@Myland - if you have information to offer I hope you've shared it with LE. And I say that with no snark intended! As has been mentioned many of us here have been watching, talking, reading, absorbing everything for the last 2.5 years. If you go back and read the previous threads you will see that the questions you now have probably have been discussed over and over. We don't deal with rumor. We deal with what has been given to us mostly LE and MSM. It's a daunting task but reading these threads will be invaluable to you (or anyone not up to date).

Thank you. Any evidence needs to be presented to LE. We can go back and forth all day, but if you do have evidence to the contrary, please present it to law enforcement.

They bought stolen items that’s a big jump to go from buying stolen items to murder
It's not a big jump to murder 8 people and then discuss "taking revenge" on a special agent, DeWine and Sheriff Reader if they were arrested.

Special Prosecutor Angie Canepa told the court that a confidential informant told them of a meeting at Wagner's home with her family members that included talk of "taking revenge" on a special agent, DeWine and Pike County Sheriff Charles Reader if arrests were made.
Suspect in killings of daughter's mother and family sought custody just 6 days after the murders

No just saying just because they were arrested doesn’t mean they are guilty. They could very well be but I need more evidence than just the indictment because investigators don’t always get it right.
I am typically pretty open minded BUT this case seems to be pretty clear. I don't know how I would come to any conclusion other than they are busted unless I knew them and found it to be "unthinkable" that they could have committed such an awful evil act. I am not asking if you knew them it doesn't matter to me just trying to figure out how anyone could find them to be innocent at this point. It doesn't take a trial to connect these dots. JMO

You have to look at it from both sides and we have only heard one side from law officials. I am sure the defense is looking to try to explain away all the evidence.

illegal fully Automatic riffles ————country folk

Not to start a firearm debate b/c that's not permitted on this thread, but, being "country folk" doesn't go hand-in-hand with having fully automatic rifles (speaking as a country folk, who knows lots of other country folks, who do not have them.). Then again, the Ws aren't your ordinary country folks, they have the money to purchase fully automatic firearms. They'll run over $15k per machine gun.

Also I am country folk and i don't know anybody that has: fully automatic weapons, silencers, brass catchers........so no i don't chalk that up to oh you know those ornery country folk. We have legal shotguns, for shooting varmants and hunting........not to commit unthinkable acts of violence......

I have doubts all angles were investigated

You can always call in a tip to LE and explain what angles of investigation you feel were neglected and why you feel this way. Then at least you'll feel you've done everything you can do.

I didn’t mean country folk have the stuff to commit unthinkable acts. Country folk in the Wagner’s area like their toys.

It could be a huge reason why eight would die if not earned legally

It could be, and it appeared that it could be in this case, it appeared it could be many things in this case, but it boiled down to control of a toddler. They didn't have it, they wanted it, it couldn't be bought, so they were willing to kill eight people to get it.

It wasn't about drugs, Attorney General Mike DeWine announced Tuesday.

It wasn't a cartel execution, although it had certainly been made to look that way.

After a "thousand-piece puzzle" of an investigation spanning two years, 10 states and hundreds of interviews, investigators discovered the overnight murders of eight Rhoden family members -- the youngest just 16 -- likely came down to a custody battle over a toddler.

DeWine: Wagner family meticulously planned Pike County massacre, fueled by 'obsession with custody'

Those MANY law officials who over the last 2.5+ years have many many days I'm sure given up sleep and personal lives to gather enough evidence to bring the indictment and hopefully conviction. I think throwing random what-ifs without any facts show a certain disregard and disrespect for their diligence, sacrifice and desire for justice.

Does anyone remember the tv show called Hogan's Heroes? I'm trying to decide if it was Sargent Shultz who used to say, "Very interesting!". Or was it Col Klink.

Or maybe GW4's ex wife's sig? I think she had visitation, or at least did visit him there at their home. Someone on the thread, said earlier, that if a child has two living parents, both parents have to sign the paperwork for the child to cross the border. If I am remembering this correctly, then BW's mother would have had to sign. Whoever shared that, would that be correct?

No actualy Canada never asked for it liokedat my custody oapers. They are concerned wth insurance. Ability to support yourself and criminal record. They don’t ask about custody.

personally I think the argument that LE spent 2.5 yrs trying to frame the wagners and ignoring other possibilities is very weak at best. From what we know, LE made every effort to look into all things the Rhodens were involved in, including what i believe was nothing more than a small time pot growing operation, that likely fed certain family members own recreational use. Plus probably small time dealing to their friends. Also they chased down many other leads that ultimately led nowhere(and they have all been discussed here). I believe the wagners beyond a reasonable doubt planned and comitted these acts and i also believe a jury of their peers will as well. If they are found not guilty I will be shocked and I will be willing to bet that it won't be bc they are innocent, but rather a lack of evidence.......means.....motive and opportunity all > to the wagners.

IMO, killing over custody and killing to avoid child support payments (ie- divorce) are probably ranked right up at the top of causes for familicide.

Famous one just sentenced today.
I think you're right. As far as custody, I think it's bred into the human animal to protect their young, and this extends to the grandparent generation. Protecting the young favors survival of a family line.

Maybe they thought they had a reason to protect the child from something they perceived was wrong at home, like the infamous bedbugs. Bedbugs do freak people out along with lice or fleas. Eeyuck!

And child support? Some parents feel anger at being forced to fork over money to someone at whom there might be negative feelings, in spite if it being a duty the child. In the mind it could be like, I'm paying this huge amount and only get a few days visitation? No fair!

I think custody could well be a huge factor here, based on a misguided instinctual urge, along with a selfish perspective of course.

Don't forget that it isn't just the Pike County Sheriff's office involved in this. It is also the BCI which has been involved since day one. Also the FBI, DEA, Homeland Security and Postal Inspectors just to mention a few of the federal agencies.

There are some very smart people working for the alphabet agencies. Much smarter than the Wagner family.

I think that LE waited 2 1/2 years to make the arrest just to make sure they got it right and would get a conviction.

JMO
What was found on October the 30th was the final piece of evidence need to put the Wagner's in jail, and the reason Kenneth was killed was the Wagner's was afraid he would kill them after what they did, why do you think they came in the middle of the night!

Welcome to Websleuths, Myland :)
Ideally, child custody cases are examined very closely to place a child properly in the best suited home situation. The decision is made according to what's in the child's best interest. It might be that the W's didn't want to go to court where their own backgrounds would be scrutinized along with the R's. If the judge ruled in the R's favor then the W's option, by their logic, would be to kill all the R's and get the child that way. So, imo, the W's took the short cut... squirting around the court system which would have dug up their dirty laundry and, at least at first, it worked. They did get custody, just as they planned. Of course, they killed 8 people but that didn't seem to bother them too much.
Also, remember JW had an unlawful relationship with a minor, that could have sent him to jail for awhile, to get in a courtroom and start bringing attention to that situation would not fair well.

That was Klink who found many things interesting. Shultz used to say I know nothing.

We think probably from sales of MJ or maybe cars. I think that is what we all settled on.

But please remember with the stated amount of plants (I think DeWine said 200) and with DS saying they were in flats meaning they were seedlings which may or may not have survived, there isn't any evidence that CR1 was running a pot operation big enough to threaten any cartels or big time growers.

There is also the possibility that CR1 sold a big piece of equipment to get the money. He had many pieces of heavy equipment on his property like bulldozers ect. Any one of those big heavy equipment vehicles would bring 30 grand and maybe more if sold.

JMO
Big Chris had his own dozed and backhoe which can earn $65 per hour he did construction work, Dana sold cars online and worked in a nursing home so where do you think they got the money to pay down on their home, Bill or Angela didn't work!
