Raisin, I looked up a similar company in Hilliard, OH that was connected to EM. They were described as something like a registering agent for foreign owned corporations doing business in OH, among other types of businesses. It could be these other corporations listed above are just others who use this service and are not linked to EM. If you go back to my posts from last night, though, you'll see a lot of other nursing homes that are owned by the same group of investors. The owner of these, though is a foreign corporation whose name isn't listed.

Keep in mind the current owner purchased the two EM's in 2017. The info I found on the Florida biz web site is for owners prior to 2017. They were a whole network of investors who own dozens of nursing homes. It's rather byzantine, for sure. I just wanted to remind everyone of that - current owner bought the EM's in 2017.

Thanks! This is the database I searched last night. It has info on past owners, investors and other nursing homes they own. There's a lot of information there. I just remembered I deleted that info last night over concern of violating the WS rules. Now I have to go back and find the name of the previous owners. Out of Florida, own a lot of nursing homes.

Yes, unfortunately it's legal. They're shell corporations and the purpose is to limit liability to the owners of and investors in nursing homes. EWs were owned mostly by companies in Maitland, FL. If a patient is injured or abused, etc., it makes it difficult to collect any damages, because the profits are passed through so many different companies.

The same location also may indicate a registration agent, a company that simply files legal documents for out of state or out of country corporations that want to incorporate in Ohio.

I am hopping on right before I start my shift so I have to be quick as I can. I lurk mainly on this thread but in my life I talk about this case a lot. I happened to talk about it in front of my autistic adult niece without realizing she was even paying me any attention with her mom. We were going over everything and we were talking about reasons and my niece piped up and stated "they were afraid of them". I started to say yes the Rhoden family must have been afraid. She said "no the people who did this were afraid of the Rhodens". In her sing song voice she made me realize the killers might of made this move because they had no choice.

Those numbers are from 2016. I suspect its gone up since then. I know my area in Ohio has gone up tremendously in 2 years

The timing has always made me think that purchase was the straw that broke the camel's back. Whether that money was skimmed, ripped off from a supplier, a loan not paid back, or whatever. My brain won't let it go...

However I could not found any information on David Weidner on the Consulate Health Care of Maitland, FL website. Perhaps David Weidner was on record as the executive authorized to sign back in 2011 but had since left the firm.Perhaps it was at that time Daniel E. Dias asummed his title.

Not much but I wanted to at least show I'm humbly trying to contribute.

Maybe I'm just not familiar with Ohio justice department policies. To residents of Ohio this may be standard operating procedure.

I seriously doubt that it is standard operating procedures anywhere in the country.

Rather, weapons carried by officers nearly always must be either issued by the department, or registered with the department. Some, or perhaps, many departments simply do not allow officers to carry personally owned weapons. A department that permits officers to carry their own weapons may have restrictions in addition to registering the weapon with the department (must be of a certain design, caliber, or even from a selection of certain models).

Though say, a rural department can have relaxed rules about personally owned weapons and allow officers to carry what they want with in reason, many officer would probably shy away from borrowing weapons. Their life can depend on that weapon. Thus officers want to carry a weapon that they are totally familiar with in grip, weight, trigger pull, safeties or the lack there of, maintenance etc.

In the end, I don't think officer routinely carry borrowed weapons for a variety of reasons.

I think we need to just use initials and limit our sleuthing of these companies, per TOS at WS. I'm not sure there's anything to this line of investigation, so we need to be careful. I'll ask mods for guidance on this, ok? I'm uncomfortable looking into it myself.

I agree,without thinking in my zealous pursuit of contributing I was tiptoeing into corporate sleuthing.

I also agree that the corporate executives themselves were never involved in any thing nefarious.We we all know the owners worked hidden behind layers of legal firewalls;far from any danger of corporate scrutiny. Oh yes the owners would be in the 'business' to delegate away any involvement i.e. traceable dealings/connections.

As poster Raisin posted the 'eye popping' number of companies that use the same address further illustrates how buried ownership can be. READ on her post''There are 250 companies that have an address matching 3958-D Brown Park Drive Hilliard, OH 43026'. Good Luck digging through that for ownership.

Many keep their private ownership hidden & shepherded by an ace legal team and all of their 'back slapping' well connected buddies.
