Human remains found in Wheelersburg, Ohio

Human remains were found Thursday in Wheelersburg, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office says.

They were discovered in a field along the 5400 block of state Route 522.

Investigators say it appears the remains had been at that location for some time. Those remains have been taken to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. An autopsy will be performed to help determine the person’s ID and a possible cause of death.

I found an article saying the remains were IDed as Rebecca Lee Kerns. The location of her remains matches the address in the original post. JMO

Body of missing 26-year-old woman found near field in Scioto County, Ohio

The remains were identified as Rebecca Lee Kerns, who was reported missing by the Portsmouth Police Department in October 2018.
