That's a good question @skyedaze especially because this case has been going on for years! I think so much previously stated in pretrial motions, etc., has been committed to memory but the only evidence that matters is what the jurors have heard and seen since the date they were seated.

I just wanted to hear the SOB say he shot the mother of his child in the head while sleeping with her newborn... in court for all to hear.

PERSONAL OBSERVATION: It’s incredibly disturbing to listen to testimony from a confessed killer. I’m sure that sounds obvious.. but if you’re not in the room, it’s hard to emphasize this point.

I followed Angenette Levy and she initially tweeted Billy proposed killing Hanna or Sophia. When others asked for confirmation, she replied that although it doesn't sound right, she checked her notes and Sophia is exactly what she wrote down. In other words, she agreed it sounds off but she did NOT revise her tweet.

Can we find tweets from a different source that clearly state Billy proposed killing Hanna or Jake (not Sophia)? TIA.

I can actually see Billy taking the position that if they were denied Sophia then nobody would have her. It doesn't follow that Billy would want Jake dead. For what? IMO, Angela would kill Billy before her golden child Jake be killed. MOO

I was thinking the same thing! I’d love to ask him if he still thinks the way he did then. Does he still think the killings were justified, or has he changed his mind and thought process, now that he is away from his family. He mouthed, “I’m sorry”, but is he, really?

It sounds weird to say and I don't know sometimes I want to see the good in people once they have admitted wrongs.. I like to think anyone is capable of some change. It doesn't change that I think he deserves LWOP and hope he never is free again, but I do think it's possible he has remorse. I think it's very possible he didn't realize until he was locked up away from his family having no contact and possibly talking to other inmates about their lives or even his lawyers or just anyone else except his sick parents. It's possible he realized there was abuse and all the fear and lies were his mother pumping up this story so she could get exactly what she wanted.

I think his matter of fact telling of the killings could be the only way he can get through it in court. I think whatever his reasons are he did finally do the right thing. This is what will help make sure the Rhoden's and Gilley's get justice for their loves ones. I also think it was likely hard for him to be the first to make a deal. Even as twisted as this family is, it had to be hard to know you were the one that told first.

I wish George would have been the first to crack and told someone BEFORE they all died.

I am still unsure if I believe Jake's version of how uninvolved George is. I don't think it means he's lying, but I do feel George had a larger role, maybe was just as amped up, maybe he did freeze up and not shoot, maybe he is the one that shot Chris Sr's arm and then couldn't shoot again so Jake grabbed it and starting shooting willey nilley.. maybe George shot Kenneth. I guess those details don't mean George is more or less guilty or that Jake's story can't be believed because no matter who did or didn't shoot, his story puts them all there and all just as guilty as the next then. I just think he could be trying to minimize George's role maybe out of guilt or something..
Anyway, I'd like to think he is capable of realizing he was wrong. Since I think he went off course because of his mother mainly.. if she is not there to influence him anymore than I can definitely see how maybe he's seeing the light so to speak.

Sounds like JW killed 5 of the 8 victims supposedly? If so then yeah he would need the plea deal to avoid DP. Just for argument sake, say GW4 really did not shoot anyone...this is best strategic move for the Ws perhaps. JW has deal to avoid DP...mommy gets her lil sentence, GW4 didn't actually shoot anyone so maybe he won't get DP, Dad only shot 3/8 (like that's better?) so maybe he won't get DP. Oh and they did not "harm" any babies.
I mean, maybe this is the plan they are hoping for here defense wise?

I thought about no court this Thursday and that Deering announced Friday to the jurors that the other trial in the court house was cancelled this week but they were to show up. It was planned for today and kept off court view about transporting JW to the court house. I checked last week and this morning and it wasn’t there.

So the way Jake tells his story is I went into Frankie house shot Frankie in the head then leaned over and shot Hannah Hazel in the head but truth is I shot Frankie 3 times in the head and then I shot Hannah Giley 5 times in the face so she couldn’t have an open casket funeral, Jake is a low life piece of crap, JMO

I also asked prosecutors whether Jake is testifying "to their satisfaction" as plea deal stipulates, but they said too early to tell.

There are a ton of tweets posted here today from at least 5 different sources you can scroll back & read. (It was morning half of day, I believe right before first break). I've read them all here plus probably 6-8 more sources on Twitter. She is the only one who reported it that way. Even SHE said she didn't believe it & it doesn't make sense.

Might be different motives for Billy and Jake. Billy might have jealousy toward Chris Sr. One of those people that is never really happy to see your friend doing too well espeically it's it's better than you are doing. They say yay to your face, but run their mouth behind your back because they are jealous.. possibly his motive.

Jake maybe it was females.. he's got mommy issues. Also HHG's brother was the baby's daddy I think. The baby Jake wanted to be his... Dana was the one supporting Hanna to stay away from Jake. Wasn't it said she confronted Jake that very week of the murders about him hurting Hannah. He was mad at the world over Hannah Mae moving on.

I've missed so much of the trial. I'm trying to catch up. I read that Jake's Mom accused his ex of molesting S, and also how Jake's ex-wife escaped.

Am I understanding this correctly, she wasn't allowed to read to the children? Was that Angela's rule? What was her crazy rationale? And they kept S from grieving her Mom's death? I can't even imagine how they convinced themselves that that was okay. I thought they operated (usually) under the pretense of what was best for the children. They couldn't possibly have convinced themselves that that was healthy.

I think JW's jealousy of HHG's brother having dated Hanna could have something to do with it. Jake was very immature. He's also nuts.
