Respectfully, I don't agree with your opinion of AC. I thought she was spot on today and yesterday.

Yes Angela Canepa is "one tough cookie". Here is an example:

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man convicted as a juvenile of raping a 16-year-old girl has consistently tried to minimize his involvement in the crime and should remain on Ohio's sex offender registry, state prosecutors argue. .......
.................................... "
Richmond has sought to minimize his involvement and avail himself of the absolutely least amount of personal accountability for his actions," Angela Canepa an assistant Attorney General working as a special prosecutor, said in a Feb. 22 filing in Jefferson County juvenile court.

Richmond has portrayed himself as a victim of the criminal justice system and sought the lowest possible punishment for his actions, including categories on the sex offender list, special prosecutor Angela Canepa said. ( BBM)

Prosecutor: Keep ex-Steubenville athlete convicted of rape on sex offender list

A very complicated case:

Attorney General DeWine denied that any deals have been made and won't rule out future charges for those witnesses.

3 different parties.

When Trent and Ma'lik arrived, the narrow street outside the house of the party was crammed with cars. By some estimates, there were as many as 40 to 50 teenagers there and no adults. What was in abundance was alcohol, according to Ma'lik and several of the attendees. Witnesses said the girl who invited Trent was one of the more tipsy teens there.

"She had her arm wrapped around me and one hand on my chest. It just felt like she was coming on to me," Ma'lik told ABC News' Elizabeth Vargas in an exclusive interview for "20/20."

Even if the latest indictments do not produce convictions, DeWine’s aggressive stance is an important moment. By holding adults accountable, prosecutors might persuade school administrators and coaches to make it their business to tell the police when they hear students or athletes have done something illegal. And maybe the police will be more diligent about investigating such complaints.

In Steubenville, the victim’s parents eventually came forward with evidence that pushed the authorities to begin an inquiry, but even then, many of the people in town refused to tell investigators what they knew.

The Ohio Attorney General's Office says Richmond tried to escape responsibility for his actions from the beginning when he lied to police about not having a cell phone. Only a search of other phones led to evidence of Richmond's guilt, the state said.

"Richmond has sought to minimize his involvement and avail himself of the absolutely least amount of personal accountability for his actions," Angela Canepa, an assistant Attorney General working as a special prosecutor, said in a Feb. 22 filing in Jefferson County juvenile court.

I kinda like when she's coming back after cross and then comes back again. She does not give up when the defense is trying to "one up" her or make some point. She has went back several times and clarified and then clarified again when the defense tries to be a little shady. I love that.
I agree, she's been getting the last word in but not being petty, being thorough.

What exactly is GW's and attorney's plan? I don't really see one.
Wasn't there- nope
Didn't shoot- so what
Momma made him go- so what
Didn't get rid of guns properly- yep

Jeez... his lawyers will have to pull a rabbit out of a hat.
Unfortunately GW and his attorneys don’t need to have a plan. The law doesn’t require that GW and his attorneys prove he is innocent. The law requires that the prosecuting attorneys prove he is guilty.

I am hoping it is the prosecution who can somehow pull a rabbit out of a hat!

I didn't know AC was involved in the prosecution of the Steubenville case. IMO, that was an awful case.

From what I've read, the community tried to cover it up. I have even more confidence in AC knowing this.

From Billy's interview played today in court:

Said Chris Sr was upset that week. Billy and Chris Sr had lunch at the lake early in the week that this all happened.

Claims Chris Sr was upset about Christopher Jr smoking spice, but Billy doesn't think Chris Jr was doing that.

Middle of that week Billy saved Chris Sr from drinking and driving. (I guess because he was so upset about something that he just didn't tell Billy about)

Says the last time he talked to him was the night before that happened.. him and Sophia called Chris Sr to tell him goodnight about 8 - 9pm. Says he woke up the next morning to all hell broke loose.

Claims Chris Sr took Chris's Jr's car so Billy knew Chris Jr car was at Chris Srs and not at Dana's.

Just in the beginning of his chat, Billy is asked about the last time he talked to Chris Sr. and he has went on about his blood sugar being 400, then they tried to focus in on the last time he saw him/talked to him and Billy interrupts and says he wonders why the DEA isn't involved in this.

Now he's claiming Hannah Rhoden was seeing a deputy and he heard a deputy was sitting on the road that night.

Then, he said he can't believe it took them this long to talk to him. ((Well if you would have not been so hard to find Billy maybe they could have talked to you))

He then tells them he thinks they are going in the wrong da#$ direction. Then he stumbles over his words for like a solid minute, then he proceeds to tell them about a deal Chris had coming in. Then he says he was going to start selling to the people he was buying from because he could sell it to them cheaper.

At one point Billy says "I think I've met you somewhere before"
BCI agent " I don't think so" :D

Then he says if Chris could come up out of his grave and tell you who done it, he wouldn't.

People he has blamed:

That Stone boy (his words)
couple of them in greenfield
rest of them in Latham
black guy down in Cincinnati - supposedly Chris's kids burned up the brush pile (that was really weed) and that was this guys pot he owed this guy money then because the kids burned up the supply??)
Fat boy out on dry bone
Vance (I think this is who he is saying I hate that Son of a B)
Latham's cousin (think this is who he says first name is Russel)

Okay I am not even half way through, but need a break. This was just the list I made re listening. I believe more people are mentioned after this.

It was a big media complicated case with even DeWine involved, and Canepa won over the jury.

I'm pointing this out so posters who keep saying she seems to not be doing a good job, will see she is very experienced and knows how to play the long game. She is playing the long game now with the Wagner Case. Her long game strategy got pleas from Jake and Angela. My opinion.

I thought that today she did. The state showed Wg’s list of guns. GW and JW were the owners of the guns. If I was on that jury that there would set alarm bells off to me . JMO

George also said he bought the night scope to shoot raccoons. He said he could do that because it was legal.

He couldn't legally do that with any of those high-powered rifles in Ohio. Not that he worried about that.

At one point AC got upset after an objection and side bar, and someone asked ,not sure who it was, about a number. She said hatefully "I don't know, I threw it away". Then proceeded to pick a document up and read a number from it. The way the Judge was looking at her I thought she was going to get her azz handed to her.

That was a year or so before the Rhoden Massacre. The cop who killed his neighbor lost his job and spent time in jail, IIRC.

Didn't have anything to do with Billy and family killing the Rhodens and Hannah Gilley. Some of the stuff Billy was saying to the BCI officers was intended to intimidate them, of all things. He mentioned how much money he and his mom and dad had. He talked about corrupt police. He was trying to send them a message. JMO, he had said the same things to local police for years. Sometimes it worked.

Pretty sure I know the exchange you're referring to and she wasn't rude to the judge. She was temporarily flustered. It had to do with the file number assigned to one of the graphics in the Power Point presentation they were using for the testimony of the BCI agent.

Billy's recording starts about the 46 minute mark. Easy to hear Billy and the agents.

Didn't he tell them that he was a 'trust fund baby'?

I couldn't understand half of what he was talking about.

I found it on youtube. I put "law and crime network George Wagner". Then found the one posted 4 hours ago. It starts about 45 minutes in. No idea how to add links but I will try.

Billy told them Chris grew up rough but he didn't and that he was given a trust fund.

That doesn't mean he gets the money now, not sure when or how much etc.... But obviously Billy likes to remind everyone he comes from money.

In prison they will think he is rich and try to find ways to get whatever they can from him. Better for people in prison to think you don't have much.
