I wonder if the sites are abandoned because the workers saw a police helicopter flying over their crops the day before.

Also a possibility.

During my pre-Prop 215 time in Humboldt there was a network of CAMP-spotters that gave notice to those listening in where the helicopters were flying on any given day. If they were over or near your house/cabin/camp you darned sure knew it.

Another possibility is that trail cams were in position to provide adequate warning for a quick bugout from a temporary encampment.

Basically they are blinded by love and if they get pregnant they do not see past the cute baby that will be here in 9 months. When it arrives, and a lot of times the father departs, reality sinks in. Sad, but many times, true.

Interesting that Dana had her own first child at not quite 17 . I had assumed she had married at 16 due to the pregnancy, but one of the obits published gave all the dates, and the wedding was 10 months before Frankie was born.

Again, we're talking at least 1/10th of a mile between the two trailers. I'd not think a thing about hearing gunshots in the night around here. I'd not get up and arm myself, nor would I call the police, IF it even woke me (and I do sleep w/windows open on nice nights). I'd just go back to sleep, b/c I'd figure someone was running a critter off or playing with their new night sights. We shot for at least an hour and one of the guns we shot sounds like a bomb going off. Not one neighbor ventured out, called to see if anything was wrong, called 911 or anything. It could have been a slaughter going on here and no one would have been the wiser. People don't think about hearing gun shots in rural areas.

Which kinda leads me to one theory, which is that they were behind the tip-off that led to the PO interception of that package from CA--or in some other way playing the inside track with LE. I don't suspect the local folks who got shut down of doing this. But clearly they were working for someone. If the someone they were working for was a different someone than the Rhodens were working for, and the Rhodens were believed to be behind that particular bust, this could have been the result.

I think that--in that scenario--taking out so many was to disable any attempt at revenge.

Totally just spitballing, but it fits most of the facts as we know them.

I remember you mentioning that you are familiar with word spins because you deal or work with politics.
I have read that statement 4 timez now and each time I have shaken my head and cleared my eyes to focus and concentrate.
Can you help me out, WTH is he saying or not?
Yeah I can help you out. He is saying "I'm not telling you crap and will use a lot of words to tell you nothing".

He is also contradicting himself, such as this:

"In the days after the slayings, Pike County Sheriff Charles Reader said that it was clear the family was targeted and that he had told the victims' relatives to arm themselves.

On Monday, Attorney General Mike DeWine said authorities didn't know whether there was a threat to the family and he would not speculate about whether a threat remains.

"We have no new information that would indicate that there is a threat to any of the members of the family," DeWine told The Associated Press in an interview before speaking at an opiate-related conference in Columbus. "We don't have any information on that. And we did not when we initially said it other than the fact we had eight people killed."

This is a lie and it makes people doubt what they saw with their own eyes and heard with their own ears and that is intentional.

I'm shocked he didn't say.. "who are you going to believe, me or your own lying eyes?"

Why do all this, and contradict yourself and do it intentionally?

Either you know what is your and about to do bust someone and you are smart like a fox.

Or..

You don't have crap and you don't want the politicial fallout of people raising a stink about a mass murderer running loose and you pray it goes away.

I'll be shocked if he is smart like a fox.

If there is no threat why the funeral security?

The man either lied in the beginning or is lying now.. It is a huge contradiction, not even a play on words or a spin. He is lying to everyone about this case.

Is he a liar always? No idea.

Oh and he is discussing all this with the Sheriff and probably telling him.what to say, that part is just my opinion.

This man is contradicting words and more importantly, ACTIONS they are taking.

So he is basically saying, everything is peachy keen, nothing to see here, move along.

He is knee deep in a **** storm of a political nightmare and knows it. He is worried about his career above everything.. Unless of course he shocks us and someone is arrested and we find out the man is a genius investigator.

I'm not buying that right now.

Well, if one really wanted to be hateful one could suggest that perhaps she was pregnant but lost the baby.

And to add, my granny, a very smart woman with thousands of sayings, always said.. Actions speak louder than words.

His actions don't match what he is saying here.

I work in politics too. There's a reason your head is spinning: he's using a bunch of words to say absolutely nothing.
Hahahaha you match my first sentences in my reply.

I agree. I think the real money in growing pot is for oils and edibles. Especially if you know what you are doing regarding medical grade strains, etc.

I'm behind so this may have been addressed. Personally I think the Rhodens were just growing pot and getting it out as fast as possible. I may be wrong but they just don't seem like the kind of people that are going to have labs on their properties.

Interesting, but I think just coincidental. That one had to do with mishandling other kinds of crimes, and some inappropriate (read drunken) off-duty behavior.

IDK, I have been jumping up and down about one LE renegade who had motive, opportunity and expertise to pull this off on their own. Can't say more because they're not a POI, but the stuff they could have on other LE probably goes from top to bottom. I can't imagine how they'd handle it if they know that's this person is the perp... I've been hoping that someone who lives there could prove this wrong so I can let it go lol

You are awesome. I felt like I was reading something and then un-reading what I just read.
Your explanation are opinion are such a breath of fresh air, kinda nice in the midst of all his chaos. IMO

A nice politicial trick with something major.. Say a lot that sounds important and official that really says nothing.

Most people won't admit they don't have a clue what you said.

DeWine is no novice - he started his career as a prosecutor in Greene County, before getting elected to the state Legislature 36 years ago. Since that time, he has served as a member of the U.S. House & U.S. Senate, as well as Lt. Gov, which is all prior to his current stint as AG. In the political world, it's speculated that he has his eye on the Governor's office when it'll be open again in 2018.

I'm not sure if he intentionally put himself in the middle of this Pike County thing - he might have been brought in due to issues with Pike County Sheriff's office and also to bring in state resources - but now that he's in the middle, I'm fairly certain he's not going to allow himself to be hoisted on his own petard here. He is playing it close to the vest because he knows it's going to be resolved, if he thought it was not going to be solved, IMO he'd be handling this differently.

The flat out lies bother me.

Without saying it, he is making us doubt what they have been saying from the beginning. They talked about actual protective custody for Rhodens.

Did he forget that?

We didn't.

Rooster fights they're popular in Mexico and they do it here. It's popular over here in the country for years in different places, also. I was wondering if the Rhodens had befriended some of the Mexican workers living in the campground that worked for the cartel, or middle man dealers. Cartel is all over Ohio, according to Govt statistics, they're always finding ways to blend in and never do things the same way. There's many articles on all of this that I've posted before. I don't think this was direct Cartel, but could be middle man dealers, who knows?

I don't know if I see the connection between the campground where some of the Rhodens worked and the Mexicans camping out in fields of MJ.

I think that the Mexicans suspected of being pot growers (didn't see anywhere that any were actually caught) were pretty much squatting out somewhere where the intent was not to be noticed. Wouldn't look for them at an actual "camp site."

there is the electric light pole cut out in the woods that runs buy all the locations, go through there on atv, walk trough wood, out with no traffic on the roads
There are also parts of old roads still in the woods and you can see, when you drill down, that there's been activity, probably from dirt bikes or atvs.

He KNOWS he is in a mess.

If there was no threat to or from someone, there is no way they would have all of that security at the visitations.

Electric companies frequently use helicopters to check on lines & make sure the right of ways are clear. It wouldn't be smart at all to try to run a grow operation near one. The line near my farm is checked monthly by helicopter. A large grow site would be easily seen I would think.
