See what I mean?

How many here would describe broad black and white stripes as "drab"?
I keep thinking surely someone in her family - brother, SIL, her mom, etc. could afford to even go to Goodwill and buy her a decent dress or sweater/slacks. She's worn the prison drabs through every hearing.

Maybe since she pled guilty she no longer has the option of wearing civilian attire. Didnt jake stay in his jailhouse "drab" garb while giving testimony?

No, she's always dressed this way. Jake used to wear a black shirt and black slacks/jeans. At first we thought she was being punished for making phone calls to Jake and others from jail. She was breaking the rules in her calls to her mom RN. There were rumors of other things she got in trouble for in jail, but not sure.

Looked like Jake was wearing a gray scrub shirt and some sort of blue pants when he came into the courthouse for testimony.

Yes, the rules must change once you've pleaded guilty and start serving yr sentence. But AW has always worn jail garb.

I bet she is doing ok in jail. Queen Mom probably coniving and giving her special type motherly advice to her fellow inmates.

So, CN lied under oath about the car accident.
Also, how do you include yourself in that scheme and not think about getting seriously hurt/dead? Jeesh.

I'd say that he did, but based on his injuries, after I heard about the accident that he was in, I just took at as, yeah, he's a conman / thief, too, but he's not a murderer. He missed too many things he should have remembered that were not related to the murders. He may have remembered the "why" of him wrecking, but if he had to be airflighted, and injuries were as severe as I felt they seemed, he may have lost a lot of memories. As far as getting into the scheme? He was young, stupid, and immortal. Dollar figures and excitement in a nothing town.

She may not want them. She's already confessed too. She is no longer considered a member of free society. She is not there, as an innocent person (by law), attending her own trial.

As one does. Threatening gun violence has such a calming effect during heated moments.

Can you hear my eyes rolling? We're just getting started and I'm furious already. All three young women were threatened with violence to keep them in line. Please oh please let the jury see this clearly.
I so agree!

I recall seeing a tweet from someone in the courtroom during opening that said even though many commented AC was rambling and all over the place, the jury was focused on her and engaged during the entire opening she gave.
I'm beginning to think that's just her style.

  • #431
He lied if you believe AW. If where lying, could this cancel her plea deal?
No, she only has to testify to the satisfaction of the prosecution. IANAL but that's what I've got from this whole thing so far. Was CN asked if it was part of an insurance scam gone bad? IDR offhand.

Might actually end up being more freeing.

WATCH: Angela Wagner up next. She has opted "out" but we will have a feed of #GeorgeWagnerIV and any exhibits presented
@LawCrimeNetwork

LUNCH BREAK IN OH v. #GeorgeWagnerIV: Angela Wagner enters the courtroom handcuffed a striped, jail outfit. She does NOT look at her son. She only glanced at George briefly as she scanned the room when ready for break

Wagner says she is 52 and has currently been incarcerated for nearly 4 years "on murder charges." Canepa: Are you guilty of planning these murders? Angela: Yes. Canepa You helped plan that? Angela: Yes. Canepa: You helped prepare for it. Angela: Yes

Angela W. says when asked "my husband, Billy, and my sons, Jake and George" took part in planning the murders. "Yes", they helped plan it and prepare for it, she says

Canepa: Suffice it to say, all four of you were involved that night? Angela: Yes. Canepa asks her q's about when she married Billy, etc. 1991. "Jacob was almost six months old" when they moved to Bethel Hill Rd.

Angela says the boys only went to public school for 2 or 3 weeks. The boys wanted to go to public school but Angela said "It was really, really crowded... I didn't think they were getting the one-on-one attention they needed.”

Boys went to diesel mechanic school in 2009-2010. The boys were "closer to me." Billy taught boys "survival skills" stealing things. Angela says they set intentional fires.

"Me, my husband and my sons knew" fires on Bethel Hill Rd. would be intentionally set. The "new house" fire: me, my husband, and my two sons. Chris Rhoden was in on that one with us.”

They burned the new house, Angela says b/c Fredericka was going sell the property. Angela seemed annoyed by this. Also, she worked at the Flying W cleaning stalls and at Fredericka's Crystal Springs House "Howver long I could take working there.”

Angela talks about the intentional crashing of George's truck after the homicides. Her half-brother, Chris Newcomb, was supposed to spilt whatever he got. He didn't. They used money from crash to pay off truck. Too expensive to repair engine work

When she worked for Fredericka, she had to work 16 hour days, 3rd shift and then take Crystal Springs clients to appointments. Angela, Billy, George and Jake shared money. "I always asked" if she was going to use one their credit cards

This is important b/c state says Angela tried to use George's Cabela's VISA to buy the signal jammer. But, the fraud dept called George and the sale didn't go through.

"Jacob" had the BassPro Rewards Card. They bought stuff using it b/c at the end of the year you got money and they used it for Christmas shopping. Angela had been convicted of receiving stolen property maybe in 2009 for shoplifting.

Angela acted as a lookout when Billy stole fuel. He also stole Rocky boots. "He stole some couches. I was there... can't think of anything else.”

Billy and Chris grew marijuana but Angela wasn't allowed in there. Billy also didn't want Angela talking to Chris Sr. because they did business together.

Billy had a pill problem. Started taking diet pills to stay awake while driving a semi. Angela and GW4 got the same pills. Tabi lived with them at Peterson Rd. She says Tabi was concerned it was taking so long to get pregnant

She had Bulvine in July 2013. Sophia born 4 months later. When asked whether she suspected Tabi poisoned them, she said adamantly "yes". "She put things in George's cherry Kool-Aid and he was sick for days.”

Angela then said "she put some kind of pill in Bulvine's baby bottle" and "she put dog hair in our coffee one time" and was laughing about it. Tabi denied these things.

Angela said she said to Jake, "Oh my gosh, Jake. There's dog hair in this coffee.”

On the night Tabi left Peterson Rd. for good "she had an episode. She would have them often. Who knows why. She was yelling and screaming and hitting the walls.”

Angela said Tabi said "give me my baby and I said, no, Tabitha. I'll give you your baby when you calm down." Bulvine would get hurt during the episodes, she says.

Angela says Tabi walked out the house and she threw a board at her. She said she told her that she was going to get a gun to "snap her out of it" but didn't plan to do anything with it and never got the gun

Angela says she and Jake went looking for Tabitha. It was dark and they saw her pushing her bike up hill. Jake and George then went to find her to try to calm her down. Angela said she told George to call the cops and let them settle it.

George met Tabi at the courthouse and paid a fine for her. Ultimately, he won custody of Bulvine and Tabitha got supervised visits by George whenever they could work out a time.

Hanna May and Jake met at the Piketon Fair. Hanna May said "do you want to pet my rabbit?" They started dating. It was serious, Angela says, way before Hanna got pregnant. Angela said she came home from work one day and Jake wanted her to buy a pregnancy test.

Angela says Dana Rhoden was upset that Hanna May took her to the clinic when she was pregnant and not Dana.

More later.

AFTERNOON BREAK IN OH v. #GeorgeWagnerIV: "We had to protect Sophia", says Angela Wagner. She says she became concerned after Hanna started seeing other men when she broke up with Jake

Members of the jury are filtering back into the courthouse here in Waverly, OH. Angela Wagner's testimony should resume in just a few minutes. I'll share updates when I'm back in the media room, after I've had a chance to review my notes.

She's convicted, therefore she doesn't have the choice of wearing anything but prison garb. George is allowed street clothes as he's innocent until proven guilty.

I don't know about you ladies but those horizontal stipes would not look good on me

Odd place to stop for lunch, maybe AC has already had it with her BS. She is not considered "convicted" is she??? If the state doesn't like either JW or AWs testimony doesn't the DP go back on all of them??? That was my understanding, that she will have to serve 30 WOP if she testifies to the state's liking.

So that may be why the Wagners encouraged CN to sue the insurance for the wreck, in order to get his share. Was thinking that could be the case, they paid off the truck and had no money left.

Would've been easier to sell it for payoff. Edit: safer too

I wonder who would cash in had CN been killed?

Big right arm with a tattoo in the passenger side of the vehicle at Walmart parking lot. Hmm, GW4? Picture on the screen.

Earlier they said that was a Chevy Suburban but I thought Ford Excursion when I saw it. Only caught a glimpse however. Hard to stay focused on a silent screen.
