WAGNER, ANGELA JO
09/30/2019 JOURNAL ENTRY -- Large amount of Journal Entries entered on 9/30 :
Some posters were wondering if GW4 had less evidence against him--less "skin" in the game--due to the prosecution offering to "narrow down" his discovery. No, it applies to Angela too:
- ... due to the large amount of material provided through discovery, counsel for the State of Ohio is willing to direct the attention of the Defendant's attorneys to specific portions of the discovery to be examined.
Some technical difficulties:
The Defendant's attorneys are having technical difficulties in accessing, or "opening," some of the digital material provided by the State of Ohio as discovery. Counsel for the State of Ohio and counsel for the Defendant indicated to the Court that they will continue to work to resolve these technical difficulties.
Here is (probably) the reason Angela's mail privileges were suspended--she and Rita wrote back and forth--Angie wouldn't limit herself to just phone calls:
The State of Ohio filed a "Motion to Suspend Privileges," ..the Court finds that the Defendant has violated the order of this Court by engaging in several telephone conversations with Rita Jo Newcomb and by exchanging written correspondence with Rita Jo Newcomb.
Aside from Rita, Jake, Billy and GW4, Angela can't discus her case with:
The Court grants Defendant's Motion No. 17, and all corrections officers, prosecutors, law enforcement officers, social workers and psychiatric personnel, corrections officers, police and sheriff's department employees, all county jail personnel, and any inmates cooperating with the prosecution of this matter, shall refrain from initiating conversations with the Defendant relating in any way to the pending charges, or to Defendant's
character, history and background, without the presence of defense counsel.
Finally! Angie's Motion to wear civilian clothes is granted. One small part was not:
- Defendant's Motion No. 18 requests that the Defendant be permitted to appear without any restraints at all, even those that are not visible outside the Defendant's clothing, the motion is denied.
Judge Deering said in court that she can keep her clothes at the Courthouse.
