The same year he was indicted (November 2001)
Billy Wagner filed for bankruptcy. His wife is also named in the filing made in federal court in the Southern District of Ohio.

Their assets were listed at about $2,500, and their liabilities at about $10,000, including almost $2,500 owed to Sears for clothing, $500 in medical bills and $325 in unpaid utility bills.

Their only monthly income listed was $530 in Social Security payments and $389 in food stamps.

Well it looks weird. It wasn't until 3 months after the murders that she says due to family matters she has to sell her stock.

This whole thing looks hinky.

But, I think it would have looked much weirder/suspicious if she had started her "fire sale" the week after the murders.

AW clearly started painting the scene of the perfect family and farm several months before the murders and then suddenly did an about face several months after the murders. I think it was also about the same time they put the Peterson property on the market.

I'm still not clear on the chain of ownership of the Peterson property. It appears someone "sold" the property to Jake and George for $1 in early 2014. Why would anyone essentially give this land to Jake and George?

July of 2015, the boys took out a $75,000 mortgage/line of credit against the title on the property.

They "sold" the property for approx. $165,000 March of 2017.

The property was then "sold" again in 2018(estimated date).

I think I looked up all of this information when I googled "adams county mortgages". It's under USLandrecords website.

I'll just start with, was it really an arm's length transaction when Jake and George purchased it? Why would anyone sell 71 acres with a house for next to nothing to Jake and George?

AW posts her 'awesome' flower garden photos (19 days after DR was murdered) and received zero recognition from anyone.

DR had a lot of friends and family and AW has no one even willing to sit on her side of the courtroom.

Try searching "Adams County Ohio mortgages" if that doesn't work, try searching through USLandrecords. If that doesn't work, I'll try to look into it tomorrow.

Slightly O/T, but this case is a perfect example. Anyone seen any paperwork on that silencer(s)? Suppressors are LEGAL provided you fill out a ton of paperwork, get fingerprinted, let the FBI examine your entire life, and then pay $200 for a "tax stamp". After you do all this, you wait 6 months to a year, and the gov will get back to you. If you pass their obstacle course, you can go buy a silencer from a licensed gun shop for about $500+, and its all legal. They are rather useful if your hearing is ruined from 9 years of artillery like mine is. They are also not hard to get as long as you're a responsible law abiding citizen, they are just more expensive than the gun usually. (they are still loud too, just not LOUD)

The point I am trying to make is that no law would have stopped this. Even if there were no weapons, the W's would have carried this out with their bare hands. This is a people problem. Can you imagine the emotional energy they spent just planning this? That takes some real hate, and quite a bit of discipline, to carry something of this magnitude out. And then to shoot someone in bed next to kids? They would have done this if sticks and rocks was all they had... Murder is already illegal anyway.

You are correct. Their mind was made up that this had to happen. The thought process that concluded that this was the solution and going through with it is very difficult to comprehend. Apparently none of the four thought it was too extreme and said no, this is not right. It is possible someone was afraid to speak up against their family. I hope we get to find out some of the reasoning they uses...

Thankx. He seems very healthy to me and was working for FWF apparently. Usually you get reevaluated to see if you can work at something, I thought, guess it's complicated.

All disabilities do not look the same and we don't know anything about his disability. We do know that he's competent to stand trial so that means he can understand what is going on with the charges and court hearings against him, but we know little else of his mental capacity. Nearly everyone, by the time they reach seventh grade, actually before that, knows it is wrong to murder people, so I don't see the disability, whatever it is, moving a jury to free him or give him a lesser sentence based on that.

I think they did. It's possible it was the little church on FW's property. Idr off hand. AW did the stained glass window for the church at the church on FWF. I don't think she had friends that she went out with and such though. I may be wrong but it didn't seem so.

Jail = ZERO SSI he gets zilch now.

The best we have heard from his attorney is he couldn't be the mastermind, as he is accused of being by LE, because he only has a 7th grade education. His lawyer didn't say, for all the world to hear, that he is not bright enough to plot and plan to stalk and kill 8 people, just that he is not educated enough to be the mastermind.
