I think the only reason she didn't want it referred to (or played) is if she couldn't question GW on it. That was my understanding of the ruckus at Opening Statements. Now that he has taken the stand, I just don't know... I missed the morning session.

I'm going to go out on a limb & guess all 4 of them lied in those interviews in Montana & she can prove it. JMO

Says his mom has paranoia issues. He said he believed Beth Ann would kidnap the kids and sell them to a sex cult in Texas. Also believed she was getting up in middle of night to unlock front door.

Now onto the night Tabby left the Peterson Road house - said Tabby bit him when he gave her a hug. Said her mother threatening to get gun and throwing board at her was a different event. Says his mother is lying about that night.

George says he calls police to get her help because of her issues. Took out complaint against her. Says he was asked if he wanted to press charges and he said no. But charges were filed.

Canepa hammers him again - "everybody is lying except you" "my brother and my mother are lying to you" - but he says he doesn't remember what he told agents at Montana border in 2017 - and can't explain why it doesn't coincide with what he is saying now about that night.

Tabby bit him when he "gave her a hug". Is that how he defines DV, as giving hugs?

I also wondered about his answer when Parker referenced the recording of him telling Jake "if it weren't for you telling the truth, we wouldn't be in this mess". GW4 said he was referring to Jake saying something derogatory to James Manley. GW4 had some extremely convoluted reason for why Jake was talking about the Manleys and not about the Wagners being suspects in the murders.

When he's lying, GW4 always has to blame someone else. He chose the Manleys that time and, JMO, it speaks to something really interesting. They tried to frame the Manleys for the murders, but lied about it. Projection. The Manleys were actually blaming the Wagners because they knew the facts behind the murders, the fights over custody, etc. It had nothing to do with Jake "telling the truth" about how messy the Manleys were.

GW4 is really lying and projecting his anger and actions onto others. Whatever rationale he gives for someone else doing something he's accused of, he's really talking about himself.

ETA: At the rate this trial process is going, they'll be lucky if they get to Billy's trial by next summer. ICBW, but I don't recall Billy's attorneys being such a PITA as P&N. They give the impression they're trying to help him avoid the DP and not acquittal like P&N are doing.

AC is not yet finished cross examination. Just before break, she was attempting to fluster GW4 into admitting that everyone else was lying except him.

Still doing illegal activities with his grandpa at an older age he was so close with! Grandpa was a drug dealer, then the family was living in his house after someone broke in shot and robbed him in that house over drugs! It wouldn't be Beth letting people in! Seem way to many to worry about from your grandpa's way of living and the whole family! Grandpa got him contacts for chopping cars??? OMG!

Watching live testimony: GW4 well-prepared and is holding up better than I expected under AC's questioning. Wonder if Prosecutor Andrew Wilson would have been the better choice to do the cross examination.

I don't see him holding up so well. He does well with the things he has a rehearsed answer for and then when AC mentions something that he said that didn't line up with what he said before he has an excuse for that.

I think for someone that has been taught to lie, cheat, steal, etc he has had a lot of practice "acting like he belongs somewhere, hide in plain sight" He is very similar to his mother. He admits to some wrongs, but it's always someone else's fault that he did those things. He then changed his ways, but he really didn't when confronted with what he's done since the magical date of change and he says those things are different. Okay. He doesn't recall when he went to bed that night, he said over 15 times he would have heard his dad and brother leave that night. They were watching a movie at the time they would have been off committing murders, but yet now we hear him say he went to bed about 10pm. Yet 1 year after the murders he said 1230 or so and his son was up until then, they watched a movie.. a nice family night at home with his dad who he hates and never was at the house until that night, but now he says his son went to bed about 10 unless he was wound up.

All those questions about Tabby and the June 7 date. Load of crap. He didn't want her to know because she's start her stuff again.. What stuff? Wanting to see him and bring her sisters or mother with her. What harm is it that they would come to HIS house with him watching? What could happen? His response, I might have to take a phone call or something. Come on. He isn't fooling many of us with that crap. And how nice he can blame so much on "because my lawyer said to do this"

His type are truly the scary ones.

Maybe she will play it after she gets all his answers that are lies out. Then see what he has to say. Maybe once they rest and then the defense rests she will offer rebuttal evidence and play that thing. To be fair the defense could have played it as well if it was something that would make George look good. They didn't choose to play it either, they just wanted to reference it to say that BCI wanted him to be a spy. Now after hearing what questions AC has asked about it, it sounds like they all had a rehearsed answer about movie night and what time that was. No way you can be watching a fairy movie with family and going to bed at 1230, but you NEVER heard anyone leave and you stated 15 times in the interview that you would have heard them leave.. if people were already murdered at 1230.

GW is pretty much sunk by the border interview. They are going by transcripts, I'm not sure the Jury needs to hear the tapes again. That sure would be icing on the cake though! IMO.

He said he took Tabatha to pay the fines, but he didn't know what they were for. That is so very interesting because I recall Tabatha saying she didn't realize they were for the assault either because she thought those charges were dropped and the defense tore her up about that.

My mom and brother have lied to you just like everyone else is. Just not you George. You would NEVER lie because you are the shining example of honesty, truth, and living an upstanding lifestyle... a nice tax paying, law abiding citizen.

He doesn't remember what he said at the border, but he remembers a whole heck of a lot of other random stuff from years before that and since then.

He didn't know his BEST FRIENDS fiancé or the name of his 6 month old baby. He would have been seeing Hanna Hazel for at least 9 months before the baby was born so let's just say over a year he had this girlfriend and his best friend didn't know her. He last remembered his "best friend" talking to a girl that came BEFORE he even was talking to Chelsea.. the same Chelsea that he had a 3 year old with. They were just the best friends and he was tore up about it wasn't he so tore up he didn't know anything about his life for the last what 4+ years.
