Thanks for that clarification. Agree. I couldn't hear exactly what she was saying when she was talking about the PO Box numbers. Her voice goes low sometimes and she talks fast.

Yes, that's interesting. Someone ordered the ceramic plates and they came to the PO Box that is used for both the church and Flying W Farm.

Fredericka Wagner back in court in Pike County. State plans to demand a gag order today (they had already asked for one initially but judge had never ruled.) Now, after Wagner gave a wide-reaching interview to the Plain Dealer, prosecutors put the gag order request in writing.

Jim Owen said evidence shows that one of the two bulletproof vests Fredericka Wagner bought has stamped on it a date of manufacturer AFTER the Rhoden homicides. He says she bought the vests b/c Sheriff Reader told the community to "arm yourselves."

Attorney Jim Owen arguing that they have receipts that show Fredericka Wagner purchased 2 bulletproof vests on May 7, more than two weeks AFTER the Rhoden murders. So the charges against her should be immediately dismissed, he said.

Yeah, he's a liar, JMO. He's trying to spin it, though. But he knows. If he doesn't he had no place filing the motion to dismiss. I had the same impression of his argument saying he had a legal basis to ask for dismissal before the trial and before all evidence was presented. He knew he wasn't allowed to do that, but kind of lied and made it seem like he had the right to do so.

ETA: It's more like Owens is doing what I guessed after the news article ran - he's telling half-truths. He tells a little bit of something that's factual, then mixes it with other information that he implies is also factual, but is untrue or unknown.

AC pretty much called him a liar when he said the manufacture date was on the vests themselves...twice, saying that is incorrect or that is not accurate. That's what I heard

Yes, she did. I was transcribing in real time and didn't hear exactly what she said, so didn't want to say anything too bombastic if I wasn't sure. But yes, she pretty much called him a liar. She mentioned the ceramic plates, I assume she meant that the plates had a later date, not the vest. Not sure.

What did everyone think of him mentioning the Oxygen special. He mentioned it, but didn't link it to any particular argument. It's like he just wanted to publicize it. Some of the trailers for the special have some quotes from defense attorneys. Oxygen may want to review what they're running before show day. If they assumed some of these defense attorneys weren't lying, they figured wrong.

I took one quick glace and saw what looked like FW giving AC the evil eye. I'm going to go back and watch the video once it's posted. I was just listening to the audio while I took notes.

FW has had local LE and courts wrapped around her finger for decades. She's one of the wealthiest, most powerful people in the county. She's not used to anyone in the courts challenging her or fighting back. She mad.

I think he mentioned the Oxygen Network show just to get it on the record that the current AG participated somehow, interviewed about the cost of trials at the least. FW's lawyer wants it both ways, he wants the freedom to get things out in the media but curtail the state from doing the same.
Maybe the reason why he mentioned it in court today and the reason it was delayed in airing are closely tied. Maybe he contacted Oxygen to be included in the show...since the state was.
