Does anyone recognize who the woman is, in this video, walking up to the lawyers as soon as the hearing finished? Thin with long brown hair pulled back on top. Max Londberg on Twitter

My son had land and bought a modular home to put on it. They talked him into paying the little he owed on the property off with money loaned on the home. After they had had it in writing he was buying the home, and telling him he can't back out, they changed the lender and doubled the payment. He lost everything...

That's awful. Just awful. There must be someone he can appeal to, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau or someone.

She's going to cry. imo
SHE WILL NEVER CRY, UNTIL SHE IS CONVICTED!! Then it will be, "Oh poor me, I was abused by my husband, the grapefruit squirt me in the eye this morning and I don't get along with the regimentation of prison....you see, your Honor, I AM SPECIAL, I AM A WAGNER."

I would like to have your thoughts on count 22. I apologize if this was discussed before.

The Ws are indicted for engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity with each other and with unidentified others including an anonymous "John Doe"

This anonymous John Doe has apparently participated, in some way, but he/she is not indicted. Why does he/she avoid prosecution? Why would the indictement make any mention of it?

Is it possible that prosecution made a deal with this John Doe to lift all charges against him/her in exchange of a testimony in court?

The John Doe is just a legal catch-all in case they find someone else was involved. It does not mean that there was someone else involved.

I was married to a man whose family was set up just like the W family. If one person felt slighted they all did. When I called LE because there was abuse they covered for him to the point of ridiculousness. I think the W family is the same way.
I say the W family made the choice together not because they thought SW was being hurt but because HR dared to stand up to them and do things her way. The R family was taking control away from the W family. It so offended them that murder was their only choice. They waited until the baby was born I know but can anyone tell me when HR and JW were going to court over SW? Or if it was just threats and hadn't happened yet?

Judge Deering patiently reading through the charges and specifications. Explaining penalties that may be imposed. Same as the previous 2 hearings.
Yes, same as last 2 hearing for us...but, these are the first time she is hearing them read in a public forum, knowing the family of the people she conspired to murder, are sitting right behind her. Not ONE tear, NOT ONE!! Do they have heart beats??

I think some news reporters checked the court records and couldn't find anything about S until JW filed for custody just after HMR was murdered by his family. There were probably some discussions with HMR and the Rhoden family before they were killed but nothing official.

Nothing credible has come out about the custody "battle". I don't think anyone knows for sure how involved it got. I've never heard there was any legal paperwork drawn up, legally that is, illegal paper work was. Some rumors say it was bitter others say it was not.

surprised there's no security behind the defense table ... would be easy for someone to jump over the railing and attack the defendant
LadyL, who would attack a defenseless woman with her back turned and in handcuffs? The only people "I HAVE HEARD OF BEING THAT UNCIVILIZED" are already in jail....and their last name all starts with W.

Does not like camera. Any theories on why no one sat behind Ws? Since Ws were supposedly so well like in area. I leaning attorneys for defense doesn't want trial to be moved." Look judge no one even came to support them" etc. Then get a friend on jury. It only takes one.

John Doe must be a Wagner family member. Could it have been George Wagner (Fredericka's husband) who died?

I don't think that medical care is free. One of my clients who is an administrative deputy in the billing department for my county told me once that the county charges the prisoners for any treatment. Six dollars for one aspirin IIRC. They also charge for Dr. visits and medications that are required to be given by a Dr.'s prescription. The inmate has to pay from an account in which family or friends put money or by doing community service while in jail or the county sends them a bill after they get out. The deputy said that the county actively pursues that money even to the length of small claims court.

It may be different in Ohio though.

JMO

This, we agree on. ;) It's this way in Ky. too. Not sure about OH.

So these people committed murder over the possibility they might lose a custody battle not even on the books? There has to be something more to this.

They may have been very apprehensive about starting a legal custody battle. Jake was an adult and Hanna was only 14 or 15 when he impregnated her.

What is the age of consent in Ohio?
