Then, the alleged lenders of those "thousands of dollars" should be smacked upside their heads for continuing to enable him.

The "position of authority" is the problem. He's the boss. If my boss had asked me to borrow money, it would have put me in a difficult position. Office politics can be brutal.

Embarrassing. Very. I'd be peeved. It's someone who knows him well enough to know that he has a small safe in his office, with money inside, a vehicle debt, and the dealership owner's gf, who was Reader's secretary, had an affair with Reader. I could be wrong, and probably am, but could it be that the operative words here are was and had?
I didn’t understand the $20000 to L heck I owe for a vehicle or two what is that about? Jmo

Jmo but I said the other day not looking good. What’s to say le didn’t do a little drop here and a pick up there. Bci May have been in charge but Reader and his team was at the sites searched. Jmo

Pure supposition and bologna.

I think the complaint is more effective if signed. A lot of times no credence is lent to anonymous complaints.
Jmo but based on that complaint I would think it would have stayed a internal investigation prior to this coming out. but maybe that’s how it works when it’s the sheriff, I don’t know. Does anyone know how that works?jmo

Wow. Is this the W's revenge? If so he was hit with some serious charges. Does Ohio have legal gambling? Are there casinos near there or in Ohio at all? How about KY or WV?
Raceinos and Casinos in Ohio. Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, I believe...

Don’t think it is the borrowing from employee you know what I mean at least that is the rumor

THEN WHY ARE WE DISCUSSING

ANONYMOUS COMPLAINTS. (No guts or honesty to sign them) And blasted rumors??????

  • #129
Anything is possible but it sounds like a smear campaign to me...
Sounds like a pissed off mistress to me.... Of course a sheriff keeps a safe in his office. Do you expect him to run down the hall every time he needs something...like an extra weapon, ammo, petty cash, badges and confidential memos? And "drum roll please"***** If he had so much cash available in his safe from skimming drug money, why would he have to borrow anything from an employee???????

Jumping off of Trudie's post #120;

I know we keep beating this horse, but, this reads like they were actually at an individual's home, discussing this in front of a human;

In court, prosecutors revealed information they say came from a confidential informant. They said FWagner and the four murder suspects were at her house discussing revenge should anyone be arrested.

Court docs: Suspect filed for custody of child at heart of Pike County investigation days after slayings

I pulled up the vid from FW's arraignment and the lawyer for the prosecution, states that the CI info came from conversation(s) held in FW's home. She states that FW was present, as well as G3, in addition to the other three co-defendants. So whatever they have, it appears that they got it, from a meeting(s) at FW's home.

Could be, but if he did do wrong don’t think a defense team won’t try to use it. Jmo

I don’t think this is the correct venue because it from some chicken _______
Person who can’t verify the veracity or facts of the complaint. A two year old can make up a story.

I keep black electrical tape over my laptop camera and the speaker. I do not do Skype, etc... My kids are wired up! Alexa do this or that. Big ole nope for me.

No way I'd have Alexa or any of the devices in my house. They can even hack baby monitor cams now. They are concerned about pacemakers and insulin pumps getting hacked. There is no device that connects to the internet safe from hackers...

I agree a story can be made up and that is probably why it is being investigated to make sure Jmo but not all anonymous tips or complaints are false.

I don't know if they are saying that he didn't pay the man, or, and this is just my take, I think they are saying; He owes that poor man $20k for a vehicle, but was cattin' around on his own wife, with the owner of the dealership's gf, who happened to be Reader's secretary. :eek: In other words, poor taste all the way around (and on both parties).

Really. It sounds like the author of said complaint is quite “common”, perhaps jealous as well. The safe is the most logical place to keep money, the entire dept can’t have access to the safe, if that’s the case there’s no earthly reason for a safe. And if his employee has the spare funds to dole out, it’s really his biz.

This is wild! I had no idea.

We might want to be clear here;

The prosecutor used the term

CONFIDENTIAL SOURCE

NOT INFORMANT.

that source could be an informant, but it can also be wiretapps, recordings or other evidence which at the moment is all confidential. It could’ve reverse electronic monitoring or anything the prosecution wants to remain confidential until it has to be turned over in discovery. If it has to be turned over.

Maybe public because he’s an elected official? Idk. Just guessing.

I know. Several of us read about Jake getting married. I swear I saw a pic of him and his gf, bride, whatever she was at that time. Now....nothing.

And I know eithervDeWine or Reader said something like “.......and you thought moving to Alaska would.......but we were ready for you.” It was during a presser. Now, I can’t find it. Despite wasting good hours of my life searching.

They were very prepared.

It used to be once a wire tap warrant (or similar interception of conversations) expired, every party would get a certified letter advising their convo had been intercepted by a third party. Each call was itemized. So, if their phones were “bugged”, each person they talked with should be getting a letter. Is this not the case these days, if anyone knows?
