GWIV was there, he helped which is much more than inaction, AJMO
Oh I totally agree, I was speaking about all the things leading up that Jake is speaking about. He may not have had active roles in every step, but he knew and was silent.. didn't say hey I know we do all this other criminal stuff, but this is over the top and I'm not doing it. Seems George was passive a lot.. Jake wrecked his truck for insurance $$, but George sure benefited from having that truck paid off.. fires burned the house down and that money funded the Peterson Road house (not sure it it's been said exactly how those fires started, but we know they all removed items because they knew it was going to happen). Seems ole George keeps his name out of things, but sure benefits from what his "Bad boy" baby brother has done. This is me imagining what he is saying to himself. He keeps his hands out of it, but when the money rolls in he wins.

Just an observation but I haven’t seen this on any other reporting. I know not everyone hears the same thing exactly the same way but that’s pretty big. I find it odd no one else caught that. At least not that I have seen yet. JMO

I’m glad we’re pulling a variety of Tweets today. Every one of them has caught a little something unique to help fill in blanks.
You're right, this is BIG, and it's weird that no one else reported it. I am wondering now if she misunderstood..

He wouldn't, all a lie by GWIV's defense attorney?
Why would his attorneys place GW present at the murders if they didn't have to. They are claiming it is in Jake's proffer.

Snipped: In documents filed last week, defense attorneys cited Jake Wagner’s confession. They said it contained information that his brother “was not supposed to accompany Jake and his father and only went along at the ‘last second’ to protect Jake from their father.”

Bumping this up.

And and they stored stuff at CRsr before they torched the house. Wonder how many fires are contributed to the extended family.

Cannot image and don't want to image what they are going through listen to the sick person that took their loved ones and thought of taking his sweet daughter! She may not see his testimony but she sure can read it one day! So so sad!
I actually had a thought and not that I like to give Jake any credit because what he did is just so horrific it's hard to imagine any good in there, but I think he does care for Sophia in a very sick way it seems he genuinely loved/loves her. Maybe he didn't want her to ever have to hear that? I am sure he has selfish reasons too and maybe it's so Billy's lawyers don't have it or who knows what other selfish reason, but maybe in there it also is him not wanting Sophia to ever hear him talking about what he did.

Edited to include more tweets:

Another break to update you. This courthouse is on lockdown anytime Jake is moved through the hallways. The deputies stopped me as he walked past. Before he got in front of me, I could hear the shackles around his ankles bang against the floor as he walked closer.

He just made it very clear to jurors that George was there when the murders happened. If jurors believe his testimony.

He said he modified the pickup truck he bought from his great uncle to include hiding spots in the bed for him and George. His mom bought the shoes from walmart for him and his brother to wear.

"I told her to buy two tennis shoes... I think I used the world ugly tennis shoes.”

He said his mom, himself and George made documents related to child custody. His mom forged hanna's signature.

He and George dyed their hair to match his favorite character from the walking dead.

He said they knew Hanna was pregnant with her second child. So, the plan was to wait until the baby was born.

He and his brother built a false cover on the pickup truck to hide in. Dad took the glock 40, he took the 1911/22, George had an SKS. He and George wose ski mask, gloves and dark clothing and the "ugly shoes" his mom bought.

to psych himself up, he watched the boondock saints two ding dong clip i told you about. He smiled and held back laughter when prosecution made him watch it in court again today.

said his dad drove them to Chris Sr.'s home... lured Chris and Gary out of the home. George did not shoot when he had the chance. So, dad acted like he was looking for his cell phone and had chris call it. he walked outside and said what happened. jake said george wouldn't do it

Jake said he got into George's position... dad lured Chris out again and Jake fired. Was aiming for the head "I was supposed to shoot one time... in the head so he wouldn't feel a thing." "I missed, closed my eyes and started firing in the mid section.”

someone else fired a gun inside the house. while jake went and stole the security system hard drive, someone dragged chris and gary's bodies to the bed. he walked in, stole their phones then left. that's where we left off. going back in now.

I see the problem with this is that even if this is true, George wasn't going to be there that night and last minute decided to go.. that would imply he did know all along this was the plan and what was going to happen. So still implicates him.

What we’ve been waiting for:

On a 15 minute break. Jake testified that George helped build the fake bottom for the truck bed, and tagged along and was dressed with ski mask gloves and the shoes his mother bought just like he was. @local12

Jurors in George Wagner’s murder trial on a break. George’s brother, Jake Wagner, will continue testifying for the State of Ohio in about 10 minutes. Jake confessed to his role in the 2016 #PikeCountyMassacre last year.

Regarding the night of the murders, prosecutor Angela Canepa asked Jake, “Was George also going to participate in that night?” Jake Wagner answered, “Yes.”

Jake Wagner said he and his brother George built a false pickup bed cover so they could remain hidden in the pickup truck Jake bought to use on the night of the murders.

Jake just described, in vivid detail, shooting and killing Chris Rhoden Sr., the first of 8 Rhoden loved ones killed in April 2016. Jake said George Wagner was supposed to shoot Chris Sr. but basically froze. So Jake said he pulled the trigger himself.

More updates later. Have to head back up to the courtroom to secure my seat. It's gotten really crowded.

So why would Jake need protecting from Billy?
I recall when the defense made that argument last year (GW4 went to protect Jake) in their motion against the DP for GW4 and the prosecution responded that the defense was cherry-picking from Jake's confession.

All I know is there's been no tweet today citing Jake testifying GW4 went along to the murder to protect him from Billy.

Perhaps when the defense cross-examines Jake it will come up but it hasn't thus far. JMO

Yep they did at the hearings GWIV had but changed it to he wasn't there at all, home with kids and didnt find out about the murders until the next day...according to the defense opening statement. Quite the difference in stories.

Although we can't hear Jake making these claims in court today, I'm reading his statements that appear so matter-of-fact as if they're talking about a recipe for the 4th of July cookout, and not the annihilation of an entire family!

How frightening would it be to spend an hour with this clan? I think you'd be scarred for life.

James Pilcher has a few good info tweets.

That's as far as we've gotten thus far. The Wagners are about to walk to Frankie Rhoden's trailer. The entire family knew the plan - Angela Wagner was supposed to browse Facebook on Jake's phone left behind at home to make it appear he was still at Petersen Road. @local12

AC said in her opening statement that JW said in his proffer that BW AND GWIV dragged the bodies to the bedroom...Guess JW is changing his tune about that?
