DS had stated, on video, that he and KR had plans that day to work on cars early, with KR taking off work and DS spending the night before. Except DS did not show up to spend the night, according to what he said in an interview.

All we have are the recorded statements.

edit: It just looks like KR and DS had plans for that morning, but there was no need to notify the entire family.

Where was it said that KR was to take off work that morning?

Some things to think about. My opinion only.

The Innocence Project is a nonprofit team of attorneys and law students that re-examines questionable murder convictions with the hope of using DNA evidence to overturn the sentences of defendents who've been wrongfully imprisoned. In the first 130 cases the Innocence Project overturned, eyewitness testimony played a part in 78 percent of those wrongful convictions [source: Stambor].
Why are eyewitnesses unreliable?

And:
Eyewitness talk
Many factors such as memory decay, poor eyesight and induced stress have already been shown to have an influence in false testimony. But these factors can only explain a small percentage of false eyewitness statements. There is another factor known as “eyewitnesses talk” which comes into play. This is where witnesses discuss what they saw with each other after the event and then change their mind about what they thought they saw based on the evidence of another witness.

Witnesses talking after an event is a pretty common phenomenon, a survey found that 86% of real eyewitnesses claim to have discussed the event with other witnesses prior to giving evidence. And this is where the process of “co-witness conformity” occurs – in other words eyewitnesses are influenced into including things they didn’t actually see in their statements.

But while previous research has proved that such processes can occur, very little is known about why some people are more likely to do this, or what influences people to change their statements in the first place.
New research reveals how little we can trust eyewitnesses
My eye witness comments were about where the Rhoden witnesses found the victims. Frankie and HG were in bed, Kenny was in his bunk bed, DS had to look up to see him.

Eye witnesses put them in bed yet people will say Frankie and HG were shot elsewhere and dragged back in bed, or Kenneth opened the door for the killer then crawled back in bed then was shot. I just don't buy it. Just my opinion.

If Kenneth had opened the door DS would have found him laying on the floor, not his bunk. Killer isn't going to patiently wait for him to go back to bed. They did this quickly, coldly, calmly and carefully, but not carefully enough, they left traces.

At this time, those are the facts as presented by LE to the public.

The preliminary autopsy report states all the victims except one were killed in their sleep. So, if they thought KR was killed in his sleep, it means when they found his body, he was lying in his bed as if asleep. Not lying in a position that indicated he sat up in bed or got out of bed.

Rhoden family massacre: Autopsy reports indicate one victim was awake when fatally shot

"It now appears that 40-year-old Christopher Rhoden Sr., the family patriarch, was among the first killed. The reports indicate he was awake when he was confronted by at least one person with a gun. Among the nine gunshot wounds he suffered was an apparent defensive wound to his right forearm that shattered bone. Also, at least one bullet went through a door before hitting him, according to the reports.

Authorities had previously said the family members – who were found in three trailers on the same rural property as well as a camper several miles away – were killed in their sleep the early morning of April 22, 2016."

I wonder if there was a little commotion outside (that got his attention to come to the door) or maybe somebody was messing with the door to get in. Shot thru the door and defensive wound were maybe first shots to incapacitate.

Thankx for your clear voice of reason. Well put...

Wondering who, or what post, your anger and shouting is directed toward?
Sometimes my emotions get the best of me.

My anger is directed at the killers taking 8 happy healthy lives for no reason.
Shouting?
Yes! if I could see one of them face to face I would shout and get kicked out of jail visitation.

I have only respect for people who have spent almost 4 years posting on this site because they are patiently waiting for justice and are trying to understand as much as possible about the court system/proceedings, what really happened that night, and who the Wagners really are, or were.

Ok, understood.

The all caps in bold is why I asked about shouting, the "Grrr" is why I mentioned anger. It didn't read as directed toward the murderers. Was just trying to understand.

"EYE WITNESS ACCOUNT BELIEVE IT OR NOT......DON'T CHANGE THE NARRATIVE...Grrr....."

I am not sure that Kenny would have had the door to the camper locked from the inside.
No reason to do that. The real danger in a camper is fire, not armed robbery. A prudent person would not lock himself in a camper. Do you lock yourself in your camper while out in the woods?

I get emotional about the case sometimes, nothing personal towards any posters. I have some strong opinions sometimes but want to make sure I show respect for opinions that are the opposite of mine. That can sometimes be hard to do but it is important that nobody feels criticized for their point of view, and that posters feel that they can write their posts or emphasize a word or sentence in their posts how they want.

I'm happy to discuss the case with anyone who disagrees with my point of view, we can have respectful differing ideas on the case, not a problem. I like how we learn different things from each other. I have gotten information I would never know about if I wasn't reading this thread.

Locking a door can buy some time if someone tries to get in. Hopefully one would hear and be able to take action. I would lock the camper door from inside, but not with any sort of padlock that takes more time to open.

Locks are only to keep honest people out anyway. Shed at the farm was broken into yesterday, lock and hasp nowhere to be found.

Looks like AW has a hearing next Tuesday (25th) at 1:30.

Also, a Feb 10 journal entry has been added to all 4 court records, State has filed a response to hire a "Discovery Coordinator ATTORNEY."

She has always worn jail clothes and at her last hearing Judge Deering made it clear she can wear street clothes. Interesting to see if she does. She could have worn street clothes to her last hearing but for some reason didn't.

From Angela's December 11th, 2019 court hearing
Judge Deering:

"I'm not sure whether a motion has been filed in this regard or not. I'm sure that it was granted but also note that she's not appearing in civilian clothing. I want to make it clear that the court has granted that motion in other cases and if that's the desire of the defense then the court will grant that in this case too - that she can appear in civilian clothing."

Jmo I agree, why would he lock the door. Not that uncommon in the area to leave doors to house unlocked. Lock up barns and sheds but camper with a vicious dog and a man with loaded gun inside I don’t believe so. It was a camper he wouldn’t expect to be broke into. He would be more fearful for his shed to be broke into Jmo

Good I hope next Tuesday we will find out how the prosecution feels about it. Deering was concerned with the $80,000 + price tag.

Yes, the clothing continues to be a mystery. Glad Judge Deering made it clear that it's not the court's fault!

Yes, it's not the court's fault at all. Strange, to me, that the defense had zero response when Deering brought up the clothes issue. He said if it's the defense's desire she can wear civilian clothes but the defense didn't say it was her desire or say anything. But I will bet she's out of jail garb next Tuesday, if not then it would be a defense tactic or Angela being stubborn and angry.....2 Cents.....

She looks unkept.
