This is so sad, grateful for arrests. Wondering if JW left a window open or a door unlocked when fixing the crib. Was he gloating inside and before he left made one scary comment, now knowing he was full of hate. He would have had to hold all that hate in while visiting.
I'm aghast that sheriff deputies would "side" with a non-custodial parent. Expecting a mother to voluntarily sign over her parental rights is very unrealistic. JMO
I'm thinking maybe the surveillance began as a way to spy on HR's activities by a jealous JW, and also as things progressed, to keeping tabs on if Sophia was being abused or neglected.

Snooping expanded to gathering evidence for a custody case. Maybe they found out something they thought was unforgivable was going on which fueled AW to set the custody issue into high gear and it got to the point of forging papers.

The papers could have spawned the fight in which ChSr beat up BW. Emasculated by getting whupped and mad as a hornet, he's still on a rescue mission trying to save his granddaughter from the clutches of the hillbilly clan. So BW approaches the rage needed to kill.

Meanwhile JW as the jilted lover is well aware of HR's subsequent lovers, which creates a toxic state of mind.

AW is the "fixer" of the family and imagines herself a clever manipulator on a military-sequel mission to eliminate the threat and make all their lives perfect. JW will be revenged for the traitorous tramp, his unsuitable girlfriend, who dared spurn a Wagner. Revenge for hubby GW wrapped into the deal. Both JW and GW3 will cooperate.
Custody of both gks and Alaska to boot.

Eliminate the unsuitable relatives of gks to protect the W bloodline. Just like culling a litter of pups.

The weakest link of the quad would be GW4 I think.

Yes this happened just a couple years after I started my miniature horse farm. It sent waves through the community when they split. Back then FW only bred miniature horses. This son did all the showing for them. She owned Blue Boy which became a famous historical stallion.

I will say he is a scary man much like all of his brothers. We had a run in years ago and it wasn't pretty. I was warned to back off or I would regret it

Her husband showed Blue, she talked about the only time that Blue ever lost was the one time that RAW showed him. She also spoke about how she acquired him. She wanted him, and she wrote the owner a check for double what he was worth to get him. In the article about the barn fire, she said that RAW ran into the burning barn, beat down doors with his fists, to save the minis, Blue was in there too, but, as is the case with horses, they would not leave the barn. He jumped out of the barn as it exploded.

Do you happen to know why he split from the family? I'm quite curious.

With psychopaths it is always all about them. It is rare to find a whole family of them though. Grandparents, parents, kids. It is just mind boggling. There is a serious flaw in the bloodline there (pun intended).

Yes, not one of them, who initiated this, or heard it first voiced, backed out. The Ws are a psychopathic, narcissistic, clan, on steroids. FW and AW went to the ultimate, in protecting what they saw, imo, as theirs; GW3, AW, their grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Not one whit of a care for the Rs, Ms, and Gs, losses and heartache, nor those that S suffered.

Since she was never married her real love might be that farm her mother and brother are busy running into the ground. There was a post on the farms FB that stated this all didn't sit well with those customers that made that farm what it is today. I can see them losing a lot of business over this. It would be hard to trust their word on anything knowing she lied to a GJ.

JMO

She may be the only one with a conscience, who truly loves the animals and the farm, and wants her quiet life back, and I doubt her life will ever go back to normal.

Great post. It makes me sad again to think of poor CR1, trying so hard to protect his family. He was poor, but he worked hard to take care of them, he did the best he could in a system where circumstances were often stacked against him. He and DR were far better parents than any of the W clan. It pains me to think of the last minutes of his life as the W family tormented him. I hope he didn't know that their plan was to destroy all the family members he loved.

I haven't been on here in months due to illness, work an raising my grandkids.
I seen it on the news first time yesterday an said " I new it!" "Thankgod!" Just sick, twisted family. Especially the darn Grandma's. Hope they rot! Once again look who suffers.. the poor innocent children.
Sad.

I think they may take a plea from one, if one rolls on the main conspirator(s), but I believe that the people want a trial, and want maximum penalty for something like this. If this were a shootout between two drug dealers and their crews, we might see some pleas for LWOP. This is four people who murdered a 16 y.o. boy, they had watched grow up, JW had even attended Derbies with the Rs and Ms, iirc, HMR practically lived with them until the break up, went on vacation with them, was the mother of his child, and their grandchild. Babies were in those homes, next to young parents. This was especially heinous, and I am not sure that it would be a good political move, to just grant them all a plea bargain. Personally, I'd toss in a few bucks toward the trial, to get to watch them on the witness stand.

Their testimony would be great to hear. Especially the reasoning that allowed them to be judge, jury, and executioner of eight people. I'd bet they don't think turnabout is fair play...

Looking at the Pike County jail roster, it looks like Rita Newcomb is still in jail, but Fredericka Wagner is out.

Currently Housed Inmates

No records I can find for the arraignment hearing yesterday

ETA: Since her daughter was at the hearing yesterday, assume she was the one who bailed her out.

AFAIK, both did. I think that GWjr had been sick for awhile, I'm not sure about the circumstances surrounding AW's father, but, if she was truthful on her FB comments w/another individual, she did not come home to attend the funeral. Til this past May, they were still in AK, and I don't think they had the funds to return home, is my guess.
She didn’t come home for her father’s funeral?

What blows my mind is that someone would pay $2000.00 for a dog when the shelters are full of great dogs to be had just for the asking.

JMO

There is a cat breeder who lives in my neighborhood. One of her kittens escaped, was scared, and ran quite a distance. Someone reported noticing a kitten running up a tree on their way to work but didn’t remember where the tree was. Long story short, several of us were worried sick about this kitten and the breeder wasn’t even out looking.

Several of us were searching for the kitten, the breeder didn’t even seem concerned.

After a couple of days a neighbor was able to get the kitten. I gave him the breeder’s phone #. She didn’t respond. He let me know he couldn’t get her to call back, so I contacted her myself to let her know her kitten had been rescued. She said, “Thanks.”

After this incident I looked on her website and saw that she sold her kittens for $5,500.00 each.

Just to clarify, DeWine said the last piece of evidence (the silencer parts) was important, but it wasn't key evidence. He implied they were ready to move forward with arrests based on what they already had, but the silencer was good evidence to have.

I also agree about them going in pairs to do the killings. Some of those rooms were small and having more than one person shooting was risky. The preliminary AR reports for FR & HHG indicate, IMO, two shooters. Both were killed nearly simultaneously, with neither having time to move. If they came in through the bedroom window, it would explain why the little boy sleeping in the living room wasn't immediately awakened. Given the size of some of the W men, it's baffling to see how they could fit through one of those windows without making some noise. Other alternative is that they used the windows to exit the scene, so that the front door could be locked behind them.

Thanks for the clarification on the silencers. I would have to have a busy week when this broke!!! Gotta head out here shortly!! Which I'd like to thank you, Betty, and everyone else, for the summaries, it's kept me up to speed until I have time to hide away and go through all the docs and articles and listen to vids myself!!! Big THANK YA'LL!!!!

I was just wondering, if, maybe, the windows were stage dressing? If they got the keys to the other trailers, somehow, would that not be a boon?! The only one that I could see fitting through the windows, with a boost, might be JW, and tumbling through them could be noisy. Trailer windows are not like windows in other homes. Especially older trailer home windows. Painful to even try to get through, and even when I was in my teens, and I am tallish for a female, and was pretty scrawny then, and it would have been a PIA to get through them.

Happy to help. I'll see if I can find a transcript of the DeWine/Reader/Junk press conference. There was a lot of info they discussed. DeWine made that point towards the end of his talk, but some news reports are still misunderstanding it.

Yeah, the windows are odd to me, too. IIRC, those things aren't very big, they don't have actual window sills, do they? But they were open in both CR1 and FR homes. Could have been some odd staging, attempts to foil LE on TOD, who knows? I think there were possibly some amateurish aspects to the planning of this massacre, things that make it confusing.

The weakest link of the quad would be GW4 I think.

In one of the newer media links, I don't recall which one, it has older pics, I assume driver license pics of the 4, GW3 and JW both have sores on their faces that aren't acne. That's meth and it makes you extremely paranoid, on top of their own paranoia, that would have fueled a lot of rage. I have a cousin who just got 6 years for his meth paranoia. Shooting at a kid that was by the road near my cousin's property helping a car wreck. I wouldn't doubt they were on steroids either. I recall in pics of their house before they left out for Alaska there was weights and work out equipment. That and the hunting culture and their sense of power and entitlement and AW's military experience was a perfect storm.
I don't think RW was the CI at all. The indictments say John Doe, not Jane Doe. She seems like the only halfway sensible one of the bunch to me. She's the manager of the farm as well. I think their planning and conversations were done when she wasn't around, busy running the farm. I love the idea of the father being the CI. I can see FW running his life their entire marriage. My husband's aunt and her husband had a similar type marriage. She made him live in the basement. It was messed up! So I can clearly see him as getting his last revenge on her. It had to be somebody very close to them.

Someone asked why JW would quit a good trucking job. And someone else reminded us not to forget the undercurrent of drugs. So maybe JW failed a drug test and was fired that was the one thing HR knew and was able to threaten back with when they wanted her to sign over her rights. I wonder if the W's "spit back" with the fact that she would never get full custody since she didn't even know who the father of her baby was (and had three potential candidates). Speaking of, I saw someone mention a CH as the guy she was actually in a relationship with, but I don't recall reading anything about a CH in the stories about this massacre. Was he still in the picture at the time of the murders?

I cannot imagine the informant is the sister, even though it makes sense, just because she knows what they are capable of and then isn't afraid to turn on them, and then ride with one knowing she would be there at his arrest, and then show up in court for her mom knowing her mom would know she was the CI (assuming she recalls those referenced conversations and knows who all was there). Part of me wonders if GW4's son overheard things they either didn't think he would understand, or wasn't paying attention to, and then shared it with someone innocently who put the pieces together (does he go to school? maybe investigators had his teachers use the right prompts to get him talking inadvertently to see what he knew).

RAISINISBACK Brilliant analysis! Oh for sure, business is going to suffer and/or opportunist's will be circling, looking for some "horse flesh bargains." Not only that, FW will no longer be able to teach Sunday school until this is all over....Oh my! (Please insert icon of puking emoji, here.)
Isn't there a church on her property? If you have your own church you can teach the SS all you want. Can't imagine anyone wanting to be a student of her brand of SS anymore though!

O/T; I have adopted several shelter dogs throughout the years, taken in strays, and donated to local shelters, but, there is one particular breed, that I will probably always have in my home, but I do go to a reputable breeder to obtain a pup. I love the breed, and enjoy seeing the integrity of the breed's temperament, and confirmation, being kept alive by reputable breeders. I love my mutts just as much, but, I will probably always have a Rott.

That article (FW statements) set off my hinky meter.

Fire destroys family's top show horses

Mine too. Too much drama with RAW running into the barn and knocking down doors with his bare fists. Burning embers. The barn exploding with him diving out in the nick of time. Straight out of a movie.

I keep coming back to why the entire family had to die vs just HR. I wonder if HR knew that barn fire was arson to collect insurance money on those million dollar horses. Maybe JW told her or when things were good between her and the family and looked to last a lifetime they talked about it in front of her. They would have been certain she told her parents and that CR1 told KR as they were very close. Maybe the R's told them if they didn't back off on the custody they would go to the authorities about that high dollar insurance payout. If it was proved arson, not only would FW be charged but whoever set the fire and in addition FW would have had to pay back every cent the insurance companies gave her.

Twenty of the show horses, only about 30 inches tall but valued at nearly $1 million, died in the blazing barn early Tuesday.
