I thought it was T too, however that would make more sense as to why 6 has been closed between 120 and T for so long. I thought it was to keep gawkers away from the family, but if that was the abduction scene it totally makes more sense. 6 is less travelled than T too.

This was 6 when I went by between 120 and T. The cornfield is on the left. I was on 6 going North

Vaculik has found peace by sitting on her back deck and looking out onto the evergreen woods where she and Joughin used to walk when she was a little girl.

"She'd call [the woods] her 'beautiful world,'" Vaculik says. "And I sit out there and I remember that it is a beautiful world, and it will be again."

I see where Sierah's beautiful and strong spirit comes from. That quote from her Mom deeply, deeply, touched my heart.

It was posted earlier, but;

I've held her up in my heart from the get go and I needed to read her words. I've been wishing peace for her & she has been on my mind daily - I could even say hourly.

To bring children into this world and feel the responsibility for their safety and well-being. For this to happen.

Well, I don't have the words.

May God give her strength. I just don't even know how these mothers do it. They are always so stoic like lovely mama lioness, courageous and brave, while remembering their beautiful daughters that had such bright futures. I pray daily that I never have to tackle such a loss.

What a beautiful mother and beautiful daughter! I pray she finds peace knowing her daughter is in heaven and she will see her again. I think Sierah is a hero. I think she threw JDW off his game. I think she gave him a fight he was not expecting. Her actions have made it easier for LE to solve this case so quickly. Just imagine how many more women's lives she has saved! Also any cases that are found connected to him will be solved and give those families peace too. I also pray that JDW will get the death penalty. Rest in heaven sweet Ce! Lord be with this family and give them strength and comfort.

Add to list..

Worley fits the profile of a serial offender and could potentially have additional victims who could have been kept at [his property]," a sheriff's sergeant said in one search warrant affidavit. That affidavit sought to recover a wide range of possessions from Worley's property, including "documents in reference to prior criminal acts, evidence of prior abductions, instruments of sexual deviation, journals" and more

The wording in the linked article makes me wonder if the search warrant the media is quoting (the one we have not seen), is intentionally broad in description. Meaning, LE felt they may find "documents in reference to prior criminal acts, evidence of prior abductions, instruments of sexual deviation, journals" .

It doesn't mean they would find everything listed in the search warrant, but the bases need to be covered in the event they did find something and could legally seize it. The only way we will know exactly what was found, is if we had a copy of the search warrant return, listing the evidence seized.

It's late, I'm tired, I hope that made sense.

Yes. It makes sense.
If they didn't include "journals" I would think the warrant was just covering possible findings. But journals were found.

Can anyone tell me how LE came to find Sierah? Dogs? Drone? I haven't heard yet, and Also if anyone knows how long she had been there before being found?

bello27jf, it was reported that the search for SJ was being called off due to rain moving in and also reported that a specialty K9 was brought in. As a member of a SAR, it was obvious that a cadaver K9 was likely the specialty dog that was brought in. Imo, due to the extreme heat, and bloating, there was likely vulcher/buzzard activity which caught the eye of an aware citizen or LE. jmo

These same people think nothing of standing in a driving rain storm in order to watch a rock concert or a football game.

Steelman, reading between the lines, time may no longer be that critical in the search, depending on conclusions made from the CSI results, forensics, and other information gathered during the investigation up to this point. The specialized K9 being brought in for today search was revealing, imo.

That seems like one hell of a leap from a "suspicious" disappearance to a recovery operation. Shouldn't there be some evidence and proof thrown in the middle of those two in order to justify that conclusion ?

What if she is hurt badly, but still alive, lying out in the middle of a field somewhere ? What classification does that fall under ?

Foxfire, a question for you.
In your opinion, was the secrecy and hiding part of the thrill for JDW?

TIA

She was found during a grid search, with JDW's property at the search's center.

Absolutely, Momoffourboys... JDW also thinks of his victims as being his own personal property.. It is why they seldom give up their remains locations. JD Worley is/was an organized sexual predator/serial killer. Imo, he had been watching SJ for some time, her movements/routine, and planning the abduction for when the opportunity arose...jmo

Human Victims/Prey, were only items, objects, or chess pieces to JDW.. He was aware that the clues, left in his wake(ritual grounds/residue) weren't visibly obvious to the seasoned homicide investigator; 'love, rage, hatred, fear, evil'... because they can't be touched, seen, smelled, or heard..

*Self-titled BTK (Bind ’em, Torture ’em, Kill ’em); Dennis Rader, also an organized serial killer chose his victims carefully, stalking them for days and weeks, learning their movements, their schedule, and then carefully planning his attack. Rader said that the stalking and planning for the kill was even more gratifying than the kill.. Rader was also a very poor student in high school.

Sorry if my questions have been answered before and I missed the answers.

1. How large was the area in the cornfield? From what I interpret Jashrema wrote it was only a few rows deep and 3 or 4 stalks wide. So Maybe 4 feet x 4 feet. That is not a large enough area for a struggle and to sit or lay her down to restrain her.
2. Where all the evidence items close together like they were placed or were they scattered as they would be in a scuffle?
3. Why would the corn be flattened outward? If JDW dragged her in wouldn't they be flattened towards the field not the road?
4. Did LE remove any of the stalks for further tests?
5. How much blood was at the site?
6. What do they mean by ski mask? I read they found mace in his truck and a ski mask with blood on it. Do we know what sort it was? I am wondering if maybe he had it on to protect himself from breathing in mace and his sunglasses to protect his eyes if he sprayed it. That would explain how he gained control over her.
7. What time did her family go out looking for her and how did they look for her? Did they get in the car and trace the route slowly looking for anything fishy. Did they walk around with flashlights?
8 Who found the abduction site? Was it family and that is why they called the police? Was it LE after the family found no signs of her? How long were they looking before the bike and stuff was found?

The corn field is huge, it is an average country corn field. It runs from 6 back a good ways. The ski mask was found in the truck and Im guessing an average ski mask with eyes and mouth slits. They haven't released many details on it but that's what I picture. The corn typically does not move or bend. I have seen deer move flawlessly through fields. We have all seen the area after the fact, there could be numerous reasons the corn was disturbed. It could have been pushed out during or after or during the investigation. They seem to be keeping things close to the vest, which is good in some ways. They seem to be doing a great job with controlling information. I'm sure when information comes out it will be when they are ready.

The motorcycle helmet found at the scene and covered in human blood is most likely the weapon that was used to gain control over her - after hitting her with her motorcycle and causing her to crash in the ditch.

"That peace was shattered when a red flat-bed truck zoomed by her. Gardner kept pedaling anyway. Suddenly, the truck re-appeared, slamming into the back tire of her bike.

She was thrown from it and rolled into a roadside ditch. Worley jumped out of the truck and ran over to her, asking if she was okay. After she said “yes,” he struck her on the back of her head and dragged her out of the ditch and across the road to his truck, threatening to kill her the entire way.
...

Police originally questioned Worley while they were canvassing houses near his property. He told them he had been riding his motorcycle at the time of Joughin’s doomed bike ride, but that his motorbike had broken down. He claimed to have lost his helmet, screwdriver, sunglasses and fuses when he pushed his motorcycle into a nearby field, presumably to work on it.

All of those items were found near Joughin’s bicycle. Human blood coated the helmet."
