@MonroeTrombly

Bombshell testimony in the #PikeCountyMassacre murder trial of #GeorgeWagnerIV: His mother Angela Wagner tells the prosecution that George offered to take the fall for the killings. She told him no. "One, they wouldn't believe him and two, he was not going to do that," she said.

Angela Wagner also recalled how she felt when she learned that George's younger brother Jake had changed his not guilty plea to guilty: "Horrible. I felt like my heart was ripped out that day."

I think this is it for him, George offered to take the fall for the killings. No way he can say now he was not involved, IMO.

ETA: I mean he can, but it's not believable..

Oh I understand and agree. It doesn't matter as to the case. The case is Murder period and the state has made it's case. What matters to me personally is the BS and AC allowing this THING to get this 30 year deal and get on the stand and slander her victims with LIES. No way, if they were so paranoid about SA that they wouldn't have RAN to the ER to verify and take that child. If it was TRUE, that would have been their answer. No murder needed. This THING should have never been given this good of a deal @ 30 years-- she should have only been offered same plea bargained for LWOP just like Jake. It's BS. Sorry ranting.
How old will Angela Wagner be in 30 years? About 82? Prison takes a lot of years off a person's life. She likely will die in prison. I consider her plea deal same as LWOP and I'm glad she's testifying against George in exchange for the "gift" of 30 years (life) in prison. I think her testimony is even more valuable than JW's. opinion only.

Judge allowed JW to testify about his conversation with BW asking about regret. That could have been because BW and AW had this convo about regret. JW /BW convo was a result of that. It all ties in and should be allowed. AJMO

It will be interesting to hear AW's version of that convo with Billy. It sounds like it was.

I hope, hope, hope jury believes AW's testimony.

From what I'm reading sbout today's testimony, AW is trying to portray herself as the good mommy and grandma. Her self-serving comments are obvious to me. JMO

One could argue she is the modern day version of Ma Barker. I dont believe for a second she was submissive to anyone. She may have tolerated BW, but it was a financial motive. Her entire being, and those of her crime family, was all about money. She wasnt worried about SW and SA. She was concerned about a check from the gov. JMO.

MAJOR TESTIMONY UPDATE: Angela Wagner just said as police were closing in on her, Billy, George & Jake, that George offered to confess to his role in the 2016 #PikeCountyMassacre.

After the homicides & before she and her loved ones were arrested, Angela Wagner talked to Billy about George having nightmares. She told Billy: "I don't think that we should have involved them in the homicides" - the planning, any of it.

As has been widely reported, shoe print evidence might end up being critical to the State of Ohio's case against #GeorgeWagnerIV. Angela said George said about one print found at one of the crime scenes: "the shoe print was his."

Hold up! Did I just hear a BAM! ?

Angela is really doing some damage. I'm loving it!

ETA: cross-examination has begun. Mr Nash trying to do some damage control but I really hope it is too late.

Defense Attorney Richard Nash up for cross examination of AW.

No doubt jury will believe it, but IMO they will see through the lies about the SA claims. But, that's is not going to make a difference with a verdict of GUILTY! IMO

I didn't take them personally. It all makes me angry too but I try to look at it through AW's twisted mind. I think she's spent the last couple decades being the wife who submits to the husband's will. Even if it's wrong, he is head of the household. However, it goes on, to state, that the husband is to never put the wife in a place of risking her integrity. We are not to get Biblical but AW did have a type of belief system, and I feel that it played into it all. It's not to say others of the same belief would go to such lengths. She knew it was wrong, she could have stopped it that night, with one simple call. She could have saved her sons then. She's upset that it had to happen, "to protect S", but more upset her family was caught.
IMO if she was submitting to her husband's will, Billy would've been sleeping in her bed instead of her grandchildren.

If G4 was present on Rhoden property and armed with a gun (which we know from Jake), nothing Angela said will help him. The state has subpoenaed Silas Wagner, who will testify that Jake and George came to him to buy the murder truck. He signed the fake custody papers in case he died during the massacre. And Angela testified that he left with the other two and came back with them.

And--the conspiracy is more than the actual murders; it also involves planning, preparing, doing things like disabling security cameras and jamming cell signals, and covering up. If he burned his clothes--guilty. Jake testified that he helped put the guns in concrete--guilty. She testified DIRECTLY that she, Billy, Jake and George were all involved in planning and covering up the massacre. I don't see why people think George is going to walk free.

The concern I think, is that George could walk away from murder convictions if the jury doesn't believe Angela and especially believe Jake. I think people have been looking for the "smoking gun" in this trial for evidence that directly shows George's envolvement.

Instead, what it looks like is the co-defendant's testimony is what explains George's involvement. Explains specifically how he was involved. There are dozens of co-defendant statements backing up the prosecution's
Murder Conspiracy charge against George and placing George at the murder scenes that night.

The circumstantial evidence alone by itself against George - without Jake and Angela's testimony - could make him look guilty but might not be enough to some jurors to meet the necessary "beyond a reasonable doubt" threshold.

I think the co-defendant's testimony pushes the charges against George past the "guilty beyond a reasonable doubt" threshold. Their testimony makes George look guilty "beyond a reasonable doubt."

I see all kinds of circumstantial evidence against George but only one piece of direct evidence - his signature on fake custody documents.

Where can I find out how the defense tried to make Jake's testimony look like lies against George? What were the defense's questions to Jake? Without being able to watch or hear I don't know how the defense tried to discredit Jake, and now, Angie on the stand.

Does anyone have any good media information on this with links?

Without Angela's and especially Jake's testimony George's lawyers had a chance. But if the jury believes their testimony, then the lawyers must realize George will be found guilty. Angela and Jake are sending George to prison on a silver platter, right into the prosecution's lap.

Well... when the defendant has zero defense it is VERY hard to make one up.

Defense only chance is to keep showing (missed with JW) all the times AW has lied. Maybe then the jury might see she could/would be lying about GW's involvement. BUT... why would she lie about her son's involvement in the killings???

Bye GW!
