Were it not for the interference, the trial would probably be underway by now, or close to it.

At least the killers have reduced sentences now and Jake was given the opportunity to engage in an enraged shouting match in court with the mother of one of his victims. Nothing but silence from the Governor’s mansion and the Attorney General’s office.

Yes I am still on here after all these years, when I can stomach it. I am still in shock Jake could get parole as an old man and that the DP was removed which gives Jack and Angela "permission" to not testify against Billy. The DP is what got them to testify against George.

I am not clear on your feelings of Billy's involvement. Like do you see him in the same light as you see George?
If guilty, why only 20 years? He would walk out of prison in only 13 1/2 years.

I see George as not being involved and trying to talk them out of it but being too big of a coward or too afraid for him or his son to tell Reader their plans.

Billy I see as 100% involved and actually killing Chris and Gary. But Billy was not the mastermind. Angie was. So I see Billy as more of manipulated by Angie and jealousy of his best friend Chris's success so a crime of passion. I would be fine with Billy getting LWOP or the DP though.

I think George was the only one who got an unfair shake and Angie as getting too fair of a shake. Her and Georges sentences should be switched.

Wagner had been incarcerated at Toledo Correction Institution since mid-February, following sentencing Jan. 3 in Pike County. He'd admitted his guilt in the shooting deaths in 2021 and was sentenced to 32 years to life, with chance of parole in 2050. 2/5

Wagner's older brother, #GeorgeWagnerIV, is likewise serving time out of state after being convicted in 2022 in the case. He was moved to a Rhode Island prison in May 2023, also for security reasons. Ohio & Rhode Island officials are not disclosing his current location. 3/5

The brother's father, #BillyWagner, has been held in the Pickaway County jail in Circleville since last September, awaiting trial on the same charges his sons faced. His case has been stalled by various court challenges. He'll be back in Pike County April 25 for a hearing. 4/5

The brother's mother, #AngelaWagner, was also sentenced Jan. 3 for her role in the crimes and sent to the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville. 5/5

Is someone trying to make sure Jake will be out of state to discourage asking if he will testify against Billy? Why is Ohio paying to house prisoners in other states, especially when the public school system funding is almost in crisis mode? The state is refusing to fund public schools, but they're ok with sending prisoners out of state and paying $600 million for a sports stadium for a billionaire team owner.

Every state does it. There are prisoners from all over the USA housed here because we have room for them. Same with some other states. Plus you have the issue of Jake having relatives close in Ohio that may not be able to travel to WI. Remember that plan to break them all out? They should send him to HI or AK.

I do not think all defendants are present for the appeals arguments, but I am not sure of that.

For some ungodly reason, the judge allowed Jake to give a response to her in the court room. He became very aggressive and preachy, allowed to look directly at her across the courtroom where she was seated.

Near the end of his spiel, he's very agitated and unhinged and you get to see the real Jake. It was likely the same Jake who committed those murders that night. Very disturbing. He hasn't changed, JMO. He's only sorry he was caught.

I am speechless. Never in my life have I ever seen that much evil concentrated in one person. They should throw him out in the middle of the victims' families and let them show him what repentance really looks like. Preaching to the people who have suffered horribly from him killing their family in cold blood telling them they have to forgive him? Now we get to see how one evil manipulative person could persuade his family to commit an unspeakable crime. Bad thing is I think he learned this at his mother's knee and if we ever hear from her, it will be even worse. There should be a special level in Hell for those two. Freaking psychopath.

I feel so filthy after listening to him, I'm going to take a hot shower and see if I can scrub that evil from my body and mind.

Now we get to see how one evil manipulative person could persuade his family to commit an unspeakable crime.

Exactly that. I think the judge had some misguided notion that he was doing Jake some well-deserved favor by letting him go off on that rant, but he may have done more harm than good. Now no parole board in their right mind would grant him parole after seeing how deceptively he lies about contrition.
