Anyone seeing coverage for GW4's hearing yet? I'm watching WKRC, hopefully they will cover it. It's a lot of work on the part of the tv reporters. They have to drive a couple hours over to Piketon, then sit for an hour or so waiting for the hearing, which then lasts about 5 minutes.

It seems there's some big daytime basketball game going on that everyone is covering. IDK.

Not that I can tell. Just did a search of his name on Twitter and came up with nothing recent.

Ok, so we're coming up on an hour past the scheduled start time. Assume this hearing will also be very short.

Ok, they're ready. IDK, bailiff or someone came out and said something to the video journalist. Guy looked like my uncle. I must have distant relatives down there.

George IV dressed up nice in plaid shirt and vest.

Set discovery deadline of June 1, 2019. Bill of particulars, still don't have it, but hope to get it. No need for court order. Satisfied with the time it's taking.

Demand for discovery re DNA - State doesn't think DNA evdience will be used against their client. Satisfied with statements. State had referenced 2 items of DNA in previous discovery. Court grants street clothing and no visible restraints, though done already.

Asking GW4 if he's seeing attorneys enough and is he happy with them. He says all is ok. His attorney doesn't like where he's being held now. Wants to go back to solitary. Relayed to Ross Co Sheriff. Has to do with construction.

May 23, schedule for another pretrial. Nothing more to add. Adjourn.

Not sure if I heard the Bible part, but yeah, he wants to go back to solitary.

I thought that was him, but wasn't sure.

Yes, Geneva is amazing the way she manages to attend all these hearings. So glad she's there to remind them all that the Wagners killed so much of her family - children and grandchildren, leaving gr-grandchildren without parents. Always good to hear Len Manley's cackle from the back when he's chatting after the hearing. So much these people have been through. They don't, have much in the way of material things, but are so strong.

If he's out with the other prisoners now, maybe he's catching some flak from them. Maybe he'd rather be in solitary than spend every day having people remind him of what a horrible crime he committed.

I definitely heard GW4 attorney say GW4 wishes to go back to solitary to read his bible but the rest of the attorney's sentence was harder to ear. Attorney stated that GW4 is very pleased with the treatment he is receiving, isn't having any problems at the jail...he just would prefer to be back in solitary.

The article mentions GW4 also wore street clothes in his last court appearance. Judge Deering only today granted him permission to wear street clothes, even though he's already worn them twice before. Judge Deering said nothing about GW4 flouting the rules. I'm not comfortable with Judge Deering allowing the defendants and their attorneys to do as they wish in court. He's been too lenient and somewhat obsequious towards all the Wagners. It's unusual, isn't it? Do judges normally allow defendants in murder trials to break the rules WRT dress and demeanor?

Is he doing this because Wagners were always considered the "rich folks" in town? Does he offer the same deferential treatment to the local drug addicts and DUI defendants, too?
