Hi, I’m new here tho I have been reading these threads for a long time. This case just seems too horrific to have been done by anyone but it had to have been very personal and someone who knew them very well. So IMO if it wasn’t the Wagner’s then it was another local family and quite frankly that would be even more terrifying for those who live in Pike County. Anyway I had to join this discussion because of all the talk and theories around the silencer that was discovered. Something kept nagging me about an article I read awhile back that mentioned someone helping a friend make a silencer and they had already been questioned by LE. I kind of was taken back at the time and that the person mentioned it and thought “that’s odd could it b related?” Hope this is allowed but I have attached the article. It’s near the bottom and I have to wonder if this “help” is what led to the discovery.

WOW.. THANK YOU for your post.

I had already read the article you
linked awhile back, BUT when i read it again just now i realized that there are MANY things i missed the first time. With new info we have now and the arrests the article jumps out with all kinds of things that could be related.

:)
JMO but the investigators may have placed listening devices when they “raided” the Wagner’s farm in August, 2018.
Thank you MYLAND, Do you know if that was before or after FW was questioned by GJ (Grand Jury.)? Is there an article about that specific raid I can access?:)

Welcome MOMO. Good catch.

That article was pretty early on in the investigation which indicates to me that LE knew a silencer was used from day one and was looking for that silencer or who made it.

RAISINISBACK.... I just kept wondering why others were using the term confidential informant, ( have to admit I did, too.) So thought I would listen closer and viola.... the prosecutor actually said "confidential resource, uh source." (I got the feeling she changed her wording quickly from "resource" to "source" because she did not want to give too much info away?? Anybody else notice?)
That is a game changer for me.... it only makes sense that the most comprehensive, extensive and expensive investigation in the history of Ohio would include: recordings, surveillance, drones and voice recognition software. (we already know the GPS tracker was a bust.) I have
voice activation ID on special financial accounts....so why not the same principal/technology used to identify the voices of people speaking in a room?

I think you are on to something with that. I was confused about that CI also because I couldn't imagine the W's speaking in a room with someone else present. I was thinking it had to be a trusted family member, but that discussion contained a veiled threat of what they would do to anyone not arrested. So I couldn't see a trusted family member coming forth.

Fox19 reported on the raid. I believe it took place on 8/22/18.

I know there was a raid May 13 2017. Here is the link for that one.
SWAT team executes raid for evidence related to Pike County massacre

I don't think I have a link for one in August of this year but maybe someone else does.

Myland you said it was August 22 2018 with FOX19 news? I will see if I can find it.

JMO
Yes I believe that was the date. They also went went Angela’s family house in South Webster at the same time. Investigators tried to keep it hush hush but it was reported because everyone thought then the arrests were going down that night

Or it could have been 8/16/2018. It was right around that time.

This is really weird. While searching for that link I typed in Wagner in the search field of FOX 19 News and this came up. The article linked to that headline has been removed.

I don't remember reading any news articles linking the Wagners by name to the Rhodens back in April of this year. And the article has been removed. Did the news reporters know an arrest was coming back in April?

I am not finding it, but I get blocked a lot by some of the news websites in Ohio. I am not sure why unless it is my antivirus I have on my computer.

Moderators have deleted posts and admonished posters on here more than once without being notified.

how do you know they weren't notified? it's not like people post about it after doing it - my point is that they can't and don't read every single post on every single thread

I don't know when this photo was taken....but I showed it to an experienced professional (works with addiction problems) and the first words out of his mouth were, "Speed bumps!"

Okay, back to my faithful research assistant Miss Google, ignoring speed bumps used to slow traffic, I found this:
Meth sores are most commonly seen on an individual’s face, particularly on the mouth, checks, or forehead. Sores may appear to look like acne or a rash but often become infected and spread. According to an article in Family Practice News, sores from meth use can occur from several different methods.
Perhaps there was a drug issue, in the past, but recent photos show his complexion to be flawless.
Oh gheesh-lahweez, I must be on some "cyber crime info research list" since I have been spending a lot of time researching silencers, flash suppressors, cell phone blockers, and bug finders...#5 is really interesting item

This is the date I see when I click on your link. Check out the dates... very confusing. I don't remember any connection between the families made by any news outlets in July either.
