OK, reading the first part of that isn't what I would think of as "sophisticated". I would consider sophisticated as completely covering your tracks.

That isn't it. I couldn't commit the sophisticated crime they have made this seem like. The way they have talked, which has been little, sounds professional.

According to Leonard Manley, when Bobby Jo showed up last Friday morning, the front door was locked and the dogs were nowhere to be found. There were at least two pit bulls and a “wolf-dog” and “coon dogs” that lived with his family members. Manley questioned why the killer or killers didn’t shoot the dogs, which he described as fierce.

Manley said bodies will be released to the funeral home Tuesday morning. A motorcycle club will escort them the roughly 60 miles home back to Pike County, where they will be laid out each in a casket side-by-side for the funeral service.

Chris and Dana and their three children will be buried together.

“One funeral,” Manley said. “is enough.”

After spending the past 2 hours on FB, I agree with you carbuff.
Can I just say, (and this is not directed in anyway at you carbuff,) that if one is trying to fly below the radar,
it is not wise to list various electronics, guns, roosters and such for sale or trade (on a continual basis) on FB?
NOT TO MENTION: requiring the potential purchaser's to pick up at a location different from your own county/town? But where other family or significant other's or significant others
of family/friends live....

I think they are using "sophisticated" in a different way than most of us are thinking. That is the very thing that took me away from a family or family friend connected perp. At first I thought murder/suicide until they said none had self inflicted wounds. Then I went to someone very close to the family until this "sophisticated" stuff.

I'm still wondering if there is a child of Dana and Chris that is living. I've seen some things said about this by some family members. They could have been confused and meant the brother of Dana, but they were pretty specific. It's all rumor, maybe nothing to it, but she said something pretty direct which could explain many things.

Very plausible.

Could be that the 'someones' came up with Gary because they are originally from the area and 'wanted to go to the festival' while Gary visited his family. Drive up together to save on gas. They hid out in the woods instead (because the festival was an excuse) and struck during the night. Hence no evidence of them having been at the homes and no tire tracks. Hiding out by the homes also gave them time to observe the area and possibly the movements of the Rhodens. They may have still been familiar with the dogs because they used to hang out there often before they moved.

Do we know the transportation Gary took from Kentucky?

Neither the what transportation was used or if they left tire tracks or not have not been said by any authorities. I suspect that they were with Gary as if they'd hidden in the woods, they likely wouldn't have been introduced to Dana/Hanna/Chris Jr. and wouldn't have had to kill them.

Always go with the simplest explanation. They came up to buy weed from their "friend" Gary's cousin who grows really good stuff. Came with Gary because Chris would likely be a bit paranoid of them if he didn't know them real well, but he trusts Gary and Gary has brought these evil someone(s) with him before once or twice. The dogs were put up so they wouldn't bite the "customers".

Or the dogs were put away because Chris/Gary knew them. There would be no alarm

Yeah we have discussed that bust that concerned the hash oil. This is all confusing.

Or there was a key hidden outside that they found. I'm more north in Ohio but that still gets done frequently around here. Or hiding a spare house and car key in a magnetic box under a vehicle.

As I stated up thread, I have spent the past 2 hours on facebook. I came across the same picture of the small shanty/shack? that was posted in relation to the hash or THC oil bust. I can tell you it appears to me and this is all JMO, but it belongs to a very close family member. OR , should I say it did?

Unless they knew them from before they moved and Gary could have mentioned whom he was riding up with/were riding up with him. Then they would be the first suspects if Gary turned up dead.

Gary could also easily have brought weed back to KY for them, no need for them to travel. So if they wanted to be sure they'd go up there to rob them, they would IMO have had to find a better excuse.
