I'm thinking AW is wearing jail garb in court because she don't like how she looks in street clothes while wearing the vest. Maybe later on someone will find her clothes that are baggy/loose fitting and more to her liking.

Certain types of clothing could make it very visible. No one on the defense side wants folks to focus on the restraints (nor the huge horizontal stripes or bright orange jumpsuits).

My theory is she is not the informant. I believe the informant incident(s) happened before the AK trip or possibly more than once, I’m sure. It’s jmo but I’m wondering if her SS# was needed to restart utilities OR, better yet, possibly to open a cc in her name.

JMO, but I've always thought that this could be referring to an actual request to change her last name to W after the marriage. The other thing listed under her name is an actual report filed by her. Just thoughts. I do think AW was involved in both.

I think the control of children is a blanket statement meaning that this is the type of family that when they have children, any children whether it's Jake/George as kids or now the grandkids, they want complete decision making power. An EX can visit, but has no decision making rights.

This started with Fred and Bob (GW2) isolating and controlling their children and then controlling them with money as adults. Then Billy and Angela do the same, isolating and controlling their children, and then also controlling them through money and property as adults (Peterson Rd. house was put in their name). Now you have 5 controlling adults all focused on 2 children.

These 5 controlling people: Fred, Billy, Angie, George4 and Jake are now wanting control...ie...total decision making power--- over the 2 children--- and it was dynamite waiting to go off.....AND IT WENT OFF.

Even if Fred did not know about the murder plan I believe that she egged Jake and the others on about Jake getting full custody and how this, as Jake puts it, "is in Sophie's best interest"........My 2 Cents........

I had posted earlier and had asked why gw3 only had a 7th grade education. Gw2 was the son involved in the fire rescue of litlle boy blue and FW was quoted as saying I almost lost my son. Did Gw2 not go to college where he met his wife as she has stated. I bet Gw2 was tired of being controlled. Was it really a legitimate barn fire or a way to collect insurance money. Gw2 got out of being controlled and started his own horse farm. but looks like Gw3 never did stop being controlled. Why would a rich FW not help Gw3 get past a 7th grade education?contol?moo

He's SKEEEEERED..... as he should be.

And, as someone before mentioned, look at the stink eye coming from GR. She looked at GW3 like that too.

Since you mention it, I thought you might like to see these again.
Miss Geneva, Junk, and Angela Canepa...A picture is worth a thousand words.....

What's everyone's thoughts on "why" FW and Owen went public? Could it be to help justify AW's motion of change venue? Or what reason? They seemed to get in a big hurry all of a sudden. No, I retract that statement. From reading AC's response, I think FW and Owen planned and played the public display down to just minutes before the Court closed on Friday the 15th. JMO

I have another question that maybe someone local could answer. Which jail is worst out of the four where the W's are incarcerated? I'm wondering, in terms of safety, mainly.

I don't see him expressing remorse, at least not yet. His need to allegedly read a Bible, if anything, shows he regrets putting himself in his current situation. JMO, any guilt he might feel is for the way he's left his child without a parent for the time being. He's not sorry he killed the Rhodens & Hannah Gilley, he's just sorry he was caught.

The nature and extent of the Rhoden/Gilley massacre betrays a warped and persistent form of sociopathy/psychopathy. The murders required so much planning and detailed execution that the killers could have stopped or changed their mind many, many times. Methodically slaughtering people (mostly) sleeping in their beds and removing evidence as they moved from one home to the next and the next reveals a dedication and commitment to the crime that didn't cool down between the murders. Given time between murders to reflect on the brutal massacre of their friends, GW4 and the others chose to keep going, to drive to the next home again and again.

Sociopaths and psychopaths are usually adept at compartmentalizing their feelings and relationships. They're capable of feeling empathy and concern for some people while murdering others. Maybe it comes from the ability to "other" victims - to dehumanize them. The violent movie they were fans of helped in that process.

All JMO.

I think all 6 of them are sorry they got caught.

I do LOVE Miss Geneva! There's a young pic of her on Clarence Rhoden's Find a Grave page.... CRSR looks just like his daddy. (Sorry y'all... couldn't copy and paste).

Thanks, for the reference. Here's a link. Love this photo. They were a cute young couple. Sad their marriage fell apart, but Geneva did the right thing. She seems to be a strong woman, loved by her children. I have great admiration for her.

Hope the family doesn't mind us posting this here. Geneva has that 60's hair so many women wore. Loretta Lynn style.

Clarence looks like he had a fast car, not sure what type. Can anyone else tell? GTO or something similar?

They wanted to

  • gain sympathy from any potential jury pool,
  • pretend they are religious
  • most of all, wanted to discredit the prosecution to make it seem as though they were dishonest and incompetent
It was bold, wrong, highly unethical and a very questionable move on the part of the Plain Dealer to report the whole thing. I can't believe they sent reporters, camera person, etc all the way down to Lucasville to allow St. Fred and her attorney to use them in such a scheme. Note, none of the other major daily newspapers in Ohio took the bait. I hope greater Cleveland gets a new daily newspaper, one that's better than the PD.

Ross County jail where GW4 is. Leaking roof in rec area, too much mandatory overtime, shortage of room, stalled construction, building materials left all over, etc........
Leaks, mold, in rec area.......

.....(EDIT)......

Columbus contractor defaults on over $14 million in taxpayer projects

CHILLICOTHE - A Columbus-based construction firm has voluntarily defaulted on at least three taxpayer funded projects with combined costs of over $14 million.

The USA Today Network- Ohio has confirmed Palmetto Construction has quit three public projects — a jail in Ross County, a Reynoldsburg fire department and a state park visitors center — with combined costs of over $14 million and about $5.6 million already paid to Palmetto.

Ongoing problems
For months, the mere mention of the Ross County Jail project to most anyone with the sheriff's or county commissioners offices was guaranteed to get a disgruntled response, an agitated sigh.

The project was primarily focused on updates such as new locks and doors for cells as well as needed maintenance like replacing the roof. The plans also included creating a new, larger infirmary.
It was supposed to be done on Oct. 30, 2018, but as of December, the project was a full year behind.
"We have several things that were started, the roof, masonry work on the outside ... We figure maybe only a quarter of it is done," said Ross County Commissioner Doug Corcoran.

IMO, even though he smiles and laughs, I believe he is nervous and naive. I think he has been brain-washed by the rest of the Wags to believe everything will be okay if we stick to the plan. He has, in essence, lived a sheltered life with mom, dad & granny looking out for his best interests and the family is going through this with him. Add to that an attorney that believes he can get JW off and you have the perfect recipe for a immature, cocky 26 y.o. that doesn’t have a clue of what’s really about to happen. It would be interesting to see his reaction if he alone was facing these charges.

I'm not so sure. He's 26, after all, who has spent a few years working as an over the road truck driver. He's likely traveled extensively in the US, met a lot of people. Like everyone else his age, he's grown up on computers, had access to the internet and social media, has learned a great deal. He's no babe in the woods.

Thanks SO much Betty P!

Thank you for mentioning the photo and where to find it! I really like it. Reminds me of my mom and her family, friends.

Our vests in the military were quick and easy to switch out. Doing some catching up. What is the big deal w/ the plates? FW replaced them?

Possibly with ones manufactured later.

IMO, Ross County Jail still isn't the "worst" in terms of safety. The one article is for one of the local prisons that had the fentanyl exposure not county jail. J/S.

Just lovely.

Time to follow the money.

While Evans has no confirmation from Palmetto, which also has locations in other states including Florida, it's certainly the impression being left behind and quite the opposite from less than a year ago when Palmetto was noted for its growth.

This sounds familiar. Wonder how many Ohio pols have made trips to Florida to visit their contractor friend?

While the Ohio Attorney General's Office confirmed they're involved "in relation" to the Palmetto Construction issues, they declined disclosing specific details of their involvement due to the ongoing work, spokesman Dominic Binkley said via email, specifically mentioning the OSU and Hocking Hills projects.

BBM

All the familiar players in all the familiar places..

Farmers Insurance filed an 80-page lawsuit (including exhibits) against Palmetto on Feb. 19 in Medina County Common Pleas Court. According to the complaint, Farmers has made $568,619.55 in bonded loss payments and "anticipates additional losses."

Maybe she thought he'd never need more education working for her but that didn't work out real good for some reason...
