Had it been used that night, wouldn't there be some evidence of it at the crime scene at Chris Sr's home? If they were driving up, covered in hay bales, then climbed out to begin the shooting, wouldn't there be some hay bales lying around, or at least some hay strewn about?

There were a lot of cars, trucks, equipment, etc. in Chris's driveway and yard, but no hay that I can see. If they only used a small amount of hay, it might not show up on these photos, but bales or piles would

Absolutely. Good point! There would be hay floating up and down UHR road. They'd have had folks analyzing to see what kind it was, what direction it floated from, what freakin' fertilizer was in the ground! They used the hay to cover they fact they were building it. They had to have deconstructed it that night and quickly.

It does sound like a little like a Rube Goldberg invention. More complicated than necessary. Maybe a "meth" thing? IDK
Meth, vigilante wannabees, combined with total idiocy at every turn. HOW they managed to pull it off, is beyond me, other than G3's street smarts. The no phone condition. Him staying at his Mom's house. Splitting up the four into him taking care of Dad at least as a partial cover. They owned a nursing home/adult disability center. Bring a staff member over. AW wanted no part of it I'm sure (taking care of FIL). I don't think she'd even have taken care of her OWN father or mother. The hiding spot in the pickup is just pure ignorance.

One of the biggest crooks in my county has a prayer chapel built on his property. It is open 24/7 for anyone to use.
I thought of it when I read that St. Granny had a church… MOO
One of the biggest drug dealers in ours, Jm2, had a saintly wife for a cover. A dying breed of woman. His children he trained at his knee weren't so fortunate to find the same. Gone baby gone.

Like W-4 murder truck, does 24/7 chapel have false bottom?

Looking at that picture it still boggles my mind how James Manley testified that he never saw that large barn, didn't know it had been built, when it obviously can be seen from the street, a street that he lives on less than a mile away. Maybe he wants us to believe that he only went on that street in one direction away from his house, or the sun was always in his eyes when he passed by that location, or ????
Yeah... They wanted no part of the barn, nor being there in that room that day. Jm2

Note the length, the sticker, and the grill. This is an extended cab (I don't see any door handles on the back passenger seating area). The grill may be a junkyard grill, I'm having a bit of trouble finding one just like it on a 2010 Z71 off road. I want to know the specs on that bed and the overall body length. The angles are making it hard for me to measure and convert though. Anyone handy in that area?

Might find specs here

Totally random thought, The Wags crazy idea of breaking out of prison by smashing in the walls leads me to believe that they were aware of the Marvin Heemeyer saga.
Good thought. I had never seen this guy! Not to say you're wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me if these numbskulls saw it on a The Walking Dead scene or TWD video game. Let's us do THAT! Yeah! A bulldozer man!

Friday, AC said Jake told them they laid a 2x4 on edge, instead of laying it flat on the ledges in the pickup bed. That gave them 3 1/2" more headroom versus the 1 1/2" if it was laid flat.

They've had as much time to review their own reconstruction as defense. Literally w/in 24 hrs the defense had the photos. Defense will probably now ask for a delay so they can rebuild their own replica (since they didn't think of it before).

Maybe this trial will wrap up in time for Christmas. No problem. As long as it takes. It will go to the jury some day.
Rebuilding would take them having that truck. Finding another truck like that won't be easy. It's a 2000 and no wheel wells in the bed. They'd need that exact truck to build their own, along with the specs JW gave them. I doubt the Prosecution wished to give up the truck after JW led them to its location. I wonder if they're willing now?

What I have read was William(Billy GWIII) was so fond of his grandfather that he wanted to be named after him. His parents allowed him to legally change his name. MOO..
Very interesting. I have that his Grandpa was in fact a George W. and he was born in Elliott County, Ky. He died in Adams county Oh. His wife was from Greenup and died in Peebles. I'd not doubt the families have known each other in some way or other for generations.

@RAISINISBACK flew up for the trial. Said she was attending. Wonder if she's writing a book for us?

My s/o says this is a short-bed, just by vision. They're a lot better at spotting little differences and such than I. I have a short-bed and it's a bit less than 6'. Short bed can be between 5-6'. We are not large people but the two of us could fit under my tonneau when we put it on.

Size of that truck bed doesn't really matter. A 6'4" man doesn't need 6'4" of space to crawl into. Humans are quite flexible, it's not like shoving a 6' 4" 280# slab of rock in there.

It's just another weak defense ploy.
G4 is 6'4" ?

I figured he put in his request for lunch--his ticket.

No it wasn't a request. There was a photo on the Court screen showing the 2 pieces of paper. My eyes aren't very good just now so couldn't read them but I thought whoever it was said GW4 had refused 2 meals.

Im off now to see first night of I'm A Celebrity. Back to the jungle this year.

I don't know, just picked a random tall number. My son might be 6' 3".
My oldest grandson is 6' 4" and about 320, he could probably get in there. My second grandson is 6' and weighs about 240 and I think the both of them could get in there together. They are 22 and 21 so about the same age as the W boys at the time.
