Saw that too. I know he's allowed the laptop, but receiving messages would be against the judge's order in my opinion. He could be coached from outside the courtroom.

PIKE COUNTY TRIAL: Hanshaw says investigators noticed video cameras mounted on this building - they wanted to look more into it. We already know from prior testimony that this housed one of the marijuana grow ops.

PIKE COUNTY TRIAL: Hanshaw says they swabbed that door handle - and there was insufficient DNA for a comparison. This is stipulated as fact.

PIKE COUNTY TRIAL: Hanshaw says investigators believed there was forced entry into the garage - because of the handle on the ground and what they thought was a small amount of blood transferred to the door. They found no recording devices for the camera system inside.

Okay, someone transferred GR's blood onto the garage grow door.

CR's DNA not found on the door.

edit: Hanshaw stated a small grow was located behind a black curtain.

JMO, that means whomever broke the door handle/lock into the grow op had Gary Rhoden's blood on their hands/gloves.

That lock was broken after Chris and Gary were killed. Someone got blood on their hands from touching Gary's body or some surface that had his blood.

PIKE COUNTY TRIAL: Prosecutor Andrew Wilson says both sides agree that the swab of the blood stains on the door to the garage - positive for blood and the DNA is Gary Rhoden.

PIKE COUNTY TRIAL: Hanshaw says he went inside that door to the garage - calls what he found a "remarkable" number of cables on the floor traced back from the exterior camera. But nothing attached to the other end. Past a curtain, Hanshaw describes "A small marijuana grow room."

edit: Hanshaw states he was on scene (approx) noon to past 3am. (approx 15+ hours) Also states he had no problem as far as getting stuck in the hallway while carrying the bodies out.

Agent and someone else personally put on gloves, put each victim in a bag and carried them out to the ambulance.

Were photos of grow operation shown on camera? I've only seen the cables.

She gets out at age 78 in the year 2048. Her sentence started on November 13, 2018. No parole, no early release. She will serve 30 full years (counting jail time) then be released. Deering said she had to abide by her plea deal.

Yeesh. She looks oddly content in that mugshot.

Like someone who has "won," because while she'll be in prison for a very long time she has succeeded in a significant part of her mission, to (nearly) wipe out the family that offended her.

She was the driving force behind this mass murder, IMO. I get why the deal was made but it's a tough one.
