It’s the same here in South Carolina. You only need to register a gun if you plan to use it as your concealed carry (for which a license is obviously required).I'm not sure about the state you live in, but in Oklahoma gun shows, flea market and Armslist do not require a back ground check. I have bought and sold several guns at all three. We are not criminals or any thing underground, my husband enjoyed buying and selling firearms. You also do not need a license to buy or sell your personal collection in Oklahoma.
My dad was a teacher and loaned the custodian at his school some money one day. The guy hadn’t been able to pay him back, so he offered my dad a revolver on the day that he retired and he accepted. I couldn’t believe my dad would take possession of a gun from a man that he barely knew. I said, “What if he killed someone with that gun!” My dad just shrugged and was like it doesn’t matter because I don’t have to register it.
