This is horrendous. Right around the block from me. I can't understand what would make someone do this.

Ohiogirl, I am so thankful that you and your family are ok. Prayers for the families involved and the survivor who will have to deal with suvivor's guilt. This is not understandable in the least.

This man seems to have had alot of pent up rage issues. How can you know what someone like this will do? I can't see a way to predict an incident like this. Just absolutely senseless.

First no local media released the names, but everyone knew around here who they were. Also, there are reports that the shooter had called police in the past and they coded it as "mental" illness. Although he was able to get a gun, I wish there was a way to get the background check to include police reports and not just ajudicated crimes. Probably would not have sstopped this, but who knows. The story regarding the 11 year-old boy is too heartbreaking to discuss right now.Prayers, prayers, prayers.

I know. I just feel so awful. Like you I live around the corner. All I can do and have done is pray..especially for the boys' mother. This is truly one of the most heartbreaking, senseless acts of horrific violence. I just keeping asking God to help all those affected.

What a horrible experience for this family.
I partially wish this guy had lived so he could stand trial and face a lifetime in jail or the DP.

I can't imagine going through an experience like that, with your children, and ever being able to look at things the same again. Continued prayers for all that are involved.
