I think it was listed, with the detail pages that included the BPVs [FWF search]. I remember a picture of a blue one but that was probably just an example, not the actual discovery.

media and timeline page 13, post 249 has the picture in the bathroom of the bullet proof vests and the blue phone lineman's tool

In this little lull period, I went back and was rereading some Timeline and Media Events. Thank you, Betty!!

Some things stood out to me from various articles:

1. The red truck. JM was arrested because the Feds require an arrest "when a witness destroys such a device used in a government investigation." Look back on page 1 of this thread regarding James Manley arrest. Note: I do not think he was involved in the murders. I remember discussion of a person on AWs discovery phone list, having owned this truck. JMO !!

2. Rhodens shot in head at point-blank range

This article was dated in Sept 2018, I had forgotten it was only about 2 months away from the arrests in November.

This article says 7 of the 8 victims were shot with guns touching or very close to their heads.

Question: Did the silencer also touch their heads? This really shows my ignorance about the subject, which is why I have to ask. Ok, so lost my place in the Timeline....

Next, and best thing to be unveiled...Oct 30, 2018, BINGO. Silencer parts found and sent to BCI.

IMO, the autopsies finally opened a door they had not seen.

IMO, all except KR, did suffer real execution style shootings, on their knees, shot in the back of their heads, IMO only, while they were still alive.

All Just my opinion only, and very, very respectively in search of Justice for each of the victims.

Well, the unredacted, preliminary autopsy reports that were released to the news media in 2018 were a revelation to the public and news media. But LE had access to those reports a few hours after the murders.

Agree, something at the crime scenes tipped them off to the killers having silencers on their guns. They probably knew that from the beginning. IDK why they needed that silencer part as the "final piece of the puzzle" as DeWine called it.

Given the voluminous amount of evidence prosecutors have been turning over to the defense attorneys in discovery, JMO, they already had enough to arrest the W's and win. Not sure why DeWine felt they had to wait until they found a silencer part, but they did.

About the Rhodens being shot execution style while kneeling, etc. I'm not sure? Reports have always been that most were shot in their sleep. BJM said FR and HG were in bed with the baby between them. News reports said HMR's baby was sleeping with her.

TY, Betty.

Just sharing my thoughts only, as all do.

Yeah, I know. I considered that scenario once, too. This case has been difficult to follow with so little information made public.

Yes, it has, especially by a total outsider like me.

This news report from WLWT5 Cincinnati, provides information on the location(s) where each victim was shot, and the number of times.

Check the front page of this thread for a link to "Media & Timelines" thread. You'll find many of them posted there, along with links to some that were posted in online files. Hope that helps!
I did look there before posting and just now went back and looked again but still didn't find the discovery link. I will try another thread.

And it was processed by OCIC - Organized Crime Investigations Commission

https://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov...ons/Organized-Crime-Investigations-Commission

Audio/Visual Technical Expertise
OCIC supports local law enforcement by providing advanced audio/visual restoration and enhancement. Using sophisticated software and training, the OCIC’s A/V experts provide: forensic audio and video analysis, tape authenticity, forensic animation (producing 3D reconstructions of a crime scene and 3D still prints), reconstruction of damaged tapes, digital prints, analog and digital audio and video duplication, and format changes. OCIC may also lend assistance with criminal intelligence analysis and clerical support

Here's a YouTube video of someone showing how some software is used to enhance security video. Pretty sure, JMO, the enhanced video was from security video.

Another video demonstrating someone using software to enhance night time security video. Pretty amazing what they can do

All JMO, I've no idea of whether this is the kind of enhancement done or what LE was looking at. Just some possibilities as these are typical types of forensic work done with DVR enhancements. They're the first things that pop up if you do a google search.

Who knows what they picked up on the various cameras listed in the discovery. Could be anything from faces of people to automobiles, weapons, shoes, etc.

Yes, those are amazing! It will really help in the courtroom. It's going to be complicated with so many crime scenes and victims, but these kind of tools will make it easier for the state to explain to jurors what happened in each place, possibly even the vehicle(s) used, who sat in which seat, who transferred a victims (or their own) blood on a car seat or armrest, etc. I'm just theorizing here, but I do recall them doing a FARO scan of one of the W family automobiles.

It's also another reason why the digital evidence files are so large for each defendant. Because they all likely moved together that night, the same files, enhanced surveillance video, FARO scans, etc. for all 8 murders have to be transferred to each of the 4 defendants.

Also, don't forget the audio evidence - voicemail messages, cell phone calls, other kinds of recordings. I wonder if any audio files were enhanced, any background noise or conversations? Remember when we were wondering if the W4 stayed in that hotel in Scioto county before leaving for AK? Wonder if LE bugged the room or used some other kind of remote recording devices to pick up conversations?

ETA: WRT the enhanced video, it appears LE experts could enhance and view quite a lot from trail cams, etc., not just security cams, say at CR1's and KR's or at Walmart.

Wonder if there was cell phone video? Wonder if any of the killers decided to take video or photos of their own? Shudder. I hope not, but this case has been full of all kinds of strange stuff.

All JMO, MOO

Thanks, Mittens! Same to you. We've had a lot of good contributors here.
Been traveling with kids to swim tournaments for my twins so catching up, Betty P am I understanding right that GW4 is going to trial first? If so I thought whomever they had the best chance to convict would go first and it seems he’s has the least amount of evidence. What are your thoughts? I honestly felt Jake or his dad would go first. JMO of course

Angela looks like she has a bruise on her neck and a scratch on her cheek. Her hair is messy and unwashed, unlike before when her hair looked well kept. One sign of depression is to stop taking care of yourself.

Of course most anyone would be depressed in jail but she looks more depressed than she did at the March hearing. Only my guess. And it's just my guess that she is coming to grips with all this Discovery Evidence and it's depressing for her. 4 more Terabytes!

What will she tell her attorneys about going all over central Ohio to all those different Walmarts? Didn't she realize what she was doing? It would have been better to have stuck to one Walmart. Better to not go to Walmart and use a disguise and pay in cash. They didn't think about the "before" did they? Only the crime scenes and getting rid of their things and the Rhoden's things after the crime.

Why didn't they wait longer, a year or more, before causing carnage? What was it about April 2016? To me it's obvious that HR was a main target because they waited for her to have her baby, then struck only 4 days later...
I agree, she looks tired and worn this time.

Two-way radio is reasonable for people traveling in a group of vehicles through Canada because there are hundreds and hundreds of miles without cell towers. Usually there's only cell service near larger cities. Even if a motel, RV park or small town offers wi-fi, it's spotty service or quite limited, and often expensive.

Members have previously discussed how limited cell service is in southern Ohio, so CB radio and two-way radio use may be very common around there.
I showed horses when I was younger & we traveled in groups of 2-4. We used the 2 way & CB because of spotty service and CB to communicate w truckers about traffic/weather etc

Interesting post! Yes the hotel could have
been bugged. They had previously obtained search warrants for Peterson Rd. and Flying W Farm and the property where trailers were stored and where Jake worked fixing cars occasionally. No doubt they could get more search warrants.

If you find the article on the FARO scan of a Wagner family vehicle please post.
I agree, voice recordings and having to transfer evidence to 4 defendants definitely adds up. And yes, I imagine any cell phone still-photos/videos can be enhanced, along with any photo from any device, including the video from neighbors and businesses and the UHR Church even turned over a video.

Here's mention in the evidence of Jake's truck but it doesn't say FARO scan, also listed is a
WVSP Forensic Laboratory Report (3 pp)

Abbreviation is WVSP
West Virginia State Police (WVSP) Digital Forensics Unit Turns 10.
West Virginia State Police:

The West Virginia State Police Digital Forensics Unit officially opened its doors on March 29, 2002 with a one room laboratory on the campus of West Virginia University (WVU).

I really don't know. It's also possible we haven't seen all the evidence for his case. I noticed in the last batch of discovery docs, it does list lab files for DNA testing. Not sure if this meant he matched some evidence or not. I also considered whether he was going to be the first to take a plea deal. IDK. Most of his pre-trial hearings have been short and uneventful. Perhaps the attorneys are wanting to save the more complex cases until last.
