ICBW, but I'm reading it as her responding to reporters' questions about only Jake's involvement, as father of HMR's daughter. The article quotes her saying that in 2017. There is something, though, that hints she is protective of JW in particular.

She seems like a real piece of work, used to demanding and getting her way. Is she (subconsciously) saying the searches won't turn up anything because they thought they were so good at hiding the evidence? Yep, she was wrong about that. I can see why DeWine and Junk were afraid to go after the W family for so long. She seems to be a formidable person and probably has a lot of power and influence. Can't wait to find out more about her and her family.

I think the reason she said that was because, as HRs ex, he was automatically looked at. Plus the custody issue. No one really thought the entire family murdered as a group. Ius just not something you hear about often or at all.

This is most graphic explanation of autopsy report Ive found. Even if they messed up on DR. Probably been discussed but the way Hannah Gilley and DR. were shot is very personal. I don't think they were afraid of the Ws, they were putting together as airtight of a case as possible, as we can see from the indictmetns. That didn't happen overnight and it's a good thing. They have only one chance to get this right. With FW's money, she can afford the best for GW3. GW3 has, as anyone would think that he would, a darn fine atty. who is already playing up GW3's lack of education. I do wonder if AW will have a high ranking atty... hers can't play the lack of education card though.

Some Mothers will spend their last dollar to mount the best defense possible. In this case, "A rising tide lifts all boats." What ever defense Collins presents, will no doubt be mimicked by the other defense attorneys. So, in theory the payer gets 4 for the price of one.
"Wagner only has a 7th grade education"? I don't think that matters...because no one ever states the educational level of the victims as a reason for getting a bullet in their head. (The victim only had a 7th grade education...the killer only had a 7th grade education...does that balance out for you?)

I just laughed out loud! I thought the same thing. I'm sure most everyone knows he's not the "mastermind". I get the impression that he's the muscle, GW4 is the backup but smarter, AW is the planner, and JW... I've never seen him as a trigger man. I see him more as providing recon. That's even worse, if so. He had to remain friendly with everyone, in order to get into the homes, and learn routines and bedrooms. Especially since DR had just moved a month prior. Need help putting that crib up? No, problem.

I am working out of state for a few weeks otherwise I would drive over myself! I have followed this case so closely from the beginning that I feel personally involved. I will be waiting to see updates on the hearing.

Me too. When it goes to trial, I might just drive on up and stay at BBL. I feel like I know those folks too! Heck, I feel like I know more than a few folks around there (the Ws included).

Where did they get the monies to purchase this property? It's not as though they each had regular jobs they reported to. I recall the alleged monies taken from his safe and that wouldn't have been enough to put in all the work they did to that place. Unless, as also alleged early on "product" was also taken additional to monies. How much monies would/did FW throw at a never ending request of monies from her kids? Anyone know how much that family is truly worth?

The Ws lawyer feels confident that they can seat a jury. I just don't see how. I think it would be hard. Then again,
FW and RJW are both from Scioto County.
The Ws were living in Adams County at the time of the murders, and were arrested, living in Scioto.
Technically DR, HMR, and CR2, were living in Adams County (IIRC)
KR was living in Scioto.
CR1, GR, FR, and HHG, were living in Pike County.

The different counties may be why folks in various little communities have differing thoughts. Our population here is under 20k, and we are not what I'd call a large county, nor a wealthy one, but unless I followed a case, like I have this one, I'd probably not know much about a bunch of rich folks from out of county, and if the murder victims were not in a nearby community, I'd not likely know them personally. Idk, I still think it would be difficult to find 12 jurors, plus alternates, for four DP trials.
