When I had my son 8 months ago, they gave me Percocet to go home with. And I was nursing. It was only like 10 pills, to get through the cramping that nursing causes. I never took them. I like to be alert. Especially with a newborn.

Ish--and people wonder why opiate addiction is a thing!

Good for you, btw, not taking them.

Well they aren't going to give a ton of pain meds for any acute issue.

I had over 30 kidney stones in December and two surgeries for it. They gave me a lot of strong pain meds, but only gave me small amounts at a time. It sometimes required me going to the ER on the weekend because they couldn't call it in. This was a 1.5 month process, the doctor knows me and knew the entire situation. He just told me when I needed more, call and they would write me a prescription I could pick up.

That makes me think the DEA is all over doctors right now. My doctor had CAT scans and numerous other test to back up writing me a huge prescription. A couple of times he wrote me two and post-dated one. There was no issue with him giving me the med, giving me super strong meds that most people won't normally get for an injury or just surgery, it was the amount he would give me at a time. I've had kidney stones most of my life, been a few years. In the past I didn't have meds so strong, but he would give me a prescription with more than enough pills, he has always done that.

Even the ER, having all my records also, would give me plenty of medicine while there but only send me home with 12 pills maximum.

All that just makes me think the DEA is really on doctors because we are a state that doesn't have a pill mill problem, so doctors wouldn't give many pills to many people, much less one that had a baby.

The only problem I have with that is that I and others think that she found TWO of the murder scenes and reported ONE in the 911 call. One would think that after she found whichever the FIRST one was, she would have been too scared to enter another trailer. But I can see why she immediately called her close-by relatives before 911. She would want someone there FAST! Even if she called 911 after her FIRST discovery, it seems awfully brave to me that she DARED to check a second one, instead of trying to get away from possible danger. JMO
I don't think she went into any other trailer at all. Just one.
From listening to the call, she did give the operator 2 names. Chris and Gary, who were both found in the same house/trailer. Since Gary Rhoden was a cousin to Chris Sr., Bobby wouldn't have been that close to him at all. I think that's why she started out with her brother-in-law.

911 call
The first audio released came in early in the morning and was placed by a woman who found the first two bodies.
http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slat...11_audio_from_ohio_rhoden_family_murders.html

The first call was made by a distraught woman who discovered two of her family members, Christopher and Gary Rhoden, with gunshot wounds to their heads — the men are two of the eight family members who were killed early Friday in execution-style killings in Piketon, Ohio.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nat...spects-ohio-family-massacre-article-1.2612130

One woman called 911 sounding frantic and out of breath, telling a dispatcher, "I think my brother-in-law's dead ... There's blood all over the house." She then says it looked like someone else was dead there, too, before weeping into the phone.

My brother-in-law is a dentist. Your portrayal of the DEA is representative of the scrutiny he's under. Good post.

Okay, thank you. I guess I had assumed Kenneth was the 4th place, so this being the 5th place was a bit of a surprise.

I think it's likely they searched the property across the street from where Kenneth was found. There is a trailer and a barn over there that is connected to 50+ acres the Rhoden et al owns and also a large pond there too. Another possibility could be the 1.9 acre property that CR owns by himself that also has trailer on Camp Creek Rd.

>>>SNIP<<<

Where exactly do you hear children's voices? Maybe I can try to enhance the sound quality.

>>>SNIP<<<

Start at 00:06 of the 911 call through about 00:09 or so. I can hear a toddler and then BJM says (away from the phone), "Let go, <sounds like> Jer... hold on".

More on the pill mill angle. This is from 2012, but featured the involvement of the Sheriff prior to Reader.

http://www.newswatchman.com/news/article_28f63f31-313e-5b2e-9e6e-deb763c492cf.html

Note the connections of who-all was involved in this one:

There has been some mention of Greenup County connections here, although they could be merely coincidental. The Scioto County Sheriff was the one who said plainly within the last week or so that he was aware of Mexican Cartel involvement locally and said his Deputies had received threats from them. Again--none of this ties specifically to the Rhodens, but it does provide insight into the background and why so little hard information has been forthcoming from LE. And why I think that we are not likely to see any immediate arrests. We have some really big-time players circling around.

Bringing forward this video of an interview with a retired DEA officer who worked in this area for years. Worth watching if you haven't already

The issue is, she and her father have said they went in all the trailers, which is why some of us have issue with the 911 call.

Mark Seevers, minister at the Dry Run Church of Christ, said the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home contacted him last week to see if the facility was available for the funeral services.
“We quickly said yes,” Seevers said this morning, as he met with the media prior to the funeral services. “Even though the Rhoden family are not members of our congregation, we wanted to be of service to our community and be of help to them at this time of great tragedy and loss in their lives.”
The facility seats 480 people comfortably, Seevers said, and a large crowd is expected today. There also are a number of security officers on site.

I work in multiple ER's and medical clinics, including a pain clinic.

The DEA is ALL over physicians about opiate prescriptions. Some take it very seriously, some could care less. We see drug seekers in the ED all the time, if they don't get what they want, they'll just come back. They know they'll get a doc that doesn't want them taking up the room because we know why they are there, so they will give them what they want and send them on their way.

In the Pain Clinic, they have to sign a narcotic contract. It's a great idea, except our pain clinic isn't on any of the same EHR systems as the hospital, so when those people come into the ED we have NO idea they aren't allowed to be receiving scripts from us. While the pain clinic tries to control what they are handing out, most of our patients are on things like Methadone and MS Contin for their "pain" and it's ridiculous. While we will not fill a prescription early for anyone, we still supply it.

In Orthopedic Surgery.. We are glorified drug dealers. These people do have pain documented somehow, but we continue increasing their meds unnecessarily.

Also, in the ED, our scripts we write out are typically not more than 15-20 pills at a time, but you would be amazed the amount of people that we see 4-5 times a week. The ED is no longer for emergencies. It's VERY sad. And it truly makes me sick to see sometimes that we are essentially killing our own patients by allowing them to be addicted to these narcotics and feeding them.. But we know they'll find it somehow.. It's always a hard day when we finally cut someone off and they come in a few weeks later with a heroine overdose.

This is becoming a BIG problem everywhere, not just Ohio. It's lurking in your neighborhoods, and most don't have a clue its happening. It's business men and woman, it's college kids, it's everyone.

I would like to apologize for my "out there" theory. I realize I'm not as up to date with all the information other users know for a fact. Currently 12 family members of mine work in varied areas of LE, military, Judicial system, guess I really made a big blunder not staying within the "box". From now own I will be more in line with others opinions and theories.
I do not live in Ohio or anywhere near there, do not know anyone remotely near there either. Again I apologize.

Think out of the box, I do all the time. ;) This could be one of so many things that's happened. One thing that's obvious is LE is keeping close security on everything, so this could still be a dangerous situation for the family members and/or community. What do you think happened?

It's a shame also, it only hurts the ones that really need medicine. Government agencies aren't very good at looking at individual issues, easier for them to lump everyone together.

Huff Post out today with a story on the six Chillicothe missing women.

More than one comment alluded to the possibility of a cop being involved in this. Follow the trail, who is one who has "problems" and has been indicted for manslaughter? What would LE do if they knew that they had harbored and even inadvertently equipped this rogue? I wish there was a way to confirm whether a hearing happened on the 22nd or was postponed because of the killings.

I have been wondering about this 5th location .
I could explain 4 of the search warrants ... The 5th makes me wonder.
Or was the 5th location the pond ?

Could be IJ's home or what about the Manley truck that LM was upset about?

http://local12.com/news/local/dea-veteran-weighs-in-on-pike-county-murders

"When he heard details of the Pike County murders, he formed a theory, "It was definitely professional. You have four locations pinpointed. Surveilled, mapped out. This is something those houses and those families have been watched, they know what time they go to bed they know what time they got up, they knew what their daily activities were. They knew the entry to get in the fastest and how to get out."

This is another thing that's so upsetting, the AG said they preplanned this, so they possibly waited till Hanna was home from the hospital, so evil.

IMO, he wasn't saying there was a body at that location. He was saying they were searching another location, assume looking for the perps or more evidence of some kind. Seems highly unlikely they would find another victim and be able to keep it secret.

That part of the story went quiet. It will be interesting to see what they found there. Another grow operation? Wonder where it was? He mentions its in Scioto county. Anyone up for some google maps serching?

That video was posted on 4/22.

Maybe AFTER she made the call to 911 and her dad was there, they then went to the other trailers before the police got there? IDK :dunno:

Well all that must fuel the problem. When I broke my ankle years ago I don't think the doc would have just kept giving me pain meds over and over. Also with my kidney stones, after my last surgery and all was clear, if I had kept calling in pain, the doc would have believed me because he knows me.. BUT.. He would have immediately checked to see if something else was still going on that was missed and probably give me one prescription, but if he found nothing, he would send me to another specialist.

Also I had two ER visits with the stones and my primary care knew and they got records of my surgeries also, the doctor called to check on me for each visit and surgery.

Maybe that is more closely followed here because I am in a larger city and there is a network for the hospitals and the doctors.

I think this is also a possibility. I also noticed that Bobby is out of breath. Perhaps from the shock, or perhaps because she just ran. So this would explain some of the mysteries around the 911,
but not all (such as her saying "please don't hurt me").

I think that's probably not the full 911 call and there is disagreement on the please don't hurt me. Many suggestions have been made - one was something like Jesus, don't let it be. I think that's more realistic than please don't hurt me.
