it, you’re likely to beat up your own wife when you’re an adult” kind of trauma. I also mean trauma left unspoken. Trauma that an older family member experienced but never (or rarely) discussed. What do you think?

Finally listened to special prosecutor Andrew Wilson's rebuttal in the George Wagner IV murder trial. (I missed most of while flying back to #pikecounty yesterday.)

Wilson likened the jury's deliberations, which begin this morning at 8:30 a.m. ET, to building a puzzle with the evidence the state provided to them during the last three months, saying prosecutors did not have to provide them every puzzle piece, that's not their burden.

But, he said, as they put the evidence puzzle together and image will emerge. "Over the last couple months, we have given you the evidence you need to go back and find this defendant guilty.

Pike County Judge Randy Deering spent more than four hours yesterday afternoon instructing the jury on Ohio law regarding the 22 counts facing Wagner IV. He ended: "This case is yours to decide at this point."

And with that, Ohio's most complex and costly murder investigation and trial is in the hands of nine women and three men, all of whom are Pike County residents.

Okay, maybeeeee not a biker's vest!

Maybe just a vest for a slick, rich and entitled country boy?

Or maybe was that part of Parker's angle, trying to prove G4 was different from his family?

JMO
I think that was his standard, fancy go-to meetin' fare. ;) Rarely worn, in great condition! They have all kinds of faiths in prison. If convicted, I'm sure he'll find one that suits him. Maybe Preacher Jake can recommend one since he's got himself some jailhouse religion.

I only found out after my dad passed that he was treated horribly by a vicious psychopath. His mother.
NEVER did I hear him say even one word bad about her. When I heard half of the abuse he endured I cried.
He never spoke of her. Only once, when he had dementia and cried on Christmas eve that his mother never wanted him. Why that came out of his mouth after all those years, I don't know. He was 85 at that time.

PIKE COUNTY TRIAL: The jury in the #GeorgeWagnerIV trial has started deliberations. We're told the jury is waiting on/getting exhibits first.

George Wagner walks into court this morning - hurry up & wait to learn what a jury of 9 women + 3 men decide about his involvement in the Pike Co. massacre of 2016. The esteemed @ldufour behind the lens.

PIKE COUNTY TRIAL: Jury has asked another question - attorneys and Judge Deering are NOT going on the record for them. Will work on figuring out what they're asking - but it all seems like it's evidence-related.

For sure this kind of trauma exists, I’ve been thinking a lot about this too with this case. Wondering where and why all the paranoia came from in this family.

Also, there’s been scientific research in the field of epigenetics showing how trauma can affect DNA generationally. Here’s an article about it from BBC where they look at the children and grandchildren of POWs. I’m not sure if they talk about it in this article but there’s been studies with mice where they study over generations and the newer generations react to the traumas of their ancestors. It’s super fascinating and makes a lot of sense to me.

Yup.

That reminds me of Fred saying she saw "Jake and Hanna as married." The Wagner's thought they would marry and that she belonged to them. The ring tattoos and wedding plans would seal the deal.

They probably went into a state of shock when she called off the wedding. Jake and Angela wouldn't give up though. Jake kept living with her after she started dating others, it took some time for Hanna to get him out of her house apparently.

Even being pregnant with another man's baby and getting serious with CH didn't stop Jake and Angela from buying the baby a crib and wanting Jake's name put on the new baby's birth certificate.

Jake complained and whined constantly about how he and Hanna were so good for each other, should be together, according to Chris Jr's friend from the I heart podcast. She mentioned the crib also.
Whoa! This is the first time I’m hearing about Jake wanting to be on Kylie’s birth certificate & that Jake &’Angela bought Kylie a crib! (I tuned in the during the last week of the trial)
I’m sure Angela & Jake were using the excuse that the Rhodens were their good friends & whatnot, but it sounds to me that Angela was prepping for another little girl coming to live with & be brought up the Wagner home & call her “Mommy.”
