Note the length, the sticker, and the grill. This is an extended cab (I don't see any door handles on the back passenger seating area). The grill may be a junkyard grill, I'm having a bit of trouble finding one just like it on a 2010 Z71 off road. I want to know the specs on that bed and the overall body length. The angles are making it hard for me to measure and convert though. Anyone handy in that area?

Nov 4

Prosecutor Angela Canepa revealed that one night this week they built the "false bed" into the back of the truck, on the specs Jake Wagner provided during his testimony last week anticipating that the defense will argue that George who was heavier would not fit into that bed. 3/5
Snipped for brevity.

Truck was built last week, during the trial, after Jake gave his testimony. New evidence and no time to give copies to defense in advance.

Right, and this is why defense was whining and accusing AC of withholding evidence.

Or was the hay not used that night?
Average Truck Bed Lengths; They vary with make and model: Short beds are 5-6 feet long. The standard bed is from 6 to 6.5 feet and long bed is 8 feet long.

Twelve bales in a six foot bed, weighing approx 40-50# each. The second picture shows nine bales in a pickup. Imagine 12, on top of a covered hideway, around 24" tall or so. One row at most on the top I'd think, if they put hay on top. This truck does have wheel wells on the inside but it would still be a lot to configure. They may have, but I'd think it would also make them stick out more so than fit in, just driving back and forth in a vehicle full of hay.

No excuse this is a death penalty case.

The plywood was screwed down on top of the bedsides, then the hey was stacked on top leaving a void in the bed, the Wagner’s put a lot of thought into the commitment of the Rhoden/Giley murders, JMO
But they were also stupid. Use a tonneau cover and be done. Lots of work pretending to be anarchists for the family good.

Here's a video of a GMC 2000 Z71 Off Road. First one I've found that matched so closely. No specs though.

Had it been used that night, wouldn't there be some evidence of it at the crime scene at Chris Sr's home? If they were driving up, covered in hay bales, then climbed out to begin the shooting, wouldn't there be some hay bales lying around, or at least some hay strewn about?

There were a lot of cars, trucks, equipment, etc. in Chris's driveway and yard, but no hay that I can see. If they only used a small amount of hay, it might not show up on these photos, but bales or piles would

It does sound like a little like a Rube Goldberg invention. More complicated than necessary. Maybe a "meth" thing? IDK

They've had as much time to review their own reconstruction as defense. Literally w/in 24 hrs the defense had the photos. Defense will probably now ask for a delay so they can rebuild their own replica (since they didn't think of it before).

Maybe this trial will wrap up in time for Christmas. No problem. As long as it takes. It will go to the jury some day.

Is this what they were discussing on Friday when the jury was sent home? Or was that a closed hearing - and no body tweeted on this?

Question - ? Who is George Washington Wagner the 2nd - and who is the first one? Since Billy changed his - who were these people - anyone know? Just curious!

George Washington Wagner the 2nd is Billy's dad. He went by Bob. I assume George Washington Wagner the 1st is Billy's grandfather and that Billy was proud of the name and wanted to carry on the tradition. I posted the article where Billy changed his name from William to George Washington Wagner at age 15.

Now we know why he is called Billy. Then Billy named his own son George Washington Wagner the 4th so it just seems like he's proud of the family name.

George 4 decided to break with tradition and named his son something else. He probably won't get a chance to have more sons and stick to the name tradition. Probably be in prison for life is my guess. If found guilty of murder.

This is from my own reseach, and from past research from other posters but to know 100% for sure I would have to confirm everything with Fred. I don't think I will give Fred a call....lol

Looking at that picture it still boggles my mind how James Manley testified that he never saw that large barn, didn't know it had been built, when it obviously can be seen from the street, a street that he lives on less than a mile away. Maybe he wants us to believe that he only went on that street in one direction away from his house, or the sun was always in his eyes when he passed by that location, or ????

Thank you! Now - another question - why was the 2nd GGW called Bob - ?? Wonder if he changed his from Robert something... ??

Totally random thought, The Wags crazy idea of breaking out of prison by smashing in the walls leads me to believe that they were aware of the Marvin Heemeyer saga.

Hey there is no fender wells in this truck it is all squared in the bed, plenty of room for two men to fit, JMO

My son is as big as G4 and he could fit in there, in fact he does crawl into tight spaces. G4 was a mechanic, they crawl under vehicles all the time.

I've got a whole history. IDK why G3 changed his name but it was legal to do so and his parents allowed him. I've noticed that many times the youngest will have the name of the father. I have found record of a fourth child and wondered if it was a stillbirth, then G3 took the family name. @Cool Cats had the piece about him changing his name at 15, so my 4th child may have been him. The name didn't match up is the only reason I thought of a stillbirth. They've been in Ohio for decades.
What I have read was William(Billy GWIII) was so fond of his grandfather that he wanted to be named after him. His parents allowed him to legally change his name. MOO..

Size of that truck bed doesn't really matter. A 6'4" man doesn't need 6'4" of space to crawl into. Humans are quite flexible, it's not like shoving a 6' 4" 280# slab of rock in there.

It's just another weak defense ploy.

Church is just a building. Bad people are everywhere disguised as good people.
One of the biggest crooks in my county has a prayer chapel built on his property. It is open 24/7 for anyone to use.
I thought of it when I read that St. Granny had a church… MOO
