I looked a while back and from what I could tell it has been about a year or more since they filed any new motion. Kind of reminiscent of AW. Maybe waiting to see what happens with G4 trial.

Another topic, I did post the court room decorum rules a few weeks ago and I am worried how many witnesses may ask not to be on video or audio. I could see some critical witnesses possibly opting out, which would make the trial hard to follow, for me at least. Hopefully if they do not want to be on camera at least they will not opt ouf of audio.

The only item I find is from the 2/1/22 hearing about future dates.

Counsel for the Defendant suggested that Daubert hearings on Defendant's Motions Nos. 42 and 43 could be scheduled in coordination with similar hearings that may be scheduled in the case of co-defendant, George Washington Wagner IV, and further suggested a separate motion hearing on other Defendant's motions, be scheduled no later than August 31, 2022, and that a jury trial be scheduled to commence no later than October 31, 2022. Defendant's counsel further indicated that there was work to be done by the defense concerning mitigation, and that the defense would need until approximately August 31, 2022, in order to prepare for hearing on some of the Defendant's motions and until approximately October 31, 2022, in order to prepare for trial.

I was hoping that there may be some tweets during voir dire, but it is not clear to me in the court decorum document if the reporters can petition to bring in their phones or any other device they can tweet from. Sometimes those twitter feeds are really good and one does not need a twitter account to read them.

Yeah probably not. I have seen hearings where reporters have live tweeted before, in other cases while they were in court. I think one reporter live tweeted once or twice during a G4 hearing but the court decorum may not have been the same for that as it is now, and they were hearings.

Prosecutors pointed to votes taken by the family as another example of its solidarity. Canepa said the family members took a vote on the murders themselves. She said mom Angela Wagner told investigators about it when she pleaded guilty to conspiracy, evidence tampering, burglary and other charges last year.

"She speaks vividly of recalling speaking to Jake and George and asking if they were sure they wanted to go through with this, to which they both said 'yes,'" Canepa said.

"This is very much a family affair," said special prosecutor Angela Canepa. "All for one and one for all."

Canepa said the Wagner patriarch, Billy, set up a fake "lucrative" drug deal meeting with Christopher Rhoden Sr. at his Union Hill Road property, but it was an ambush.

"Chris Sr. expected to see Billy Wagner that night," Canepa said. "He did not know Jake and George were present, because they were hidden in the car."

Which Canepa said was another sign of conspiracy within the family.

My commentary:

George says he tried to talk his family out of it but his mother says he voted for it.

George says he went at the last minute to protect Jake from Billy but there is a post somewhere on here that says he helped get and or modify the vehicle they bought to use that night which to me shows he was planning to go all along.

Tried to talk family out of it = lie.

Only went at the last minute = lie.

The jury will see right through him. His defense is based on his lies in my opinion.

And why 3 guns if he didn't plan to shoot anyone? Because I believe he did plan to use his gun.

The prosecution said they caught Jake in lies in his proffer, or contradictions as they put it. Then they said that just because Jake's proffer says George didn't shoot anyone doesn't mean he didn't. Canepa said there is a difference.

Shoot or not shoot, because he was there, and bloody shoe prints even place him inside, I believe he will be convicted of the 8 murders. Had he stayed home it would be a different story.
