OH - Roger Dillon & Nicole Boyd for $8 million robbery, Liberty, 2007

  • #21
Yeah, if we got into that down in the dumps. I'm a teen/young adult and my life is yuk we'd get rid of it real fast if mom had anything to do with it. No brooding allowed. Oh and no matter what was wrong mom always pointed out "Somebody is way worse off than you. Now SNAP OUT OF IT".

Don't want to hijack, but I've always disliked that line of thinking. There's always someone worse off, just like there's always someone better off! A person has a right to feel the way they do, without someone telling them how to feel, ya know what I mean? That's just always bugged me.

Nothing personal against your mom, filly, I'm just commenting in general.

What part of PA? Or is it Ohio?

Hey, maybe they read up on the Dan Cooper theft........instead of hijacking a plane, they did it a little easier and got away with far more money! I know, not funny.

Hopefully, this will peacefully end with their arrest and no one getting killed!!!

Liberty is in north-east Ohio, about 10 miles from the PA state line.

That is what I hope too, that if (when) they get caught, they'll just surrender.

It just hit the national news:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,313981,00.html

and the FBI poster:

http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/seekinfo/dillon_rl.htm

Its says neither Roger nor Nicole are considered 'fugitives of the law' but should be considered 'armed and dangerous'.

The FBI is also checking into his MySpace!
Wilson said agents are reviewing Dillon's MySpace page, which they believe reveal several hints of the crime.
[snip]
"We're certainly looking at some of the comments on that MySpace page to see if we can develop further leads from that," Wilson said.

Anyone want to place any bets on this involving Jared?

I am still trying to find his younger brother's MySpace btw. Does anyone know how to search just using the last name, or current students at certain schools?

$7 million Liberty theft required planning

LIBERTY — Taking more than $7 million from a township business would involve advance planning by those suspected of taking the loot, an FBI agent figures.
Planning would involve how to carry and move the money, or stash it; changing vehicles; and maybe the suspects have changed their appearance.
Police are looking for Roger Lee Dillon, 22, and his girlfriend, Nicole Boyd, 25, both of Lowell Avenue in Youngstown.
Special Agent Scott Wilson of the FBI Cleveland office said the adults could be traveling with a minor — Dillon’s younger brother. But he said officials really aren’t sure who is traveling with Dillon and Boyd.
Police today recovered the purple 1999 GMC pickup truck owned by Dillon. Lt. Donald Beeson of the Salem Police Department said the truck was recovered at a flower shop in Salem after a concerned citizen reported it as suspicious.
Wilson said Dillon and Boyd are now traveling in a van.

If you go to Jared's MySpace and then the White Gate Campaign group, he's the owner of that group and it's located in Salem, OH. His last name is Mason, middle name William. There are several people by that last name in Salem.... including a listing for 'William and Jared Mason', where the age for Jared would be correct, too. There are several flower shops near his street address (if it is the same Jared which I am 99% sure of). The closest to the address is Quaker Corner. Maybe (certainly) Jared isn't from PA after all.... Good catch on Jared's comments, Nan! (I'm not hesitant to put his full name out there because it is all listed in his MySpace anyway).

If the FBI know they're now travelling in a van, they're not going to get far, because the feds must know a tiny bit more than we're reading/hearing in the news. Maybe it has to do with 'the Salem connection'?

My bet is Roger and Nicole (and maybe little brother?) got the money, then picked up Jared. If I had the guts I'd call the phone number and ask if Jared is home... :o

LOL I thought that too, Filly! I still am kind of rooting for them though.... lol... I'm bad. :o

As descendents of great grandparents who hid out Bonnie and Clyde for $50, I also hope they get away with it, in a way.

JanetElaine, I'll pick you up and we'll go find 'em. We can split the reward! I'll even throw in a food processor! :D

Texas Vicki, this is true that your great-grands hid out Bonnie and Clyde? That's wild. Has the story been handed down to you guys? I'm fascinated by that kind of stuff. Was it just them two or the whole gang? Sorry if off topic. Are these two kids still out there with the millions?

See you around 7.

Seriously, I've been looking for this GMC truck up here. I highly doubt they'd come here though. :( Betcha they are hanging around with the group in Salem though. You close? Maybe you could go undercover there and bust 'em. :D I'll still give you the food processor.

Look for a van now:

"What we believe now is that they may be in a 1989 black GMC Safari van with a silver stripe along with running boards and flared fenders, and an unknown Ohio license plate," Wilson said.

Very subtle. LOL

Some more updates in here as well: http://www.vindy.com/content/local_regional/343343737920513.php

I'm about 45 minutes from Salem, but I think they're long gone from there... possibly went to Virginia (another one of the buddies lives there) or towards, again, Mexico.

I'm pretty content with myself btw for finding all of that MS info and the address etc... :o How sad am I LOL.

I'll leave the porch light on, TM. ;)

GOOD GRIEF!

What business would have 6 million in their safes?????

I've heard of older people putting their money under pillows, etc. But for a business to have that kind of money in their building is RIDICULOUS!!

I might even be tempted to try to take a small bit of it............ :):):)

sheesh, I am so dumbfounded.

There is no way this person is going to get away with this !
6 million isnt pocket change by no means but I will say it would be kinda neat if he did get away with it !:D

Usually, illegal drug businesses are the ones that can have that much cash on hand.

Looks like they were possibly headed to Virginia after all. The couple was arrested in West Virginia early this morning: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,314484,00.html

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted LOL. Wonder if they were on a good-bye tour of their friends, and I wonder if our local news is going to apologize for all the bad info they gave (brother in tow, mother in tow etc.).

That's so funny, JE. I thought the same thing. I was living vicariously through them two. Busted, huh? Guess that guy is going to have to deal with them consequences now like quoted in his Myspace. I wonder how much they spent and on what?
