"Big Money Mike"

Brought up by the defense in cross-exam of LR. LR had heard of the name but did not know him.

First time hearing that name for me. Locals, how about you?

Defense seems confused about the value of commercial marijuana. I think that's where Mexico may come in for the defense. For the moment, it looks to me like the defense considers any marijuana grown for sale as commercial. Commercial is low grade and is prevalent from south of the border.
Never heard of him.

Isn't that a bit insulting to the citizens of Pike County? That's assuming the jurors (and by extension, the citizens) are very dumb and very racist. I don't think they are. It will backfire on the defense team. They are very desperate, though.

With multiple confessions, a mountain of evidence and the killers leading the BCI to the murder weapons hidden on the grandmother's property?
Racist? Where does racism enter into this scenario?

finished till tomorrow, this Judge keeps the shortest hours of any Judge I have ever seen, most judges try to fill the day with witnesses so that the trial can be kept as short as possible, that way they don't get to a stage where they have lost too many jurors that are needed for deliberations, life happens whilst the jury is sitting and things beyond their control mean that they cannot continue to be on the jury due to events happening in their lives, there are 6 alternates in this jury though so hopefully we have plenty of jurors left when time for deliberations begins

Grow ops are irrelevant.

Two people have confessed to these murders. They've provided full accounts of all 4 Wagner family members participation. The have directions on where to find evidence, including the murder weapons.

The evidence is there, voluminous amount
The confessions are done

The Wagners killed the Rhodens and Hannah Gilley. It's all over except for the formality of the trials for those who refuse to accept a plea deal.
Agree. Grow op is a huge distraction the defense is using and will continue to employ.
MJ grow may have contributed to contention between the Rhoden and Wagner families, but Prosecution will show it was not The Reason for murders......IMO

The conspiracy theories about the "drug" operation "Mexican Cartels" and somebody called "Big Mike" plays into all the racist tropes related to drug trafficking. JMO

I don't think any of those people were roaming around Pike, Scioto and Adams Counties plotting mass murder, forcing the Wagners to buy supplies and hiking up the hill to the big pond on Fredericka and Bob Wagner's property to hide the guns. Someone would have noticed that kind of activity. That was a big argument made in the beginning of the investigation.

I"m watching this link for Law&Crime via youtube. NO commercials/interruptions like their TV site. They have subtitles, but not really good.
That's the most reliable I have found so far

I must have missed the term "Mexican Cartels" or even "Cartel" brought up by the defense. Then again, I have not watched all that has been broadcast. Never heard somebody called "Big Mike" used in terms of drug trafficking nor did I see anything in that regards while doing a cursory google search. Can you please expand on that?

So I called the court and they weren't sure if a regular person could buy a transcript. She said she would let me know. We need to read what Angela and Jake say when the trial is over. Anyone else have thoughts on this?. So many people are opting out of being recorded I feel a transcript is the only way to get all the facts.

A transcript of this trial would fill in some of these blanks. So many opting out of being recorded.

I think Angela and Jake could opt out of being recorded. I'm waiting to see where the prosecution proves George is guilty. Crime scene discoveries first I figured that.

If I get a transcript I'm printing it here, some of it, especially Jake and Angela.

And a photo of their prison mug shots and prisons their sent to.

All it takes is one juror...

Personally that is what I think this is all about. One juror thinking that "hey, at least they took out some bad guys. Hillbilly style." Perhaps a juror who lost a family member to opiods.

That I believe is the intent of this defense.
Well even a juror that might feel some "bad guys" were taken out would be hard to convince that Hannah Mae nursing her 5 day old baby was part of the "bad guys" and Chris Jr a minor, and a mom and dad with their 2 young children present.. the 6 month old with a blood saturated diaper??? I don't think anyone on that jury is going to see THAT as part of collateral damage while taking out "bad guys" It is inconceivable to most rational thinking people that marajauana would be the cause for an entire family to be annihilated.

Probably the one the defense filed this morning.
There are some posts about it earlier today if you want to look back.

I'd say off the top of my head, of course they took the cash...if they knew where it was stashed, they had CRSR's keys.

Proceeds from a few MJ sales can absolutely be deposited in a safety deposit box at a bank. NO IRS reporting, no bank oversight other than accessing their vault.

No one outside of law enforcement knows the extent of the grow because nothing has been disclosed. No pictures, no nothing. Just someone's opinion. If there is any evidence whatsoever there was money in those rotted mobile homes i wanna see it. These same rumors were passed around
furiously on a now closed website. Unless there is proof otherwise this is nothing but hyperbole and folklore based off a perceived norm. IMO

MJ is cheaper than cigarettes. It is hardly the 70s cash cow it used to be.
MJ is cheaper than cigarettes.

I agree.

The only thing stated by one of the opted out deputies and reported in the Local 12 news articles (pictures on the news site posted up thread by Betty) was the MJ was in the second story of the garage, a box trailer from a semi truck beside the garage and an outbuilding, looks like maybe a 10X12 building painted black out behind the chicken houses for the game roosters. Nothing compared to grows in this state. Here they are buying up old schools and hospitals and turning them into MJ grows. 5 dispensaries in my small town alone. 1 on every corner in Tulsa and OKC.

MJ is 60.00 an ounce advertised all over my town, probably much cheaper in Tulsa or OKC. Even at the Native American smoke shops which do not have to pay state taxes on tobacco cigarettes are almost 80.00 a carton.

Cheech and chong would have a field day with the flood of MJ. Up in smoke! Supply and demand. There is more supply in Seo than demand. The demand was at the time of the murders opoids and soon after heroine. Pot was and is candy or brownies!!! What it isnt is a motive to murder a bloodline. Absurd therories in my opinion.
I agree. No way is MJ a motive to kill 8 people. Not even in the realm of possibility. It is such a non starter that AC didn't even mention it in her opening statement.

Only a narcissistic pedophile domestic abuser with a mother who has no life other than to spy on her sons ex's and report back to them would do that.
