I can't agree more. G4 admits he and his family have been criminals, dishonest and lied all of their lives.

But he expects the jury to believe just this one and only time, he and his family are telling the truth and innocent of murder.

IMO, A Leopard never changes it's spots nor it's motive...

It goes even deeper than this. He wants the jury and all focused on this trial to believe the murders is the only instance where he wasn't given a vote at the table. He was involved in all the stealing and cheating. A proud pop taught him how to be a thieving punk. But for whatever reason the 3 stooges didn't involve the 4th stooge in the murders. Some may be naive enough to believe the narrative parker and nash are spewing but I ain't one of them.

According to Beth (who, btw, was actually believable) they all loaded up and went pretty much everywhere together, Walmart, the corner store, the gas station.

The night Tabi ran away, who went to the store? Angela, Hanna, the kids, Jake & George.

George was on Union Hill Rd. that night.

Canepa certainly could not break him. So maybe what he is saying is the truth.

But she didn't prove he was lying. He asked for a transcript of the interview to refresh his memory. She refused to give him one. Could it be because they don't have a tape of it? remember BCI Ryan saying he was using a video camera but didn't know how to operate it and turned it off accidently? I think Canepa is lying about stuff he supposedly said trying to trip him up. But he is staying with her and telling her he doesn't remember saying that. She lets it go. I think because she cannot prove him wrong and is relying on Ryan S's memory of the interview. Plus there is that second BCI agent who was in the room for the interview that is on the defense witness list. What will he remember?

One very interesting thing. Near the end of her cross, she is talking about MT and George says he remembered telling BCI agents his father was just a big teddy bear. Either Junk or Superman very loudly told Canepa to "Shut up". She did and went another direction with her questions. What was up with that?

Agree she asked one question and he then tried to clarify with whatever question he wanted to answer and she again repeated her question and then he answered the one he wanted to answer. Then she said the difference in you and Jake is he tells the truth and you don't. He said when we were kids.

To be fair, the deal with AW was a team effort. The multiple perps has made it difficult to organize any plea deals.

a better way of phrasing my problem with the aw deal- her testimony had verry little impact because she and jake both say she was not at the scene. with the ridiculous denial details g4 is using with his lawyers, this gives aw testimony almost zero net advantage for prosecution. furthermore there is so much evidence of angela instigating these murders and acting like a looney tune. shes lies like she breathes. now im on jury and the state is telling me this lady got all these people killed lies all the time, and yet we should believe her about what happened at crime scenes even tho she was not there. admitting all these facts just seems the soften the case to me. this was a horrendous crime and the prosecution sleep walked thru their evidence. no passion. like in canepas opening talking about the victims she throws up a timeline of the night of their death without any humanizing information. too rigid. i just hate seeing angela get away with this and in my mind she did. i truly think if angela was given the choice to kill all the rhodens for 30 years she would do it again.

Without a doubt in my mind she got a sweetheart deal. I can only hope she receives prison justice. She earned it. BW is #2 on my list. These two deserve life for the way they admittedly raised their children to be thieving punks and murderers. Im on the fence as to whether 4 actually killed anyone. I AM NOT ON THE FENCE about his involvement in all aspects from planning to cover-up. GW4 was/is a lot of things but a goody two shoe isn't one of them, as he has apparently convinced the naive. I do remember those commercials. That is the exact same thing I said. Where's the beef? There is no substance to the states case against George. When Canepa asked him what should happen to someone who would kill 8 innocent people , two of them nursing mothers, you could see the feverent anger in Georges face when he said "Anyone who did this should be given death," You could tell he meant every word of it. Powerful statement in view that his brother and mother have confessed to doing it.

How did she contradict him? Did she offer proof? Did she offer a transcript of the interview to prove she was telling the truth and he was lying? Did she offer to play his MT interview so the jury and us could all hear what he said out of his own mouth to prove he is lying?

Just curious how you think Canepa contradicted him with his own words when she refused to play the tape with his own words on it for everyone to hear and refused to produce a transcript for him to read out loud.

I think they have no MT tape of his interview. That is the one that BCI Ryan messed up because he clearly did not know how to operate a video camera MHP gave him. I think Canepa was going off what BCI Ryan said was George's answers. In short Canepa tried to pull a bluff on George and lost.

No I think the answer she got floored her because she knew he was taking a jab at Jake and Angie not getting the DP over killing 8 innocent people. She arranged for them not to get it so the blame for them not being on death row falls on her and she knows it.

*Judge & Attorneys (@ 8am ET) & Trial continues with jury (Day 45) (@ 1pm ET) - OH - Pike County 8 people dead: Christopher Rhoden, Sr. (40), his ex-wife, Dana Manley Rhoden (37), their three children, Clarence "Frankie" Rhoden (20), Christopher Jr. (16), Hanna Mae (19); Frankie's fiancée, Hannah Hazel Gilley (20), Christopher Rhoden Sr.'s brother, Kenneth Rhoden (44), & a cousin, Gary Rhoden (37). Hanna Rhoden's baby girl (5 days old), another baby (6 mos.) & a young child (3) were unharmed. (April 21-22, 2016, Pebbles) – for *George Washington Wagner IV (27/now 31) (Jakes’ bro) indicted (11/12/18), arrested (11/13/18), charged (11/15/18) & arraigned (11/28/18) with 8 counts aggravated murder, (plus gun specifications on each), 1 count of 1st degree conspiracy, 4 counts of 1st degree aggravated burglary, 1 count of 5th degree unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance, 3 counts of 3rd degree evidence tampering, 1 count of 5th degree forgery, 1 count of 5th degree unauthorized use of computer or telecommunications, 1 count of 4th degree interception of wire, oral or electronic communication, 1 count of 5th degree obstructing justice, & 1 count of 1st degree engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. Plead not guilty. Held without bond. DA will seek the DP. Per Jake’s plea agreement, DP is off the table only for Jake if his testimony is truthful. But George still faces the DP as he did not take a deal.
Trial began on 8/29/22 with final jury selection & the jury was seated on 8/30/22. 12 Jurors & 6 alternates. Jury: (9 women & 3 men) & 6 alternates: (5 women & 1 man). 9/30/22: Ill juror replaced with alternate. 12 jurors & 5 alternates. Jury: (9 women & 3 men) & 5 alternates (4 women & 1 man). A few are in their late 20s or 30s, but most are in their 40s or 50s.
Trial began with opening statements on Monday, 9/12/22. (Trial is scheduled for 8 to 9 weeks (56-63 days). State rested their case on 11/10/22.

They are reviewing more exhibits tonight. They also might remove death penalty specifications from George since Jake testified - that would remove requirement of jury being sequestered as a death penalty case.
Jury to return at 1pm tomorrow Friday, 11/18/22. Judge & attorneys will work on entering evidence in the morning before that. Judge tells jury we'll have schedule set tomorrow & it could be a short day. Judge & attorneys will pick back up tomorrow at 8:00am.

My opinion was they didn't play it because they didn't want the murderer to have a heads-up on his previous statements. They used it to prove 4 was a liar, and they were successful
