They're already tried and convicted on hereWow, they even say to be on the look out for them. Media will have them convicted before they get arrested.
I'm a PO that works specifically with opiate addicts or those in recovery . Those that are on suboxone or methadone are prescribed by doctors and the dosage is monitored by the doctor. These people also are required to take regular drug screens for their doctor- to make sure they are positive for buprenorphine or methadone and negative for other substances. I would say people are AT LEAST on either of these meds for a year... it's then revisited and the discussion of weaning off the meds is discussed. I'm not sure about the state giving that person the drugs after payment ? I've never heard of that. I do know that suboxone and methadone dosing is covered under gov insurance , so it's readily available and that's partly because of the epidemic. Our county offers the vivitrol injection . I recommend this medically assisted treatment above all else. Instead of "replacing" the opioids, you receive an injection every 30 days that acts as an opioid blocker. It curbs all cravings and will not let you feel any sort of high if the person does use. People do not withdrawal after discontinued use of vivitrol as opposed to suboxone and methadone.

Doctors over prescribing and inappropriately prescribing is still a big problem in areas like Southern Ohio and other places. But, one of the biggest problems is that since all the pill mills were closed down by the DEA, heroin is cheaper and easier to get than prescribed opioids. There is not nearly enough money and resources available to adequately even begin to make a dent in the problem. Then you get the drug pipe lines bringing the heroin in from outside the area and all the crime associated with that plus all the crime associated with addicts stealing and doing whatever else they have to do to get their drug of choice. Then the doctors that had the pill mills that are not in jail go and open suboxone clinics that never try to wean the client off suboxone or provide adequate counseling.
I think LE are keeping quiet about other drugs found in the search of the Rs murder locations. I find it hard to believe that these murders happened over marijuana. Marijuana (medical) has been voted legal in Ohio and its just going thru the process of working out the rules and regulations to implement it.
I'm with ya. I was given morphine after knee replacement surgery in 1999. I ended up having to stay in the hospital 3 extra days to get over the extreme nausea/vomiting/hallucinating that came along with it. I've since been flagged as 'allergic to opiates'. Dodged a huge bullet as well.
I have been thinking what the motive could be. Drugs? Money? But neither of those made sense.
What about this and this is purely speculation I'm not accusing anyone of anything-I believe there was history or at least rumors of sex abuse with the old man Rhoden. A lot of times ppl abused will abuse. What if the someone thought there was sex abuse going on at the home and that nobody was doing anything to stop it? If someone had a child living there and thought/suspected she was being abused and nobody was protecting her that would be enough to want to kill the abuser and anyone who was allowing it yet not kill the little ones.
( suppose the arrests yesterday and last night could be a round up of meth cookers and not related to the R investigation, , but It's a pretty big coincidence for this to happen right when it seems like the investigation is heating up. Considering most if not all of those arrested have connections with AW in some way, it seems related to me.
If legit pain meds are banned. . . Heroin dealers will be ecstatic. Just my opinion.
I don't have a problem with medical marijuana. I do think marijuana can be a gateway drug for young users. My son used pot. I was a fool for believing that was the only drug he was using. . .
:grouphug: for everyone dealing with these issues!
It might have behooved JW's grandma to state the custody issue had nothing to do with the murders. . . or better yet just say no comment. Of the opinion to leave nothing open to interpretation in such cases.
I don't think I have ever heard about a case where an entire family was murdered because of one being abused. Sometimes we occasionally read about someone murdering an abuser but I cant remember any case where the entire adult family members were murdered in cold blood because of it.
Actually out of the unfortunate multiple millions of victims who have been sexually or physically abused or both... less than 30% go onto to commit some form of abuse against children. Even far less commit heinous murders. Rarely do children who have been sexually abused resort to murdering even their own abuser. The vast majority endure it until they can find a way to leave the toxic abusive environment. Although I haven't read any MSM article stating Mr Rhoden was a sex abuser.
If they really thought a child was being abused I am sure they would have contacted the proper authorities to see that the child was taken out of the home. That would be a way for full custody to be obtained without having to murder 8 people. If the child was being sexually abused there would be evidence of that when a doctor examined the child. The Ws certainly had necessary funds where it easily could have been taken up in court or reported to police/DFC. Did JW ever go to the court claiming his child was being sexually abused or go to the police? I thought it was said they both got along well?
Imo, I don't think this had anything to do with any child being abused but is about someone or an entire family that wanted full custody of a particular child and would do anything to get it.
It reminds me of the cases I have read about where a parent and even including grandparents conspired together to murder the other parent in order to make sure that parent was out of the custodial picture altogether. Some have murdered whoever was in the home at the time when they came to murder the parent....even other family members of the parent they murdered.
Just spoke to a friend who lives in Ohio and she said she just saw something flash on the news that there are roadblocks at the Rhoden property (now). I've looked online for this and cannot find anything.
Anyone see anything on this?
I'm local and haven't heard anything. I checked the local news outlets and didn't see anything about this.. interesting though! I'll be on the lookout.
If the Ws did this, why not just have HMR disappear, then quietly plan the trip, and move? Just like they have? No mother, no custody dispute. He'd have gotten her w/only one person murdered, just like he already has her w/eight people murdered. I think there's something more to this b/c murdering one person is a lot less risky than murdering eight. Basically w/the mother deceased the father has sole custody and can take the child wherever he pleases (as he's done). Grandparents have little to zip rights, unless it is special circumstances. So CR1 and DR couldn't do a thing. Whoever did this didn't take out LM who blurted out custody dispute on day one or two.
