LM's remarks floored me. I hadn't thought about road rage as a motive since early in the investigation and I had never considered child custody. Guess I haven't kept up well enough.

I forgot all about road rage. According to that article the woman was sentenced to probation the day before the murders.

Which statement ??
Sorry it's hard to keep this all together

He was asked by the reporter what he (LM) thought the motive might be and Leonard said he didn't know and that maybe it was related to some child custody issue.

Thank you for asking. The answer right now is no.

You are not wrong at all!!

MOD NOTE: If anyone is missing a post (or multiple posts), it's because I just removed over 55 posts that included the sleuthing of the property owners. At this point in this case, NO one is supposed to be being sleuthed. That means no Facebook talk and don't try to circumvent TOS by talking in hypotheticals (where it's glaringly obvious who/what you're "hypothetically" saying).

Thanks in advance for everyone's cooperation.

I'm sorry. I admit, I will stretch a rubber band as much as I can until it breaks.

My understanding brings on radical explanations...It has been described to
me for nearly a year that this slaughter is wrapped up in the custody of a baby
whose father has not been identified..Chris Graves reported Jake Wagoner
Won custody of HR's older daughter July, 2016 and Chris Graves announced
the bio father of HR's 4day old baby would be out in a hearing in August,2016.
Well, that was 8 months ago and as far as I know, a bio father has not been
named....I say, watch out..a name will not be released..The bio father will
not submit to a DNA test and he is protected by laws...I am convinced that
all the news I am getting in regards to the murder where many, different
counties are engaged in multiples searches at locations of farms and car lots
is going to prove to be a different type of investigation from that of the Rhoden
murders..I am glad to follow along with all other posters and realize that
the AG is coordinating this large search party and all the LE agencies involved
are sent to those locations to solve the lawlesnessness of big money...
Usually, big money problems will bring out the exercise of a investigative
team we are observing.. Evidence::can you see them that operational with
the Rhoden murders, when they are begging for donations to supplement
the imbarrising lousy $ 10,000.00 amount on the table now?

Unlimited Motors sells cars and ATVs.

LE might have wanted to check Unlimited Motors' accounting records for money laundering.

He said something to the effect of, maybe it is like ???? said it's child custody(maybe?) ????. It is really hard to understand what he said.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/ne...-Manley-talks-murder-family-members-Ohio.html

I cannot make out two words that he said, and I'd really like to know what they were as LM was giving his opinion of what he thought the motive might have been.

This is what I hear him say: "I don't know. I think it was just ********* *** and maybe a child custody thing."

If anyone else can make sense of the two words that are very hard to understand, that would be great. It might offer some insight as to what LM was thinking early on in terms of possible motives. Recent family events and circumstances would have been pretty fresh in his mind at this point in time.

To me, it sounds like the first word starts with a p and has four syllables and the second word sounds like it starts with a t and was just one syllable.

I'm hearing "road rage attack".

I'm hearing "road rage attack".

I think you are correct! And here I thought I was pretty good at understanding "Appalachian" country dialect. I was way off!

"The third property searched was a used car lot in Adams County owned by a man named Brian Brown, according to the paper."

Does anyone have any ideas why LE searched this car lot?

They were searching the trailers that were parked/stored on the lot. From various reports they really didn't search the rest of the car lot or the buildings there, just the trailers. Here is a quote from one of Chris Graves' reports:

A team of investigators also combed through items that appeared to be stored in trailers parked at a car lot on Highway 41 in rural Peebles. Authorities did not search that property’s barn, home or land, but rather focused on horse trailers and trailers. Those trailers appeared packed with boxes and other household-type items.

I believe those household items would most likely be from the Peterson Rd house that was recently sold by JW & family.

I would also guess that this means the car lot owner, Brian Brown, and his business, are not themselves targets of investigation. That's not a certainty by any means, but based on this search it looks that way at the moment.

It's hard to for me to listen to that interview. He's so heartbroken. I didn't transcribe the questions but this is what I had noted for his responses, to the questions, for the DM interview:

She was a daughter everyone'd love to have.

She was a mom, worked hard, I mean, she don't deserve this.

I don't know, I think it was just a road rage thing and maybe a child custody thing.

Well, they all seemed to be good, I mean, they didn't talk about drugs, I mean, uh, you know, maybe other people knowed, but, I did not! I don't know if she knowed or not!

Is this what LM meant when he was first interviewed and told the media to go talk to the people at the nursing home where DR worked ? Is crystal springs a nursing home ?
I never understand what he meant by that and what they could possibly know?

"If you want some information you need to go down to the Lawshe nursing home and talk to the people down there.", Leonard Manley

http://globalnews.ca/news/2659269/i...oking-for-motive-shooter-in-rhoden-shootings/

.
Lawshe nursing home that LM is talking about is Hillcrest Nursing Home, 3564Lawshe Rd, Peebles, OH. It is less than a mile from the 260 Peterson Rd., search site. It's been said DR was very well liked at HNH so I'd guess she left behind friends there, who'd possible offered her an ear, or a shoulder, like friends do (just my take on LM's statement).

Children were carefully left alive, so I don't see road rage. I can see child custody for sure.

LE might have wanted to check Unlimited Motors' accounting records for money laundering.

Or possibly ATV(s) used in the commission of the crimes? I wonder if this is why they were searching trailers and such. Looking for specific ATVs? And at the car lot...

Not sure how you would link them to the scene but this is all I can reason from the limited info.

Two of the crime scenes --- 4077 Union Hill Road and 799 Left Fork Road -- appear to be connected to Flying W Farms by the clearing created by the power lines.

Video here (from 2015) of the approach to Flying W. It's way back from the main road, and a lot of woodland beside the track where something could be hidden imo:

Parental thing?

Could the owner of the car lot be a friend who allowed them to park the trailers on his property or maybe charging them a fee to park them there?
