CLOSING ARGUMENTS: Parker says it is "significant" that Jake's proffer led them to the murder weapons. "They never would have found them - but that’s his conduct. He verified his conduct.”

Not sure what "conduct" means. Jake led them to the murder weapons because it was part of his plea agreement. JMO, Jake wanted to end it, get it off his chest.

CLOSING ARGUMENTS: Parker is poking holes in Jake's testimony about what happened inside Dana's house. He said he shot Hanna May in the forehead, but she was hit in back of head. "He was standing right beside her ... he's a liar and an executioner."

I don't recall Jake saying that, ICBW. I'm not sure what difference it makes. She was shot multiple times. It was dark.

Red herrings! Grasping for straws. Look here not there. Totality of evidence, even circumstantial, is overwhelming

I think Nash gave him a talking to, or slipped him a valium. He sounds much calmer...still tapping though.

Interesting that so many thought AC’s closing remarks were done badly but it sounds to me like Parker is copying her…
They sound like equals in their closing arguments. my opinion.

I thought AC did a stellar job

I'd say plenty of murders have occurred over custody. The family losing control of what they feel like was protecting Sophia. It isn't just as simple as X got custody so we have to kill Y. They wanted control of S, they were losing control of S and that meant she would be in danger and they had to stop this. I think as they learned more (like Hannah moving in with Corey, they were preparing a house and having a baby) they realized the court system would favor the mother especially if there was a stable home, a family unit, etc. Jake would be working all week driving truck away from home and leaving his daughter with his mother vs Hannah being there daily/at night and having a stable home. Court would likely have given custody to her.

He sounds aloof. Desperate

Starting second thread for Wagner murder trial. Defense almost done with defense closings - then Andy Wilson will handle final rebuttal for prosecution.

Parker: Few final points. Angela testified Billy told her to buy two pairs of shoes. It was Billy and Jake who planned it. Pointing out inconsistencies in Jake and Angela's testimony

Parker says state has introduced "distractions" - is it possible Jake wore two left shoes? George got nothing for his testimony - compare that to George and Angela.

Says guys in Alaska would hire him now even with everything going on. That's got to count for something

Compare these guns and gun culture like a $20 or $50 bill - they used them like currency.

CLOSING ARGUMENTS: Parker is back to finish closings after short break. He says Angela testimony was that "Billy told her to buy two pairs of shoes - it was Billy and Jake that planned this.”

CLOSING ARGUMENTS: Parker tells the jury "there's a lot of insinuations in this case the state has made, look for the hard evidence.”

CLOSING ARGUMENTS: Parker tells the jury to consider defense witnesses - the pastor from AK who said Jake was a little slower than George. "That describes a person who could be pressured. George stood up to his mother and father.”

CLOSING ARGUMENTS: Parker says "there's been a lot of talk about guns." He says George is "a gun guy." He trades a lot - almost like currency.

CLOSING ARGUMENTS: Parker asks jury "you saw George’s demeanor, compare that to Jake’s and Angela’s. His mother wouldn’t even look at him ... And Jake was laughing and smiling and smirking while talking about murders. You’re going to trust those people?"

CLOSING ARGUMENTS: Parker - "I don’t know what you folks are going to believe ... but if you believe that George was up there, don’t forget that Jake said he had no intent to kill, he went along at the last second."

CLOSING ARGUMENTS: Parker ends saying he knows he's going to wish he said something else. "I could go on forever about this case, there are a million things to talk about …. Look at the evidence, take time to understand it, look at it from George's point of view.”

Andrew Wilson doing rebuttal for prosecution. This will get jury's attention! I believe he will help win this trial for the State.

Sit down chode, parker. You are squandering
I could say something similar about Ms. AC but I'll refrain b/c I have more couth than to call her that. I honestly don't see how she can stomach prosecuting a case.
