Shiny dome lawyer doesn't mind treating females like they are lying but has not one word to say to a male. Seems kinda cowardly. Unlikable.
I think it is because Corey's testimony wasn't about GW is was all what a horrible, controlling person JW was.

And all of that was hearsay, but no objections?? He didn't witness any of that, he only heard Hannah say that this is how Jake was. So confusing when one thing is an objection and others aren't.
Right!? What's going on?!

My thought, it was all about Jake being the bad guy. Which he is. Nothing about G4. Doesn’t matter. G4 participated.

The other testimony was hearsay about Jake too. About those texts and what Hannah had told her, the defense objected. Finally got it in by saying she was there the day before with Hannah and first hand saw the texts messages.

Jake came to Cory's house about a week before the murders. He was there about 45 minutes. Jake had called Hanna before that raising heck about seeing Sophia or something. He told him to come over to his house, so he did.

Saw Jake and his family casually at Sophia's birthday party at the fire house. Hanna told him how Jake kept her in her bedroom locked up for 6 months. Wouldn't let her see her family.
Corey said JW was raising objections to Sofia being at Corey's, probably HR too. Corey said he could understand that, he didnt know Corey so he invited him in to his home.

I feel like Chelsea is going to have good testimony. She was with Frankie when Hannah was with Jake. I am sure they were together often. I don't know how long they might have dated, but she had a baby about the same time Hannah had Sophia, well before Sophia was born, but if she was around at all she likely witnessed things she can speak about on the record! She might be one of the only people to have been around them the most that is still live.
She might have witnessed some of JW's behaviors.

Im giving in early and off to bed. I'll catchup tomorrow to see what Chelsea had to say.
I found Cory very believable he broke me down to tears. It's obvious he loved Hanna very much. He's had a narrow escape but don't think he views it that way all of the time. So many if onlys, things could have been different.

goodnight sleuthers. Catch you tomorrow.

Now Chelsea Robinson up next
IMO she is most likely the last witness for the day and since she is an opt out, we won't see anything else today.

Here we have a young man that admits to being addicted to pills. He says he knew the baby wasn't his because they hadn't had relations yet, he heard she had an accident and wanted to check on her, they get together and the father of the baby isn't coming around, so he tells him I'll take care of her, name her, be there for her as if she is mine, Hannah stayed with him through withdrawals, he was there every step of the way for Hannah and Kylie, and Sophia, wanted to be at her birthday party, but didn't want to make waves so he came by to say hi and left, Jake was uneasy about Sophia being around him because he didn't know him so Corey invites Jake to his house..

Ya'll this is the definition of a man. Admits mistakes, tries hard to fix them, does what he says he will do, takes responsibility, tries to do what's right for those he loves, tries to do what's right even for the father of his girlfriends daughter. If she only would have found him sooner.

What is going on in this courtroom!? All that stuff Corey just testified had to be hearsay no?

I thought so a couple times, but listened carefully and most of it is first hand knowledge.

Yeah that was first hand knowledge, not hearsay. He knew why Jake was upset, what he was doing, what he was saying.

The other comment he made about how Hanna had told him about being locked up, etc. was hearsay. Perhaps defense didn't object because the same testimony will be made by someone who knew first hand how Jake locked Hanna up.

Someone that controlling, at such a young age, from a family who was just as controlling - all had to be enraged when Hanna began a relationship with Corey and Hanna moved with Dana to the new place. The Wagners were in a blind rage at that point.

I also wonder if it wasn't Billy W who was pushing Chris Sr to get involved in trafficking hard drugs and Chris Sr refused.

Thank you. I was sitting here waiting, with video showing the courtroom security camera on the wall.

All the things he did were very mature and responsible for a guy his age. He was only 25 at the time. Got off drugs for Hanna, helped her, fixing up a house for her, etc.

I feel it's telling when a defense resorts to attacking witnesses that aren't really in the game so to speak. That tells me there is no real defense otherwise they don't need to make anyone sound bad or confuse them. The defense should want the story out there if there is zero connection to their client. Instead of asking clarifying questions like AC did, they asked questions that continue to confuse or try to trip up the witness for what purpose? Confuse the jury, make the witness sound bad.. the witness that saw his murdered cousin laying there.. seriously it really is gross. I know defense is a necessary part of the system, but I don't like this type of defense. It really seems desperate and not a true defense.

Because George has no clear defense because he was at the crime scenes. This goes along with Ohio law. You can't go along on 8 murders, participating, and not get convicted of murder. My opionion from my research.

Will the jury believe George did not go to any murder scenes but instead stayed home?

Will the jury believe George knew nothing about his family planning the murders?

Will the jury believe George did absolutely nothing as far as participating in the murders?

Will the jury believe George had no chance to warn Reader and LE and stop the murders?

I found CH’s testimony powerful. I could feel life in his words, and the description of HR’s spirit as he remembered it. From not wearing shoes as she caught a big catfish, her calming spirit, to how wonderful a mother she was and was going to be..
Well done CH….

Well, Corey Holdren made me cry (the 1st time during this trial). His testimony was so heartbreaking. IMO-AC wanted to show the jury want true love is all about. It sure is not about being controlled by one man and his entire family too or at least going along with it. Again that part it just IMO.

BBM Wasn't it mentioned in opening about a big run they were going to do and CRsr backed out? Billy was the instigator there and it wasn't something CRsr was comfortable with. Wonder if that was marijuana or something else?

The stuff about HR being locked in a room at the W's and not allowing her father to see her has to be hearsay. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it got in but am perplexed as to why some things are objected to and sustained and other things aren't questioned at all when they are clearly hearsay, AJMO
